I detta projekt kartläggs elanvändningen vid Säffle Verkstadsbolag AB. Projektet undersöker även olika effektiviserande elåtgärder, samt effektiviserande värmeåtgärder på kontorslokalen. De frågor som projektet svarar på är:1. Hur ser företagets elanvändning ut i dagsläget?2.

Thinning is one of the most important silvicultural activities in middle aged forests, partly to minimize damages and partly because it leads to earlier harvesting revenues and increases the value of the remaining trees. There are many different indices used to describe stand density and thereby the need of thinning in forests today. Studies have shown that forest variables can be estimated with high accuracy using airborne laser scanning and it is likely that the method could also be used to estimate forest density indices. In this study, the possibility of using the forest density index ?H² to determine and map priorities for thinning operations for a forest area was examined.

Metadata är en viktig del i arbetet med geografiska data. Med bra metadata kan användaren på ett enklare och effektivare sätt hitta de data som är intressant för just honom eller henne. Länsstyrelsen i Västmanland har stora mängder geografiska data och beslutsdokument som rör geografiska områden. Dessa geografiska data och dokument lagras på servrar och är tillgängliga för handläggarna (användarna). GIS-gruppen har tidigare lagrat metadata för dessa geografiska data i en databas uppbyggd i Microsoft Access men en nyutvecklad metadatabas, GisMeta, ska börja användas.

Rapporten behandlar utvecklingen av en portal som är tänkt att användas av alla olika delar av en företagskoncern, både som intranät, extranät och extern webbplats. Denna rapport undersöker vad som är viktigt att uppfylla för att skapa en portal av detta slag där kraven på flexibilitet är stora, samtidigt som de olika företagen i koncernen ska ha utrymme att agera både som enskilda företag och som medlemmar i en koncern. Rapporten undersöker även om tekniken SharePoint kan vara lämplig att använda i ett sådant fall samt tar upp alternativ till SharePoint. Slutsatserna är att två aspekter är särskilt viktiga i en portal av slaget som efterfrågas. Dels att portalen utformas med en tydlig struktur och väl definierade nivåer med klara uppgifter, dels att tekniken bakom portalen är anpassningsbar, öppen för vidareutvecklingar och att tekniken är modulbaserad.

Idag är webbhandel en del av vardagen och är ett utmärkt sätt för ett företag att kunna locka till sig nya kunder. Detta är något som den ny öppnade butiken Grandpa insåg och de ville därför ha en mer utvecklad webbsida. Till vårt förfogande för att skapa denna hade vi html, PHP, JavaScript? och MySQL. Detta för att systemet senare skulle kunna fungera på en Linux-server. Uppdraget var att skapa en webblösning med dessa element där besökare kan ta del av information och bilder som bl.a.

Studien beskriver de för- och nackdelar som företag upplever med affärssystem som molntjänst. De avgränsningar som gjorts är dels att jag valt att endast använda tre företag, dels att jag haft som krav att endast använda företag som har ett heltäckande affärssystem som molntjänst. Jag har använt mig av en kvalitativ metod genom att göra en fallstudie där jag intervjuat fyra personer på tre olika företag. Syftet med intervjuerna var att få en god inblick i vad de tycker att affärssystem som molntjänst har för för- och nackdelar. Frågorna till intervjuerna har valts ut med underlag från den relaterade forskningen jag samlat in genom vetenskapliga tidsskriftsartiklar, böcker och populärvetenskapliga artiklar inom ämnet samt från föreläsningar som getts på det systemvetenskapliga programmet i Göteborg.Studiens slutresultat visar att respondenterna anser att fördelarna är betydligt fler än nackdelarna.

Today many different types of lock systems are used all over the world. Passwords, finger prints and magnetic strips are a few examples. When the key is a three dimensional object, lika a physical metal key, the security depends, in a high degree, on that you can?t copy the object without access to it. One approach to copying the object is photographing the object, and from these photographs create a copy.

This reports purpose is to give a general view on how to handle information collectedthrough photogrammetry and laser scanning with the help of UAS. The report ismade in collaboration with WSP Group and will briefly describe howphotogrammetry and laser scanning, also known as Lidar, works and how those areused in the construction business today. Then the focus will be on how gathered datais handled today, how outsourcing of data should be approached and if there are anyconsequences if data is handled in the wrong way. Interviews have been made with allparts in the UAS business. That includes authorities as Transporstyrelsen,Försvarsmakten.

The main problem that is seen in schools is that teachers sometimes don not reflect on what kind of pupils they have in the class and therefore do not adapt their way of communicate, which can lead to confusion and misunderstandings from the pupils side.In this essay I have study a teacher?s way to communicate with her pupils depending of what kind of class she has. The main question is How the dialogue between teacher and pupils looks like, and after that there are two more questions that are answered.The method in this essay is of a qualitative form where the observation is the main method to gather the empiric parts. The analysis is also of a qualitative form.The theoretical frame is taken from different scholars but the main focus lies in the subject of communication and dialogue and how these subjects are depending on the relationships  between people. But there are also a theory from Bahktin were he points out how to succeed with a dialogue in a classroom.The conclusion in this essay is that communication and dialogue in the classrooms are important regardless what kind of pupils you as a teacher have.

A multivariate cross-sectional model is used in this thesis to proxy for expected earnings and to estimate return on equity for 214 companies over the period 2009-2013, using Swedish data. The model, which has never been tested on Swedish data before, is first confirmed to function as a forecasting model for expected return. Furthermore, the model is evaluated through a comparison with two univariate models based on the assumption that return on equity follows a mean reversion process. Forecast accuracy is calculated as the difference of estimated returns and actual returns. The results show that the univariate models' forecasts are superior to the multivariate model's..

The aim of this study was to understand how social workers deal with honour-related violence, with special focus on the processing from sheltered housing. Our qualitative interviews with social workers that work with this kind of problems show that there are both obstacles and opportunities in the processing from sheltered housing. On the negative side are the loneliness, the shame and the guilt that the girls may experience when they need to leave their families. The social services can both be an obstacles and an opportunity. When the girls need to create a new life in a new city they have a lot of opportunities and in the same time it is hard to get to know new friends when you don´t know the city or have much money.

This study has been carried out in cooperation with Unilever and partly with the EC founded project, Smartdoc IST-2000-28137. In areas of statistics and image processing, both the amount of data and the dimensions are increasing rapidly and an interactive visualization tool that lets the user perform real-time analysis can save valuable time. Real-time cropping and drill-down considerably facilitate the analysis process and yield more accurate decisions. In the Smartdoc project, there has been a request for a component used for smart filtering in multidimensional data sets. As the Smartdoc project aims to develop smart, interactive components to be used on low-end systems, the implementation of the self-organizing map algorithm proposes which dimensions to visualize.

För att företag skall kunna konkurrera på ständigt föränderliga marknader krävs att de har kunskap om exempelvis kundbehov, konkurrenter och nya produkter. Källor till denna kunskap finns både internt inom organisationer och externt i deras omgivning. Både de interna och externa kunskapskällorna är viktiga, men under de senaste åren har ett allt större intresse riktats mot de externa källorna, då de har blivit allt viktigare för att organisationer effektivt skall kunna hantera sina affärsprocesser.En av de kunskapskällorna som ofta nämnts är Internet och den data som lagras på hemsidor runt om i världen. Dock är det svårt att hitta relevant data på Internet på grund av dess omfattning och dynamiska karaktär. Det har därför börjat uppkomma nya tekniker för att inhämta, strukturera och integrera data från Internet.

Methodology The foundation to my essay has been created using both primary and secondary data. Inquiries have been handed out to Handelsbanken. This data is completed with appropriate theories and ends in an analysis and finally a result and suggestion to continuing studies.Conclusions My conclusion is that the employees and the management has the same opinion on the bonussystem Oktogon. Both parts sees the system as a motivation factor in the organization. But still not enough effect on the employees to call it an effective strategy..

This report is the result of a sub-project of a larger project to create a platform formathematical education. The sub-project focuses on authentication with associ-ated security, where security is emphasized. The project environment is Java EE 6where GlassFish 4.0 acts as the server. The project has been divided into threeparts; password encryption, Java EE authentication and brute force attack. Thepassword encryption part focuses on examining different hash functions executionspeed, the result shows that none of the examined hash algorithms is suitable fordirect use.
