The goal of this thesis is to analyse whether the method ?Observiaire? is of any use for traffic analysis. The method consists of analysing film material, preferably before and after changes are made to an area, by answering a survey for the users that are observed within the population. The method also opens up for deeper qualitative analyses which are rooted in the quantitative data collected from the survey-study. In this study we analyse the method by applying it to the case study of the changes made at Götgatan in Stockholm, where a green wave was implemented and the bicycle road widened.

This paper describes the development of a simulation model for the ambulance flow in the Västra Götalands-region of Sweden, and an analysis tool for the output of the simulation model. The aim of the simulation model was to be able to evaluate the outcome from changes in the ambulance operations, such as a reorganization of ambulances or an increase in intensity of the ambulance calls. This evaluation is meant to serve as decision support for the strategic planning of the ambulance operations. The analysis tool was developed to visualize the abundant geographical data produced by the simulation model in a meaningful way. The simulation model was validated against historical data which showed that the dispatch time for the highest prioritized ambulance calls corresponds well with historical data.

At Flight and Systems test Saab AB, a post-processing software is used to process GPS data. A new software by the name GrafNav has been purchased and the purpose of this master thesis therefore became, partly to make a judgment regarding GrafNav?s ability to estimate position, velocity and accuracy, partly to if needed improve the estimate and finally find one or several methods to estimate the position and velocity accuracy. The judgment of GrafNav was performed partly by a comparison to the former post-processing software (PNAV) and partly by a comparison to the airplane?s inertial navigation system (INS).

The project Easy Battery Handling - EBH has been carried out in our auspicial and completedfor Devantini Corporation, a development company in Halmstad with its main concern inenvironmental friendly innovations.EBH has solved one of many technical challenges in one of Devantini corporation?s largerprojects. This main project involves the development of an electric powered formula racingcar. The part of this car that involved EBH was the battery handling to guarantee safe andquick battery exchanges during pit-stops.The solution became an entire battery module, hanging on the side of the car on two spearspointing out from the car. The batteries are exchanged by a specially designed trolley that isinserted under the battery module.

Volatil-data är information som försvinner när datasystemet stängs av och kan vara nödvändig t.ex. när man försöker läsa en krypterad hårddisk, då krypteringsnyckeln (Casey, et al., 2011) kan finnas i (Random Access Memory) RAM-minnet som är volatilt. I IT-brottslighetens barndom utvecklades (Brown, 2009) metoder för att påverkan på ett datasystem vid ett beslag skulle bli så liten som möjligt. Detta gjordes för att beviset man får från datasystemet skulle hålla i en rättgång och gick ofta ut på att slå av strömmen på datasystemet.

Modern semiconductor design methods makes it possible to design increasingly complex system-on-a-chips (SOCs). Testing such SOCs becomes highly expensive due to the rapidly increasing test data volumes with longer test times as a result. Several approaches exist to compress the test stimuli and where hardware is added for decompression. This master?s thesis presents a test data compression method based on a modified facsimile code.

I datalogikurser inom nätverks- & systemadministration där studenten ska kunna få praktisk erfarenhet genom laborationer finns det vissa krav på laborationsmiljön om utbildningen skulle erbjudas på distans. Studenten måste då kunna installera nya operativsystem fritt inom kursens ramar i en virtuell miljö.För att denna variant av laborationsmiljö ska vara möjlig att erbjuda, krävs det mjukvara där det för studenterna fritt går att installera operativsystem med stor flexibilitet i en virtuell miljö. En studie behövs som utreder vilken funktionalitet som är relevant och vad som kommer krävas av de mjukvaror som påträffats användbara för laborationsmiljöer inom främst systemadministration.Detta arbete har jämfört funktionalitet och prestanda hos mjukvarorna VMWare vSphere 5 med vCenter Server mot Red Hat Virtualization 3. Resultatet påvisar i stort mycket likvärdig prestanda men VMWare har betydligt mer funktioner som kan vara användbara i miljön.

This study will focus on the luxury market and how this market has been affected by the present recession. The economic downturn have had a major impact on today?s business and consumption, practically all industries have been affected. However there exist different opinions about how the luxury market have been influenced, certain experts mean that this segment is recession proof while others believe that this market will experience the worst side-effects. For that reason we find it interesting to analyze the luxury market and develop our own opinion about the impact of the recession.

 Extra high requirements are made on all systems in health care that they are functional and usable,´something, however, that is not always the case. At Emergency Admissions at Sahlgrenska University´Hospital many systems are in use at the same time and it happens that much overhead is caused by having to fill in the same information in different places. In addition, data that is gathered is to a large extent saved in free text format, which means that it cannot be used in a larger context such as research, quality control or for decision support. Data is saved in the patient file only for the treatment process of the individual patient.A data collecting system with decision support functionality could be a first step towards reducing Emergency Admissions? costs and patients? waiting times by providing a structured method of data collection.
