The idea to develop  a platform for a PID-controller came from the need to control the temperature in  an espresso machine in a more exact way than a thermostat could perform. In discussions with Syntronic AB the idea developed into PID-control for industrial use. Syntronic AB suggested that the platform should be based on a commercially available processor module to shorten the development time. The suggestion included the use of the microcomputer Raspberry Pi, which supports USB, HDMI, memory card and Ethernet.The work began with establishing a schedule for the 10 weeks of the projects duration, and after that a system specification listing all functions, implementation and limitations was made. When the foundation of the system specification was done, a preliminary system design took shape.Because of the Raspberry Pi´s lack of Analog-to-Digital converter, a circuit board containing Wheatstone bridges, differential amplifiers and a two channel Analog-to-Digital converter was fabricated.

In order to break through the crowded airways and packed ad space, one can choose to direct the message through channels that relate to currenttrends in society, while using innovative artistic concepts. The fundamental purpose behind this report is to provide a roadmap for creating a successful and unique marketing campaign. In addition, we have attempted to identify how visual methods can add valuable attributes to the campaign, ensuring a more progressive and distinct impression. To illustrate our claims, we have chosen to analyze Wasabröd?s latest marketing effort, ?Change Bread,? by dividing it into three sections, including planning, execution, and the visual creation.

The competition amongst companies is getting tougher and the economic markets are getting even bigger with new products and businesses. One way for companies to differentiate themselves from the competitors is through packaging design. If the merchandise is to send a reliable and solid message to consumers, the attributes of the packaging must be consistent and uniform. If the different attributes are not coherent, the message loses credibility towards the consumer. Through the sent messages, the pack signals the products? expected quality and price.This paper includes two studies, in which the main objective is to discover and build understanding about Swedish consumers? perception of a product?s price depending on the pack?s design.

Det finns idag få system som ger en god överblick av en restaurangs bokningar och bordsplaceringar. Oftast används papper och penna som ställer till med problem när kunder avbokar, ändrar deras bokning eller helt enkelt inte kommer till restaurangen. Det är även svårt att avgöra huruvida restaurangen är fullbokad eller ej.Denna rapport behandlar utvecklingen av ett webbaserat bordsbokningssystem för restauranger på uppdrag av en restaurangägare i Jönköping. Systemet ska ge en grafisk överblick av en restaurangs bokningar och hur alla bord ska stå placerade under en kväll. Då systemet webbapplikationen ska ha flera användare, som använder olika enheter, krävs det att systemet ska vara plattformsoberoende.Med hjälp av HTML5 undersöks det huruvida det går att göra detta system offlinekompatibelt, då uppdragsgivaren önskar att systemet är åtkomligt då Internetuppkopplingen försvinner.

Chinese Remainder Theorem is used to solving problems in computing, coding and cryptography. In computing we can compute with shorter numbers instead of large numbers and this will make the computing-process faster and easier. In coding it can be used for error-searching and error-regulating.Cryptography means that we can send a coded message and that no one will be able to read it without the decode-key which is based on prim-numbers. I am writing about the history of mathematics and how the number- and decimal number-system is used in Babylon, Egypt, Greece and in China. Abacus was a very important aid to calculate advanced mathematical problems.

The aim of this study was to compare activity, lying down and getting up behaviour, weight gain and cleanliness in heifers in cubicles versus on deep-litter. The study was conducted from autumn of 2005 until autumn of 2006 in a commercial organic dairy herd with 340 cows. In 2005 the farm rebuilt half of the young stock accommodation from deep-litter pens to cubicles. The experiment used 150 heifers of the breeds Swedish Red, Swedish Holstein and crossbreeds between these, all born on the farm. The animals were divided into three blocks based on breed and within each block they were sorted after increasing age. The youngest heifer in each block was randomly allocated to one of two groups, cubicle or deep-litter pen.

The purpose of this degree project is to clarify how five Kenyan Life Skills teachers discuss about hiv and aids education. Furthermore, to reveal whether the validity claims in their verbal communication refers to facts, morality or personal experiences. This, I will study by examine the teachers knowledge of, and attitudes towards, the disease. The teaching methods they are using and the basis of their validity claims. I have chosen to use semi-structured interviews as method and the theoretical framework is based on Jürgen Habermas theory of universal pragmatics.My result shows that there is a dilemma about whether the respondents knowledge is sufficient or insufficient.

The goal for this thesis work was to develop Business Intelligence (BI) for an IT consultant company.LexiConsult is an IT consultant company in the Lexicon-group which offers expertise within Office (templates, database, spreadsheets, Outlook etc.) but also SharePoint development and services like support, documentation etcetera.We have investigated the functionality in SharePoint and MS SQL Server and have also evaluated which possibilities these platforms offer in terms of creating a BI-solution for LexiConsults needs. SharePoint offers a variety of different tools and services for BI but none of these where available in the Office365-version which LexiConsult uses. Another solution was therefore suggested where the reports should be published on a web hosting company.We have also studied critical success factors when implementing BI in an IT consulting company.The result is a set of BI-reports developed for SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), which the staff of LexiConsult can access via their SharePoint site.The reports are designed for monitoring and analysis of the economy with e.g. key performance indicators, drill-down of the revenue in different aspects such as by time period, per employee, per customer etcetera. The reports provides vital knowledge that can be used for decision support, e.g.

Idag pratas det mycket om ett fenomen som kallas Cloud Computing, vilket kan kort beskrivas som tillhandahållning av datorresurser så som informationslagring, processorkraft och applikationer via Internet. Begreppet Cloud Computing har ingen direkt motsvarighet på svenska men kan översättas till exempelvis molnbaserade datortjänster eller molntjänster. Vanligtvis så innebär Cloud Computing att it-företag hyr ut en del av en server samt annan datorservice till en organisation. Cloud Computing är ett attraktivt alternativ för både den privata och offentliga sektorn och efterfrågas i allt större utsträckning. Från ett arkivvetenskapligt perspektiv associeras Cloud Computing med många fördelar, men kanske med ännu fler nackdelar. De centrala problemföreställningarna relateras till tillit i en digital miljö.

This thesis is the final part of bachelors program of Nuclear Engineering at UppsalaUniversity (program code KKI1). The work has been carried out in cooperation withForsmark Kraftgrupp AB. The topic studied deals with possible improvements ofefficiency at the planning department at block 2 in Forsmark i.e. FMP2.FMP2 plans and coordinates over 3,000 operations which is carried out during theannual overhaul of block 2 in Forsmark. This makes it interesting to see what kind of problems that exists in the current communication. Problem statement: What noise is there in communicating to a multicultural target group and how does they affect the goals and the result with the communication?Purpose: The purpose of this paper is based on the communicationmodel and from there describe the communication between companies and multicultural areas, and from this identify problems with such communication.Method: 118 respondents were selected through a convenience sample and then  asked questions through structured interviews based on a questionnaire.

Det är inte bara datorn i sig som kanvirtualiseras utan även delar av det, såsom minnen, lagring och nätverk. Virtualiseringanvänds ofta för att kunna nyttja systemets resurser mer effektivt. En hypervisorfungerar som ett lager mellan operativsystemet och den underliggande hårdvaran. Meden hypervisor har virtuella maskiner sitt egna operativsystems kärna.

The objective of this study was to examine three common mobile phoneplatforms in relation to their network traffic features. The platforms to beexamined are Android, iOS 5 and Windows Phone. After the investigation wascompleted a prototype application was implemented in order to demonstratethese features in the most suitable platform. The application will function as atelephone call exchanger. In addition, the application must also send the userstatistic to a Web server, accept contacts from a Web server, as well as having aspecial administration part in which the userstatistc can be presented.

Warning-labels as a mean of communicating social responsibility in the store. Previous studies have shown conflicting results regarding the effectiveness of warnings-labels as a way of communicating health hazards to customers and making them more conscious about the risks and changing their behavioural intentions. The focus of this study is to shed some light on how the customers react to warning-labels with different levels of fear in the store atmosphere. The results of this study tells us that liking of the retailer and its image as being socially responsible is not enhanced by the usage of a warning-label. If the retailer decides to use a warning-label, in spite of this fact, the recommendation is to use a high level of fear if the purpose is to make the category seem more risky and make the customers want to change their behaviour.

Man vill idag öka tillförseln av förnybar energi både i Sverige och i resten av världen. Det finns en möjlighet att i våra svenska skogar hoppa över röjningen för att sedan göra det vi kallar för en gallringsröjning i denna uppsats. Tanken att man skördar biomassa från bestånden. Det finns dock frågor som behöver besvaras innan man kan rekommendera att hoppa över röjningen för att ägna sig åt röjningsgallring istället. Vårt mål med arbetet var att koncentrera oss på frågeställningen om huruvida ett uttag av helträd sänker tillväxten jämfört med en röjning där träden lämnas kvar.
