Det övergripande syftet med denna uppsats är att försöka förstå hur unga kvinnor upplever att ha ett digitalt jag på den sociala medieplattformen Facebook. För att få en förståelse av deras upplevelse har jag valt att dela upp teoriavsnittet i två större delar. Den första delen syftar på att förklara konsekvenserna av att leva i en värld som präglas av medier. Utgångspunkten ligger i McLuhans välkända begrepp ?The medium is the message? (1964/2001) för att förstå hur de nya sociala medierna blir en förlängning av den egna fysiska kroppen och Thompsons interaktionstyper (1995/2001).Det andra teoriavsnittet behandlar hur man kan försöka förstå människors upplevelse av att leva i en värld som präglas av medier.

Vi har under våra praktikperioder i gymnasieskolan uppmärksammat att intresset för matematik i många fall är lågt hos eleverna. Att matematikintresset bör ökas visar också den senaste granskningen som gjorts av Skolverket under 2001 och 2002. Med stöd av detta utförde vi ett utvecklingsarbete med syfte att undersöka hur inslag av laborativ matematik i undervisningen påverkar gymnasieelevers intresse för matematik. Undersökningen genomfördes under fyra veckor på Livsmedelsprogrammet vid en gymnasieskola i Luleå Kommun. De mätinstrument vi använt oss av är skriftliga enkäter samt observationer.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka om svenska koncerners resultat och nyckeltal påverkats av den standardändring som infördes i USA från och med årsskiftet 2001/2002, SFAS 142. Detta för att kunna generalisera resultatet till den svenska marknaden i och med att IFRS 3 implementeras under 2005. Vår undersökning, som genomförts med en jämförande ekonomisk utvärderingsmetod, visar att samtliga undersökta koncerner redovisar ett synbart högre resultat och en urskiljbar högre vinst per aktie. Vi kan konstatera att vid såväl ett positivt som ett negativt resultat är standardändringen gynnsam för koncernerna. Ju större goodwillposten är desto större förbättring av vinst per aktie på grund av den uteblivna avskrivningen..

En diskursanalytisk studie av Dagens Nyheters rapportering kring Ludmila Engquist. Författare: Ulrika Apell Syfte: Syftet med denna uppsats är främst att undersöka om, och i sådana fall hur, konstruktionen av Ludmila Engquist har skiftat vid olika tillfällen i hennes karriär. Detta görs utifrån ett intersektionellt perspektiv, där hänsyn tas till aspekterna genus, nationalism, etnicitet och utanförskap. Ett annat syfte är att, utifrån teorin om ?the human interest story?, undersöka hur den mediala berättelsen om Engquist konstrueras i Dagens Nyheter. Metod/Material: Undersökningen utgörs av en reflexiv diskursanalys i tre steg av de artiklar om Engquist som publicerats i Dagens Nyheter från december 1995 till december 2001.

The aim of this study is to analyze the discussion on the publication of twelve caricatures of the prophet Muhammad, in two Swedish newspapers ? Dagens Nyheter and Sydsvenska Dagbladet. The caricatures were originally published in the Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten, in September 2005. Even though the violent protests and attacks against Danish interests gained major media attention in Sweden few ? if any ? major Swedish newspapers published the caricatures.Using Fairclough?s Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA), a theory and a method that critically examines the relationship between text, the discourse practice in which text is produced and consumed, and the wider social practice, this study examines why Swedish newspapers chose not to publish any caricatures.The study concludes that the relationship between orders of discourse continuously affect, and is also affected by, Swedish media content.

Syftet med den här uppsatsen är att djupstudera hur publiken uppfattar sanningshalten i dokumentärfilmen Sacrificio av Erik Gandini och Tarik Saleh som sändes i Sveriges Television år 2001. Filmen handlar om vem som avslöjade gerillaledaren Che Guevara. Vi har utgått från tre grupper som fått agera publik och tittat på dokumentärfilmen under tre separata tillfällen. Dessa grupper har sedan blivit intervjuade som en enhet och därefter har svaren tolkats som tre enheter. Grupperna har varit åldersbaserade och bestått av fyra till fem personer.

Syftet med denna studie är att undersöka eventuella skillnader mellan att undervisa män och kvinnor i sång, om sångpedagoger anser att de anpassar sin undervisning efter kön, samt om eleverna upplever någon skillnad i att undervisas av pedagoger av olika kön. Studien bygger på intervjuer med två sångpedagoger; en man och en kvinna, samt med två av deras respektive elever. Studien visar att sångpedagogerna väljer att anpassa undervisningen efter de olikheter de anser finns mellan flickor och pojkar. Det handlar mer om tidigare inlärning än om fysiska olikheter. Samma övningar används för pojkar och flickor, men anpassas efter kön.
