Har vindsvåning blivit ett sätt att leva? : Gentrifiering ur ett svenskt perspektiv
It is a well known archaeological concern that the remains of human bones left from the bronze age and early iron age Scandinavia are not nearly enough to represent the estimated population of the time. Furthermore the bones of each find rarely represent a whole individual. The majority of the bones must have been disposed of somewhere else, possibly scattered in running waters or in the fields, where they have evaporated or are securely hidden from archaeological excavations. This thesis deals with the grave concept and the problem in using a word that is so very clouded by its modern, western meaning. It also offers an alternative explanation to why the bones are handled the way they are and why they are found in such awkward contexts..

En studie av sedimenttransport, död ved och kantzoner längs två vattendrag i Kilsbergen - från skog till slätt :
Headwater streams are affected by anthropogenic impacts at multiple scales.
One aspect of human impact is sediment transport associated to the
abundance of stream structures as large woody debris and the composition
of the riparian zone from forest to agricultural landscapes.
Riparian buffer zones and stream structures like dead wood are considered
as generally important structures for protection against an increasing
amount of sediment particles in the water. Hence, in this study these
structures were quantified in thirty different stream segments on land and in
the water.
To measure the transport of sediment Whitlock-Vibert boxes were used in
three different types of landscapes; forest, transition and fields. The boxes
were left in the stream segments for three months, the taken up and dried
and weighed. The results showed that the transition-land in Frösvidalsån
had the highest sediment transport. The second highest transport of
sediment was in Blackstaån at the fields.

CODP Co operative design process - from urban strategy to detail
This project investigates the cooperation between architect and engineer. The context of the investigation is the design of buildings for a sustainable society. The goal of the project is to further the development of the sustainable built society by increasing the knowledge of the interdisciplinary cooperation between these two fields. The focus is a close cooperation already from the start of a project. By involving both fields in the early design stages it is thought that the knowledge and skills of each field is better utilized.
Kan man se med öronen? : En uppsats om filmljud
This thesis is about the interaction between composition, notation and interpretation and what occurs between the fields with an extended notation. The purpose of my thesis is to examine the possibilities tothoroughly describe and map the sounding samples through composition prototypes. The thesis has a qualitative approach, and the empirical material consists of different documents about notation and from interviews with musicians and students about the instruments used in the thesis. It also consists of 17 compositions recorded at Örebro University School of Music as an appendix. The analysis shows that the context in which the symbols are found, play an important role in performing them. It also shows that the performers are rooted in a traditional way of performing..
Elastiska bibliotek : en undersökning av två folkbiblioteks formbarhet och gränser med hjälp av begreppet elasticitet
The purpose of this Master thesis is to examine whether the term elasticity is relevant and functional to apply to public library organisations. Another aim of the thesis is to relate the term elasticity to public library organisations in a network society. Sociologist Manuel Castells provide the theoretical framework on the network society. Three investigations (meant to complement each other) in two Swedish public libraries seek to give answers to these questions. To be able to examine which areas of public library activity are elastic, I make a rough definition of what public library organisations consist of ? nine activity fields are identified using IFLA?s guidelines in combination with Swedish law of public libraries.

Förmedling av invandrarförfattare: I texter som riktar sig till bibliotekssektorn
The purpose of this study is to examine how immigrant authorsare mediated in texts. The study is based on three magazines which are directed towards the library sector. These texts have been published from the year 2000 to the year 2012. The study focuses on two of these magazines, namely Bibliotek i Samhälle and Biblioteksbladet. The study focuses on authors who write in the swedish language, but who still seem to be perceived as immigrant authors.

Species diversity and geographical distribution of Fusarium species on winter wheat in two regions in Sweden
Various Fusarium species causes some of the most common cereal diseases worldwide. Besides the yield losses that can be a result of these diseases, strains from several Fusarium species can produce mycotoxins, some very toxic. The aim of this study was to investigate which Fusarium species and how many that occurred in winter wheat grains from Mälardalen and Kalmar län, if there was any difference in the distribution of Fusarium fungi between the regions and the potential within species to produce mycotoxins belonging to the group trichothecenes. Winter wheat grains collected in 2009 from ten fields (unsprayed plots) in the two regions were analysed for Fusarium species. PCR was used to amplify the TEF region where after the samples were sequenced.
