Syftet med studien var att undersöka hur psykosociala faktorer som habitus, socialt kapital, attribution och inlärd hjälplöshet påverkar elevens motionsvanor och aktiva medverkan i ämnet Idrott och hälsa. Genom en enkätstudie på en grundskola och en gymnasieskola samlades 113 enkätsvar in och analyserades.Resultatet av studien pekar på att de undersökta faktorerna spelar stor roll i elevernas livsituation och till viss del deras närvaro i ämnet Idrott och hälsa, även om den på de besökta skolorna varit hög. Föräldrar, vänner och omgivning har stor betydelse för elevernas attityd och inställning till idrottande och tillsammans påverkar de i förlängningen närvaron i Idrott och hälsa.Gällande attributionsteorin finns tydliga kopplingar till olika faktorer, främst inre och yttre faktorer. Det märks tydligt att eleverna begår det fundamentala attributionsfelet då de tillskriver andra elevers frånvaro inre faktorer samtidigt som deras egen frånvaro oftast påstås ha yttre orsaksförklaringar. Tecken finns även på självtjänande bias, omvänd självtjänande bias och self-handicapping.

Studien undersöker huruvida den nybildade nordiska börsen kommer att få någon påverkan på svenska företags chanser att införskaffa nordiskt riskkapital vid en nyintroduktion. The main object of this master thesis is to examine whether domain-analysis could be used toorganize the collections in a library serving interdisciplinary studies, and in that case - howthat could be done. The thesis is based on a case study of a library for Asian studies, which alsoserves as a library specialized in that subject in the Nordic countries. The author has used, i.e.interviews and observations examining who the users of the library are and how these seekinformation. A theory part deals with some earlier studies of information users within arts andsocial sciences, and these are compared to the users of the examined library.The thesis states that one has to look at the different disciplines in which research is done (andcould be done) at the institute to which the library belongs, and that subject terms could beadded to the various documents from the view of those domains..

In this master's thesis the problem of determining the uncertainty for an estimator of an unknown parameter is considered. The case we study is the estimation of gravity using a reversible pendulum. This involves the estimation of the point where two regression lines intersect. The estimated gravity is a function the coordinates of this point. One way to determine the uncertainty of this estimator is to use bootstrap methods.

In the literature it is not possible to find something about Swedish UN Military Observers (MO) experience of life is changing after their service. The aim of this study was to investigate if this has happened. The selection is of type ?snowball?. Interviews were made with twelve MO by telephone, both male and female.

A church in rural Vester Egede from the earliest Christian period in Denmark e.g. the early 1100, a baptismal font is found showing a woman breastfeeding two animals. She is said to be a typical early roman Luxuria, in mild appearance. However, what makes her unique is that she appears standing on the top of her head, her womb serving as font. The main question is how come that a baptismal font like this is to be found in a church, leading to the sub question, if this font really has a Christian origin or could it be rooted in Norse, pre-Christian tradition, alternatively is the font an expression of a syncretism between the two colliding cultures.

The study seeking explanations for change, similarities and differences in the various texts based on three themes which are results, future and confidence. In this qualitative study five CEO's words are explored by means of a discourse analysis, all from large Swedish industrial companies listed on the Stockholm Stock Exchange. Some of the results shown is that the CEO tends to talk about the company's results in a self-serving manner and CEO speaks more aboutm the results before than after the crisis.

Introduction: We are facing an aging population, which means that the incidence of age related diseases, such as Alzheimer's disease, are expected to increase. In the current situation there is no cure for the disease, whereupon it is important to develop preventive strategies. Objective: To examine the association between Alzheimer's disease and physical activity. Method: A systematic literature search was done to identify the current state of knowledge from the year 2006 onwards. The reason for this limitation was that the SBU commissioned a systematic literature review in 2006, where the relationship between physical activity and Alzheimer's disease could not be determined.

Hälsosamma kostvanor och regelbunden fysisk aktivitet har visat sig vara viktiga beståndsdelar i förebyggandet och behandlingen av flertalet sjukdomar. Människors uppfattningar har visat sig vara av vikt i förändringen mot en mer hälsosam livsstil. Syftet med studien är att kartlägga uppfattningar bland vuxna invånare i Göteborgs kommun, med avseende på kost- respektive motionsvanornas betydelse för såväl den personliga risken, som allmänhetens risk att drabbas av sju livsstilsrelaterade sjukdomstillstånd. Enkäter valdes som forskningsmetod i syfte att samla in kvantitativa data från 180 individer i tre av Göteborgs kommuns tio stadsdelar. Resultaten visade att tron på livsstilens inverkan på sjukdomsriskerna, generellt sett, var stor men varierade beroende på sjukdomstillstånd.
