Empowerment - en nödvändig kraft! Att som sjuksköterska stärka Diabetes mellitus typ 2-patienter mot empowerment

Bakgrund Diabetes mellitus typ 2 är en snabbt ökande sjukdom i hela värl-den. Den påverkar människors välbefinnande och skapar ofta stort lidande för de drabbade. Det är en endokrin och kronisk sjukdom med påverkan på blodsockernivån. Långvarigt förhöjda blodsockernivåer kan leda till svåra följdsjukdomar som hjärt- kärlsjukdomar. Sjuksköterskan har en betydande roll i att för-medla kunskap genom ett holistiskt bemötande och att stärka pa-tienten genom ökad empowerment.

To increase the understanding of how individuals total life situation affects their stress level and health has lately more frequently been discussed in different contexts. Furthermore, it is important to have knowledge of power structures that exist under given circumstances in a society to get an increased understanding of how to structure the health promoting work to get the highest possible benefits. People?s work life is essential to their health, since we spend a lot of time at work. The aim of this study was to find out which factors that relate to nursing staff?s health and stress level from a general perspective.

Faktorer som påverkar flickors och pojkars självkänsla i skolan. : en kvantitativ studie i form av enkätundersökning

Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka vilka faktorer som påverkar flickors och pojkarssjälvkänsla i skolan, samt att finna eventuella genusskillnader. En kvantitativ metod i form aven enkätundersökning användes, där eleverna i årskurs 8 på en högstadieskola i VästraGötalands län deltog. Studien visar att flickorna har lägre självkänsla än pojkarna i skolan.Flickorna skattar sin egen kunskapsnivå lägre än pojkarna, trots att de har högre betyg änpojkarna. Flickor har svårare än pojkar att få fram sina åsikter i skolan. Flickor tycker det ärsvårare än pojkar att prata i helklass.

"Vadå, har du bara en examen?" : En studie om relationen mellan studier och extraarbete

This study discusses the relationship between studies and part-time work. The aim is to gain a deeper understanding of why students enrolled in the programme of human resource management and working life choose to undertake part time work, specifically in the human resource business in such great extent while studying full time and what this means for the students regard gaining knowledge. It focuses on the students experience and in order to gain the understanding of this phenomenon three qestion formulations were formed; ?What are the reasons formed by the interviewed human resource-students for having part-time work in the human resource bransch, in addition to their full-time studies??, "What values are made visible regarding the students choices of having a part-time work in addition to their full-time studies?" and ?How does the students express the thought about their part-time work as a key to learn from their studies?? The empirical data were collected through interviews with eight branch-specific human resource-students. The data was analysed based on previous research and a theoretical framework consisting of Lave & Wenger's theory of communities of practice and John Deweys theory of learning by doing.

The aim of this study was to investigate how school personnel work with preventive and health promoting efforts to motivate young people to achieve interest in physical activity and nutrition awareness. Further the aim was to describe the possibilities and difficulties that school personnel experience in their work.  The research questions were: How do school personnel describe their health promoting work at school? In a health promotion perspective, what efforts do school personnel think is important when it comes to nutrition and physical activity? What possibilities do school personnel experience with health promoting efforts? What difficulties do school personnel experience with health promoting efforts?The study has a qualitative approach in which seven individual interviews were conducted with personnel at a secondary school. The respondents worked with different aspects which broadened the perspective.

Att börja på högstadiet och byta både skola och de flesta av sina klasskamrater kan vara positivt såväl som negativt. Den här uppsatsen bygger på en fallstudie gjord med kvalitativa intervjuer som handlar om en 13-årig pojke som har funktionshindret Downs syndrom och är inkluderad i årskurs 7.

"Arbetslöshetssjukan": en kvalitativ studie av arbetsförmedlares upplevelse av arbetslösas mående

The purpose of this study was to examine how the personnel of the Employment Office in Malmoe interpret the emotional situation and health of unemployed individuals. We also wanted to examine if and how the personnel work with these aspects. In relation to this we found it very interesting how the personnel dealt with the responsibilities of power, hierarchy and how subordination afflicts the unemployed. Our main questions were: Are the previous studies results confirmed by the response the personnel of the Employment Office give about the difficult situation among unemployed individuals? Which factors do the personnel at the Employment Office consider the main causes of negative emotional situations among the unemployed? How do the personnel deal with the emotions of the unemployed? How does the important responsibilities of power affect the relationship between the personnel and the unemployed? Which effects/impacts from current political changes are the personnel able to see on the situation of the unemployed? We interviewed eight people working at the Employment Office in Malmoe.

"Jag förstod ingenting" : En kvalitativ studie om sex ungdomars upplevelser av att ha dyslexi i grundskolan

One of the most important goals of school is to teach children how to read and write. But there are also children with great problems in reading and writing/dyslexia at school. In the Swedish School Plan you can, for example, read that one of the school?s most important goals is to give these children with special needs the help that they need.This study will investigate how six young people with reading and writing problems/dyslexia experienced the first nine years at school. There has been very little research regarding students´ experiences of having reading and writing problems/dyslexia early in school, which is strange because school is a place where children spend most of their time.

Mental träning på schemat : Hör tankens kraft hemma i skolan?

AimThe aim with this study was to acquire knowledge of mental training and if you can use it in the elementary school to increase in a short period of time the performance in a coordination test. Furthermore we wanted to investigate teachers understanding of the possibilities to perform this kind of training in the elementary school, and if there is support for this in the school regulation.MethodAs method we have used a combination of a literature pre-study, interview and at the end an experiment. Before the experiment and interviews could take place we studied literature about mental training to get a basic knowledge of the subject. The facts we learned from our pre-study and interviews gave us the base for our experiment. The experiment group included 23 pupils in a third class at school situated in Stockholm.

In this text I will work on three situations from my daily work as a pedagogue at preschool. The situations are about how pedagogues at preschool relate to children in difficult situations, e.g. when they pee in their pants or long for their pacifier. Those are situations which occur frequently at preschool, but they are still rarely coming up for discussions. The problem in the situations is difficult to describe which makes the essay a suitable form for me to explore and discuss it.

Barn- och ungdomars uppfattning om sin övervikt och fetma som ett problem samt skillnader i aktivitetsnivån hos barn- och ungdomar beroende på deras sociala familjesituation

BackgroundIncreased prevalence of obesity in children- and young adults and risk for diseases related to obesity will increase the burden on medical care. It is important to identify early risk factors that can be noticed by nurses in the daily work.AimThe aim was to investigate whether children- and young adults themselves perceive overweight as a problem and if there was a difference in the measured activity levels between overweight children- and young adults in families with different socio-economic family status.Method descriptionExisting survey from the Obesity Centre at the Akademiska Sjukhuset were examined together with the results from an accelerometer, where children- and young adults activity was recorded, compared to their perception of how active they were. The results were compared using a statistical software program and compiled with descriptive and non-parametric statistics.ResultsThe results do suggest that the majority of children- and young adults experiencing excessive weight have a problem in their everyday lives. Nearly half overestimate themselves as more active than what the actual measurements with accelerometer demonstrated. Much time is spent in front of the TV and computers.

Support group activities for children with mentally ill parent´s, without a parallel parent group, is by far the most common form in Sweden. The activities have primarily focused on increasing the frequency of the protective factors around children. Of course, parents and the families are also influenced of children´s participating in these activities. Most studies examining support group activities for children from the child's perspective. The experiences of parent?s perspective have not been well studied.

Hur påverkas sexualiteten av en stomi? : Individers upplevelser

Bakgrund: Omkring 25000 individer i Sverige lever idag med en stomi. Stomin kan ha en påverkan på den sexuella hälsan då den kan orsaka problem vid sexuella aktiviteter. Den kan också hota vuxenrollen på grund av förlusten av att inte kunna konrollera tarmen. Sjuksköterskans uppgift är att ge vägledning, utbildning och information om sjukdomsförloppet och den sexuella hälsan. Att prata om sexualitet inom sjukvården kan dock vara problematiskt då det är ett känsligt ämne för både patient och sjuksköterska.Syfte: Att beskriva individers upplevelser av sexualitet i samband med stomi.Metod: Litteraturöversikten baserades på tio vårdvetenskapliga artiklar som hämtats från databaserna CINAHL Complete, PubMed, Medline, Academic Search Complete och DOAJ.

BAKGRUNDEn utav lärarnas uppgifter är att bedöma och betygsätta sina elever i ämnet Idrott och hälsa.Det visar sig vara viktigt att veta vad man som lärare ska bedöma och betygsätta hos elevernaför att bedömningen ska bli rätt. Vi har haft ett antal betygsystem genom åren somhjälpmedel för lärarnas bedömningar och betygsättningar. Men hur anser lärarna att de självabedömer sina elever i ämnet Idrott och hälsa?SYFTE OCH FRÅGESTÄLLNINGARMitt syfte med examensarbetet är att undersöka vad lärare i idrott och hälsa anser de självabedömer och betygsätter hos sina elever. Arbetet kommer att besvara syftet utifrån tvåfrågeställningar det vill säga vad lärarna anser att de bedömer och betygsätter hos eleverna iidrott och hälsa samt varför de bedömer sina elever som de gör enligt dem själva.METODExamensarbetet inspireras av hermeneutiken som vetenskapsteoretisk ansats och kvalitativdatainsamling genom intervjuer som metod.
