Studiens syfte: Vårt syfte är att med hjälp av en enkätundersökning och etablerade motivationsteorier ta reda på vad som motiverar konsumenter inför ett bostadsköp.Metod: Vi har använt oss av en kvantitativ metod och informationen har samlats in med hjälp av en elektronisk enkätundersökning för att sedan kopplas till Self Determination Theory (SDT).Resultat & slutsats: Resultatet analyserades med hjälp av statistikprogrammet SPSS. Faktoranalysen resulterade i 13 faktorer, vilket slutligen gav en bild av 6 olika typer av konsumenter som alla motiveras på olika sätt.Förslag till fortsatt forskning: SDT skulle kunna användas på fler konsumentområden såsom upplevelser, resor eller för att ta reda på varför vi köper olika typer av varor.Uppsatsens bidrag: Vårt examensarbete har bidragit med att identifiera de motiv som driver oss till bostadsköp. Studien har visat att SDT kan vara ett lämpligt verktyg för framtidens fastighetsmäklare och att resultatet kan vara användbart i fastighetsmäklarrollen. .

The aim of the study is to investigate how social workers relate to the Self-determination in cases that involve people who have dementia. To investigate this we have chosen to build a qualitative study. The study is based on four interviews with social workers in elderly care in Sweden. To analyze our material we chose the concept autonomy, and legal texts from the Social Services Act (SFS 2001: 453) and Parental code (SFS 1949: 381). Our results show that social workers are often forced to deviate from the law and guidelines to ensure the best for the person with dementia.

Det skrivs mycket i media om den nya generationen 80-talisterna som är på väg in på arbetsmarknaden. De skiljer sig från tidigare generationer genom att vilja självförverkliga sig själva samtidigt som de vill ha en hög lön och ett trivsamt arbete. Utifrån Self-determination teorin som bygger på de tre psykologiska behoven autonomi, kompetens och relaterande är syftet med denna studie att undersöka om det som skrivs i media stämmer med vad som faktiskt motiverar 80-talister till arbete. En enkät genomfördes med 72 undersökningsdeltagare. Resultatet visade på ett signifikant samband mellan yttre motivation och arbetsmotivation.

This study focuses on the development of methods for sexual determination of human skeletal remains, mainly between the years 1981 to 2007. By comparing an older analysis from 1983 (Persson and Persson) with my own on the same material, a difference of 40% was shown, which indicates that the methods has changed through time, and that these should not be used for newer conclusions about a population if the method is not throughoutly described.The main cause of the difference was identified as a change in the reliability of the sexual indicators, rather than a total change of method. Any general tendencies did not show, it is however considered that the pelvic bones are able to make a better conformity between the analyses as opposed to using the cranium..

Utgångspunkten för denna uppsats har varit sambandet mellan autonomi, självständig motivation och målkongruens. Sambandet har hämtats från Self-determination Theory, där autonomi anses vara en förutsättning för att uppleva självständig motivation som i sin tur anses viktigt för att skapa målkongruens i en organisation. Då autonomi inte är en självklarhet inom alla yrken har syftet med studien varit att undersöka sambandet mellan motivation och målkongruens bland anställda med standardiserade arbetsuppgifter på ett produktionsföretag. Fallföretaget för studien har varit Sandvik AB som verkar inom tillverkningsindustrin. Det empiriska materialet har inhämtats på en och samma avdelning genom intervjuer med en produktionschef samt nio anställda.

Syftet med studien var att undersöka inre arbetsmotivation och arbetstillfredsställelse genom att se vilket motivationsbehov och vilken typ av arbetstillfredsställelse som skattades högst. Syftet var även att undersöka vilka motivationsbehov som bäst predicerar inre och yttre arbetstillfredsställelse. Studien genomfördes inom äldreomsorgenen i en mindre kommun i Sverige. 80 personer deltog i studien som genomfördes som en enkätundersökning. Mätinstrumenten som användes var Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire (MSQ) och Basic Need of Satisfaction at work Scale (BNS).

AbstractThe purpose of this study was to investigate the consultants' approach to the intrinsic and extrinsic motivation in temporary work agencies. We examined the motivation of three temporary work agencies to see if there are any differences in how they motivate their consultants. The intrinsic motivation comes from the own spontaneous interest while the extrinsic is related to the surrounding circumstances.We created a survey with 42 questions for the consultants, concerning motivation in order to understand their attitudes to the phenomenon of motivation.The following issues are addressed in our study:- What are consultant?s experiences of motivation in the temporary work agencies and are there any background factors that may impact?- Are there any differences in how consultants in the three different temporary work agencies are experiencing motivation?As analytical tools, we used concepts and theories of the intrinsic and extrinsic motivation based on Self-determination theory.The results of this study showed no distinct differences between the intrinsic and extrinsic motivation of all consultants, but in general the intrinsic motivation was experienced slightly higher rated. The consultants appeared to be aware of what was expected of them and communication was valued fairly well.

The aim of this essay is to problematize the role of living support in a group home and to examine staff reflections about the users' opportunities for and possibly limits to self determination and, in addition to this, how they work towards supporting this right. The study is conducted through seven semi-structured qualitative interviews. The theoretical points of departure are theories of empowerment and paternalism. We have analysed the study results from the vantage point of these theories. The results are consistent with earlier research showing lack of guidance for supporters and also a lack of common approach towards users..

This paper aims at shedding light on the effects of a broken psychological contract in terms of job satisfaction. In a qualitative field study, the author researches seven newly recruites employees about their expectations when starting their jobs at the rapidly growing, Swedish company Klarna. Using Herzbergs two-factor model of hygiene and motivation factors as well as modern motivation theory, i.e. Self-determination theory, the study answers questions as to what makes a candidate choose a company and what factors motivates as well as demotivates the recruit at the job, in the onboarding phase. The result is an attempt to describe what makes a recruitment process successful..

This thesis examines the tendering process from the point of view of Swedish building contractors. The purpose with the study is to chart the decision process for the contractors during the tendering process. The study is designed as a survey study. This made it possible to reach a wide base of respondents, not letting such factors as geography being an issue. The survey itself was characterised by a very high response rate compared to other similar studies. The result from this study shows that former experience from similar projects, current workload and the clients economic condition are very important factors for both whether or not the contractor will bid for a project as well as the cost estimation and tendering price. Former experience from similar projects is also an important factor for the determination of the indirect costs.

På 1970-talet undersöktes hur den inre motivationen påverkas av yttre belöningar när en individ ska utföra en uppgift. När yttre belöningar ges minskar den inre motivationen för uppgiften. Inre motivation (egenintresse) och identifierad reglering (nödvändigt intresse för att nå ett högre mål) beskrivs i Self-determination theory (Deci & Ryan, 2000). Vissa utbildningar ger yttre belöningar som en legitimation t.ex. sjuksköterska eller sjukgymnast medan andra ger en mer generell examen.

The aim of this study has been to achieve an increased understanding of the meaning of home for people in homelessness. The study is based on texts written by people in homelessness and a qualitative content analysis has been used to process the material. The result has been analysed with an inductive approach, using parts of the analysis method grounded theory. Three aspects of the meaning of home was identified in the texts; control, Self-determination and independence. The lack of a home means a major limitation concerning these aspects, according to the texts.

Self-determination Theory är en teori som handlar om hur hur och vilken grad av motivation vi har för att göra saker. Vi applicerade denna teori på Crossfitutövare då vi tror att det är en motiverande träningsform. Syftet med studien är att undersöka upplevd kvalitet av motivation i samband med Crossfit-träning. En enkätundersökning genomfördes mot 94 Crossfit-utövare från två Crossfit-anläggningar i västra Sverige. Enkäterna mätte tre olika variabler inom ramen för Self-determination Theory: tillfredsställelse av psykologiska behov, målsättningar och motiv till träning.

This paper examines which media messages related to happiness that can be found in interviews with famous people in the four largest lifestyle magazines in Sweden for the age group 16-34. The magazines are Cosmopolitan, Elle, Café and King. Depending on which magazine the reader chooses to read he/she will be presented with different roads to happiness. Common for all examined magazines are happiness factors related to personal goals, determination and work. Often in a causal connection where the goal orientation and determination is tied together with success in work and career for the interview persons.

Hematology-instruments that analyze blood cells can at specific cases be followed by manual counting with a hemocytometer. The plastic hemocytometer which has a fixed coverslip and is assigned for disposable use, appears to reduce the problems arising from the use of the traditional glass hemocytometer, for instance coverslip-application difficulty and dust particles. Capillary whole blood sampling may be useful for patients at the emergency department and in addition, a smaller volume of blood is taken compared to venous blood sampling. This study will focus on the platelet- and leukocyte count (PLT and WBC) in venous and capillary blood, in order to compare the plastic- and glass hemocytometers with Sysmex XN-2000 (Sysmex Corporation, Kobe, Japan), and verify if capillary whole blood sampling can be used for the measurement of these hematological parameters. 30 subjects donated both capillary- and venous blood samples and these blood samples were analyzed with glass- and plastic hemocytometers with Sysmex XN-2000 as the reference method.
