GPGPU is a collective term for research involving general computation on graphics cards. A modern graphics card typically provides more than ten times the computational power of an ordinary PC processor. This is a result of the high demands for speed and image quality in computer games.This thesis investigates the possibility of exploiting this computational power for image processing purposes. Three well known methods where implemented on a graphics card: FFT (Fast Fourier Transform), KLT (Kanade Lucas Tomasi point tracking) and the generation of scale pyramids. SyfteSyftet med studien var att översätta och validera skattningsskalan för tränarbeteenden Coaching Behavior Scale for Sport (CBS-S) från engelska till svenska.MetodSammanlagt ingick 545 deltagare fördelade på två urval. Deltagarna var lagidrottare i de två högsta nationella serierna. Deltagarna besvarade en enkät innehållandes CBS-S och skalor för andra tränarbeteenden, motivation, självförtroende och relationen med tränaren. På datamaterialet utfördes explorativ faktoranalys med varimax rotering och korrelationer mellan de olika dimensionerna i skalorna beräknades. 39 av deltagarna besvarade även CBS-S två gånger och på dessa data beräknades test-retestkorrelationer mellan dimensionerna i CBS-S.ResultatFaktoranalysen fann åtta dimensioner med egenvärde > 1.

Studenter har fått höra att arbeta inom sjukvården med omvårdande arbete kan vara väldigt påfrestande för den egna hälsan. Detta arbetes syfte har då varit att undersöka vilka komplikationer till omvårdnad i form av psykisk ohälsa ? specifikt vad gällande Secondary Traumatic Stress, Compassion Fatigue och Vicarious Traumatization ? som kan drabba sjuksköterskan, samt att undersöka vad som utgör risk- och skyddsfaktorer. Metoden som användes var en litteraturgranskning och man fann att genom en litteratursökning material, för att ett givande resultat som svarade mot syftet skulle uppnås så gjordes en kompletterande sökning där fokus låg på kvalitativa artiklar. Resultaten analyserades och teman framstod, resultaten presenterades under dessa teman.

This study is a value chain analysis for timber in East Africa. It was commissioned by Vi Agroforestry, a nongovernmental organisation registered in Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda and Tanzania engaged in a rural development program that involves promoting tree planting and enterprise development (Vi Agroforestry, 2012). The purpose of the study was to identify and describe common value chains for timber in the countries where Vi Agroforestry operated. Value chain is a concept and a framework describing how to structure information regarding activities included in satisfying a certain customer need, e.g. procurement, logistics, transactions, production and marketing.

This paper describes the work done trying to diminish the noise present in the signal from an IR-detector. The project was aiming towards two different kinds of applications; heat protection and presence detection. The hypothesis was that the signal-noise ratio would decrease if a filter and a proper installation were used for the detector. Some experiments were executed to determine what kind of filter were the most suitable for each application and how these could be installed. After executing the experiments and evaluate the results we recommend to use a specific filter for each application.

Many consulting firms offer tailor-made solutions within complexity management, but these are not general frameworks built upon theories. Carlsberg are dealing with a large complexity within their one-way glass bottles, as they are growing by acquisitions, and are not attained enough economies of scale. Bakgrund: HIV/AIDS är idag en sjukdom som varit känd för oss i snart tre decennier. Synen på människor som har HIV har förvisso ändrats. Trots förändringar upplever personer med HIV fortfarande negativa attityder, diskriminering och socialt utanförskap både ute i samhället och inom sjukvården. Vid en närmare granskning av litteraturen visar det sig att attityder och rädslor finns kvar mot personer med HIV även hos sjukvårdspersonal. A geographical position and its social, cultural and political context as well as climate and specific physical characteristics define the scope for a landscape design project. This has become clearer for us in our master project where we have made a Design Program for the outdoor environment of Wollo University in Dessie, Ethiopia and analysed and reflected on the work and process. The aim for the project has been to design an attractive and functional outdoor environment for the Campus, based on the inventories and the needs and wishes of clients and users. But, the aim has also been for us as landscape architect students to gain a greater knowledge about landscape architecture and the design process by position ourselves outside our usual context. The method has been open and seeking where the site, literature studies, dialogues with people and our own experiences from the field study in Ethiopia has influenced the work. Wollo University is situated 400 kilometers north of Addis Ababa, in a mountainous landscape. It faces problems of heavy rainfall during the summer, soil erosion, a lack of essential facilities, and is still a construction site with empty spaces in-between buildings and infrastructure.
