The concentration and storage of organic chlorine and chloride were determined in soil, to a depth of 40 cm, in a coniferous forest in the Stubbetorp catchment area in south-east Sweden. Also, the spatial distribution of the two forms of chlorine was determined. Soil samples were collected at 49 of the nodes in a grid with approximately 105 m between the nodes. The analysis of spatial variability suggested that no spatial autocorrelation was present either within the variable organic chlorine or chloride. This means that no sample was more influenced by another nearby sample, as compared to other samples further away.

Eutrophication was recognized in the early 1900's and results in severe algal blooms, increased biomass production and eventually leads to an altered ecosystem. In Mälardalen we find the most eutrophic lakes. Most of the applied phosphorus and nitrogen into seas and oceans comes from agriculture, and the nutrients losses are affected by local weather conditions and soil type. Guidelines for storage and distribution of manure were introduced in the 80s, and the rules were strengthened January 1, 2010. Localities and previous county administrations can whether there are special reasons, grant an exemption for manure application during winter-periods despite the current ban.In this essay I have examined how many exemptions of manure application that has been granted at the Sagån river, and what implications it has for the eutrophication of Lake Mälaren.

Predation is a strong dective force on invertebrate prey. Asellus aquaticus differs in pigmentation reed and submerged vegetation habitats in lakes. Light pigmented individuals al vegetation dominated by Chara sp. while dark pigmented individuals dominate in the reeds. These differences have been hypothesized to result from background matching.

Findus Sverige AB, referred to asFindus from now on, harvests peas during a period ofaround 50 days during the summer. The harvest generates about 30 000 tonnes of peas which gives around 40 000 pallets to distribute to the warehouses which Findus uses for final storage. Three hours after the peas are picked in the fields, they have to be frozen to keep their good taste and quality. Because of this the pallets are marked with a preliminary label with quality classification of the content. The Findus quality department then has one day to determine the correct quality of each pallet.

A large number of farms within the agricultural sector will shortly be facing a point of time where the farm will be transferred to the next generation. The grantor can choose between totally 8 different strategies to transfer the farm, of which purchase, gift and a mixed form of these are the most common. During 2007 almost 10 000 transfers of agricultural estates occurred in Sweden and the expectation for the coming years is that about 15 000 estates will be transferred each year. By the time a transfer is about to materialize there are usually several stakeholders that in one way or another is trying to influence the outcome of the transfer. The choice of transfer method affects the conditions and possibilities for compensating the siblings.

This paper focuses on the role freedom plays in Michel Foucault?s analyze of liberal and particularely neoliberal governmentalities. From his perspective, neoliberalism operates through the strategic production of entrepreneural subjectivity and distribution of self-governing. Here autonomy is central for governing, which raises questions about what freedom can mean at all in Foucault, and how resistance can be possible. Through Foucault?s thinking on liberal freedom, we can gain a better understanding of his philosophy on subjectivation and resistance..

Med utgångspunkt i den postkoloniala teoribildningen granskar denna uppsats framställningarna av Asien i gymnasieskolans historieläroböcker för att undersöka hur läroböckerna upprätthåller eller motverkar de orientalistiska- och postkoloniala strukturer vilka beskriver Asien som underordnat väst samt identifierar hur dessa konstruktioner tar sig uttryck. Studien utgår från en ideologikritisk närläsningsstudie av fem läroböcker i historia. Samtliga studieobjekt är publicerade under år 2011 och 2012 inom ramen för den nya läroplanen, gymnasieskola 11, och kursen Historia1b. Analysen genomförs och presenteras via en analysmodell vilken innefattar rubrikerna andrafierande praktiker, över- och underordning, dikotomier och kulturell stratifikation.Resultatet visar att västerlandets hegemoni reproduceras genom i huvudsak eurocentriska diskurser där västerlandet överordnas österlandet eller där en eurocentrisk historieskrivning som berättar en selektiv historia förs i läroboken. Vidare kan av resultatet skönjas en kulturell stratifikation i vilken länder som anammat författningar av västerländska snitt och västerländska sedvänjor värderas högre än länder som inte gjort det.

This essay is an analysis of the objects made of bronze found in an excavation Västergarn parish, Gotland, in 2010, conducted by the University of Gotland. The studied material presented in this essay comes from contexts inside, as well as nearby the foundation of a medieval building which purpose is still not certain. The first purpose of this study is to present the bronze-objects found inside and nearby the foundation of house 6, and to see if there are any datable objects. There is also a discussion whether there has been any bronze-crafting in the area. The second purpose is to make a contextual analysis to see if there are any differences between the material found outside and inside of the building, and what conclusions can be made regarding the function and use of the building.

Syfte: Vi vill undersöka hur betydelsefull populärmusik är för att attrahera konsumenten i reklamfilm. Syftet med vår undersökning är därmed att undersöka hur livsstil påverkar konsumentens preferenser, att förstå vad konsumenten uppmärksammar i reklamfilmer, hur förebilder påverkar konsumenten samt hur reklamfilm och populärmusik tillsammans förmedlar ett budskap. Utifrån dessa områden vill vi besvara vår forskningsfråga.Metod: En kvalitativ forskningsansats med ett hermeneutiskt perspektiv. Teoretiska perspektiv: På grund av forskningsfrågans karaktär har vi valt att använda teorier inom följande områden: Livsstilsreklam, Selektiv uppmärksamhet, Referensgrupper, Celebrity endorsement, Musikens inverkan på individen, Reklam och musik.Empiri: En semistrukturerad intervjuguide användes för att genomföra tolv djupintervjuer med möjliga konsumenter. Valet av intervjudeltagare baserades på ett bekvämlighetsurval eftersom det inte var nödvändigt med expertkunskaper.

Vi började vårt projekt med grunderna till verktyg för att utveckla spel i 2d. Dessa ämnade vi färdigställa under projektet och med dem utveckla en speldemo. Eftersom vi hade gemensamma visioner om spelutveckling så bestämde vi oss för att samarbeta, och fokusera på våra respektive områden. Med att utveckla egna verktyg ville vi få en större förståelse för de grundläggande mekanismerna av en spelmotor och möjligheten att påverka dessa efter våra specifika behov. Det var också för att hålla koden fri från licensierade komponenter för att i framtiden kunna underlätta distribution..

I dagsläget har Sverige ett antal stora aktörer som dominerar den svenska dagligvaruhandeln. Ica, Coop, Axfood och Bergendahl har tillsammans 85 % av de totala marknadsandelarna i landet. Utvecklingen de senaste decennierna har varit att antalet butiker minskat och att antalet storvaruhus ökat. Detaljhandelns styrka har ökat de senaste åren och gör det svårt för mindre producenter att klara av att driva en lönsam verksamhet. Syftet med studien har varit att undersöka hur lokalproducerade livsmedelsprodukter blir en del av sortimentet i dagligvarubutiker på den lokala marknaden.

 Fortum Distribution som ingår i Fortumkoncernen ansvarar för elförsörjning till kund. Uppgiften med detta examensarbete är att skapa en applikation i syfte att visa hur man kan använda GIS (Geografiska Informationssystem) för att korta ned inställelsetiden vid strömavbrott. Den 1/1 2006 infördes en lagreglering (Ellagen, kap 10, § 9-16) om avbrottsersättning, därför vill energibolagen minska avbrottstiden så mycket som möjligt, bland annat genom att korta ned inställelsetiden. Analyser som baseras på NVDB-data, ska göras för att påvisa nyttan med GIS hos Fortum Distribution. Examensarbetet avgränsas geografiskt till Fortums Distributions koncessionsområde i Värmlands län, den del av Västra Götalands län som tidigare var Skaraborgs län samt Bergslagen. Genom att skapa en databas innehållande attribut och domäner, vägdata från NVDB samt Fortum Distributions data, läggs grunden som inställelsetiden ska beräknas från.

Purpose: When the Deepwater Horizon oilrig in the Gulf of Mexico faced disaster in late April 2010, news coverage immediately began of the disaster that would unfold. BP took the blame and its financial resources were strained as it struggled with stopping the oil leak, cleanup work as well as its PR image. While the US took many blows of the consequences to ecosystem and tourism, financial consequences swept across the world, mainly Britain, where BP had its headquarters.The event gives an excellent chance at comparing the media coverage from both the US and Britain. By studying The Daily Telegraph and The New York Times, we want to see both similarities and differences in the themes they focused on as well as seeing trends in the themes over time.Theories: The theory chapter is heavily based around the Agenda-setting theory in the media communication field.Methodology: A quantitative content analysis (QCA) of some 500 news articles in The Daily Telegraph and The New York Times from April 22 to July 15. The QCA was made to find the main theme of articles to give us data on how many articles of each theme, as well as their distribution over time.
