I norra Europa började tjädern minska under mitten på 1900-talet när det moderna trakthyggesbruket tog fart. Man har länge ansett att minskningen av tjädern orsakats av storskaliga avverkningar i gammal skog och att gamla lekplatser dog ut. Idag har omfattande forskning visat att tjädern är flexibel och kan spela även i brukad skog och att den inte är beroende av gammal skog. Den svenska tjäderstammen ligger på en stabil nivå som sakta ökar och varierar i kortsiktiga cykler från år till år. Det avgörande för häckningsframgången är antalet hönor och kycklingar som överlever sommaren och dödligheten orsakas i huvudsak av predation de första veckorna efter kläckning.

Benthic invertebrates play important roles as feeding resources for many organisms in different food webs. Shifts in predation of these organisms can generate cascading effects and potentially lead to the disappearance of one or more species from a site. Cascading effects can bring impacts to organisms who aren?t even directly involved, why studies in this field are important for understanding sudden changes in ecosystems. I examined the predation from fish and waterfowl on benthic invertebrates in the shallow and eutrophic Lake Tåkern in the plains of Östergötland County, southern Sweden.

Den svenska älgstammen har i stort sett levt i frånvaro av björn och varg under större delen av 1900-talet. Istället har stammen reglerats genom en intensiv älgjakt. Nu har både björn och varg återetablerats i våra skogar och expanderar i antal och utbredning. Syftet med denna studie är att ta reda på hur återkomsten av dessa stora rovdjur påverkar älgstammens antal, köns- och åldersstruktur och beteende, samt hur älgförvaltningen påverkas av närvaro av björn och varg. Rovdjursstammarna är ojämnt fördelade över landet och även älgtätheten varierar. Därför kommer en del områden att påverkas mycket och andra väldigt lite.

This report is about planning a demolition. The purpose of this report is that it should become a base for a demolition of house J at the Academic hospital in Uppsala, and also to make general help for planning a demolition. This report also contains a part about how a change in the work environment affects general people. The work started with studies of literature and design of the general part of the report and then continued with a practical study of house J. From the experience of the first two parts of the report a general help for planning a demolition was shaped.

Flodkräftan har minskat i antal efter att kräftpesten införts via signalkräftor till svenska sjöar och vattendrag. Inplantering av signalkräftor har medfört svårigheter för flodkräftsbestånd att återhämta sig då signalkräftan bär kräftpesten, men inte själva påverkas i större utsträckning. Förutom sjukdomar påverkas flodkräftors populationsstorlek också av predation. Om man bortser från pesten är det svårt att fastställa orsaken till populationsminskningen i sjöarna då många faktorer är inblandade. Syftet med detta examensarbete är att genomföra en litteraturstudie och att fastställa förekomst av flodkräfta i fyra sjöar i Västernorrlands län. I litteraturdelen behandlas bla.

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to see how illustrators and illustrations are treated in Bibliotekstjänst?s binding booklets compared to how authors and texts are treated, i.e. the picture versus the printed word. My aim is to try and find out if librarians have the aids to acquire information about picture-book illustrators and illustrations in their selective work and reference work. Abstract In order to make the modern agriculture less dependent on non-renewable external inputs, it has to rely more on ecosystem services. The agricultural system produce not only food, fiber and fuel, it also generates other ecosystem services such as e.g. photosynthesis, recycling of nutrients, influencing local microclimate, pollination, biological control and detoxification of noxious chemicals. This study is an attempt to get a better understanding about the interaction among different ecosystem services and different habitats capacity to generate them. An evaluation of eight different methods is done. The ecosystem services studied are the ability to absorb solar energy, biomass production, botanical diversity, decomposition and natural predation of aphids.

Among these fragments there are a couple of terms that stands out amongst others; one of them is the term logos. The main focus of this thesis is devoted to the mystery and usage of the term logos, which comes into a great display in fragment number 50.The ambition of the thesis is to evaluate and compare three interpreters? readings of Heraclitus while having a close focus on his usage of the word logos in fragment 50.

Syftet med detta arbete är att utreda huruvida de selektiva distributionsavtalen medför en begränsning av konkurrensen och om så sker, vilka faktorer det är som skapar begränsningarna. Vidare har en diskussion förts om de villkor som nyttjas verkligen är förenliga med lagstiftningen.
