Får anställda den motivation de behöver? : En studie om motivation på organisationen Sida
Purpose: To examine if the management of the public Sector organization Sida actively work with how to motivate their employees. We also examine which factors of motivation dominate amongst the employees.Method: A case study with a qualitative approach was conducted, using semi structured interviews and a survey to gather data. By connecting motivation theories with collected data, we analysed the results to find similarities, differences and relations between them.Theory: The study is based on motivation theories and other contributing research.Conclusions: The study shows that management actively work with how to motivate their employees. But the employees are not aware of how management work with motivation. The majority of the motivation factors are highly valued, but the dominating factors are personal growth, stimulating work assignments and the ability to know the results of their work..
Humankapitalets roll vid företagsvärdering
This study investigates a method for identifying human capital and its effect on company valuation. We devise a measure for the efficiency of human capital based on the personnel cost. We include all companies listed in the financial and industry Sector on Nasdaq OMX Stockholm in an attempt to examine human capital and its effect on firm valuation. Our results indicate that a higher efficiency of human capital has a positive effect on return on assets. However, we find that our measure can be interpreted in two ways; either as a firm?s level of human capital efficiency or its dependency on human capital, to achieve its net sales and revenue.

The purpose of this thesis is to map out and investigate how the banking Sector affects a customer?s willingness to change bank, and what the switching costs are for a customer when making these changes. A case study was performed through qualitative and quantitative questionnaires and interviews. The qualitative part was carried out to create hypotheses. The hypotheses was tested in a quantitative survey to be able to either accepted or rejected these them.

Background: Following an increased awareness concerning social and environmental aspectsin society, more enterprises establish sustainability reports in order to inform theirstakeholders about the company?s sustainability duties. A previous study indicates that themetal Sector is enjoying relatively limited increases in business opportunities and/or financialvalue of corporate responsibility. Another study suggests that there is a gap in expectationsbetween producers and users of sustainability reports due to an uncertainty regarding whatinformation such reports should contain and what audience such reports should target. Thequestion is whether or not a gap in expectations concerning sustainability reporting is acontributing factor to the limited increases in financial value in the metal Sector?Purpose: The purpose of the study was to examine how a sustainability report should becarried out by a company in the steel industry given what information the company and thestakeholders consider as essential in a sustainability report.Methodology: To accomplish the purpose of the study, a deductive approach was used due tothe availability of suitable theories.
Social kompetens och arbetsliv i förändring- en studie om rekryteringsprocessen i offentlig sektor
Social kompetens är ett relativt modernt uttryck som allt oftare förekommer i
olika sammanhang i arbetslivet. Den offentliga sektorn har genomgått stora
förändringar de senaste 20- 30 åren, och detta har bidragit till att
arbetssökande nu bedöms på ett annat sätt av arbetsgivare. Numera är det mycket
vanligare att en arbetssökande värderas mer efter sina personliga egenskaper än
sina formella kvalifikationer. Studiens syfte är att undersöka samt ge exempel
på hur förändringen inom den offentliga sektorn under de senaste decennierna
har påverkat rekryteringsprocessen samt vilken roll social kompetens spelar i
dagens rekryteringsförfarande inom statliga myndigheter. Undersökningens
ambition är att till viss del öka förståelsen för ett av samhällsforskare redan
identifierat problem, och kanske även synliggöra några av de möjliga ?dolda?
funktioner som begreppet i praktiken skulle kunna fylla.
Omorganisering som medicin - En uppsats om att organisera den svenska sjukvården
The health care is an important part of the welfare services in Sweden. Therefore it is of large interest that it is well performing. A part of this is related to how the health care is organized. This essay examines how the Swedish health care has been organized between 1960 and 1990 and what organizational changes that have been made to the health care. It shows that the Swedish health care has un-dergone many organizational changes the last decades.
En empirisk studie av biståndets effekt på u-länders ekonomiska utveckling 1975-1999
The aim of this paper is to analyze aid, grouped into Sectors, and its effect on growth in developing countries, to find out which type of aid has had the most positive effect on growth. We compiled a regression analysis based on panel data over 81 developing countries from 1975-1999. In our first regression we considered and group countries by institutional quality, in the other we considered and group countries after regional differences. As a measure on institutional quality we used the KKZ-index. The principal aim of this paper was to find out what kind of aid is the most efficient in its influence on growth in LDC?s.
Kunskapsöverföring och kunskapsbevaring i offentliga organisationer
Denna studie syftar till att belysa hur offentliga organisationer arbetar kring kunskapsbevaring och kunskapsöverföring. Vi har undersökt hur fem offentliga organisationer med olika organisationsstrukturer arbetar med att bevara kunskap inom organisationen, samt hur de överför kunskap mellan medarbetare och till nyanställda. Studien har samlat in det empiriska resultatet med semistrukturerade intervjuer. I analysen diskuteras det empiriska resultatet med ämnen som epistemologiska perspektiv inom knowledge management, maktperspektiv, politiska direktiv, arbetsmiljö samt kommunikationens roll. Resultatet av analysen påvisar bland annat att muntlig kommunikation är en viktig framgångsfaktor i en kunskapsprocess..
Skapa värde med integrationer - En studie av hur affärsvärde och konkurrensfördelar skapas från integrationer i industribranschen.
Companies will increasingly begin to link their applications, and the technology that makesthis possible is called integration. The more applications that are connected, the more of the company's data flows through these integrations. It is also clear that data analyses to create business value and to get competitive advantages against its competitors are important. In this paper, we examine how companies create business value and competitive advantages throughthe integration platforms and metadata from the integrations. We have interviewedpeople from three companies in the industrial Sector, each with an integration platform.We have also interviewed Enfo Zystems, a company that provides development andmanagement of integration platforms to these customers.
Framtidens ledarskap inom offentligsektor. : Universalgeni, trollkonstnär eller bara en helt vanlig människa
Syftet med detta arbete är att försöka ta reda på vilka egenskaper som framtidens ledare kommer att behöva inom den kommunala sektorn, men också om det finns eventuella förutsättningar som måste förändras för framtidens ledare. Tio intervjuer genomfördes med personer på ledande positioner inom fyra kommuner i Mellansverige. Utifrån detta sammanställdes intervjumaterialet, och ur detta framkom tre övergripande huvudområden organisation, egenskaper och framtid som sen utmynnade i ett antal ledord. Mot dessa tolkades teorier i ett försök att koppla de till det framtida ledarskapet. Slutsatsen är att det inte finns bara en teori att förhålla sig till, utan det gäller att kunna hantera kontexten och förutsättningarna, och utifrån den kunna anpassa sig.
Betryggande polisarbete? : En studie om implementeringen av lokala poliskontor i Stockholm län
The study consist of an investigation regarding the implementation of reassurance policing in Sweden and include a survey conducted among some of the local police offices in Stockholm County. The aim of the study is to investigate how the police officers working in the local polices offices experience the implementation of the local police offices and if the implementation of local the polices offices matches the police authority´s purpose with the project. The study uses the theoretical framework from political scientist Michael Lipsky calledStreet-level bureaucracy - Dilemmas of the individual in Public services which discuss the role of street-level bureaucrats and their influence in the implementation. Included in the study is also two different perspectives on governing in public Sector called top-down perspective and bottom-up perspective. The findings of this paper shows that the police officers are in general positive towards the implementation and that there´s a duality among the police officers regarding the proximity to the citizens..
Barnkullar och arbetslöshet - Stora barnkullar och möjligheter på arbetsmarknaden
Youth unemployment in Europe is a big problem today. The number of unemployed young people has risen past decades, from 10 % in1980 to over 20 % 2010. The purpose with this thesis is to deal with big cohorts and unemployment rate for young people 20-24 years old in Sweden. I have a look at three different generations, people born:1963-1967 and start working 19871968-1972 and start working 19941988 and start working 2008-2012Did these people from a baby boom face any specific difficulties when entering the labor market 20-24 years later? I have used Easterlin theory in my work and lokked at statistics from SCB (Statsitiska centralbyrån) in Sweden.
Att balansera Management Control Systems - En fallstudie av ett litet svenskt IT-företag
This thesis studies the concept of balance in the management control systems (MCS) of a small Swedish company within the IT-Sector. The aim is to evaluate the importance of balance and dynamics in MCS and investigate which factors affect them. The frameworks used are Simons (1994) four levers of control, and the five-factor model for balance and dynamics by Mundy (2010). The small IT company - the object of the case study - has grown extensively in the last years and needs to develop more formal MCS without losing efficiency and creativity in their fast-moving industry. The case study reveals that balancing MCS is important also in smaller companies with less formal MCS.
Folkbiblioteket och marknaden - En diskursanalys av ideologiska konflikter i diskussionen om marknadsanpassning av folkbibliotek
The recent decades have been characterised by a trend where the public Sector's been inspired by several methods and strategies from the private Sector. The public library is in this case no exception. In this context there are different perspectives on whether or not this will lead to a dramatic change of the role and values of the traditional public library. The aim of this master's thesis is to make a contribution to a deeper understanding of the ideological conflicts within the Swedish public library and its relation to the market. In the literature of library and information science I have identified two separate discourses representing two contradictory systems of meaning concerning this relation.
DCF-modellering vid multipelvärdering: En empirisk studie av hybrida värderingsmodellers prediktionsförmåga
Today, there are a number of different models and methods used to estimate the equity value of a company. A common tool for valuating stock prices is the usage of different multiples. This is a method used to determine the value of a company, by examining and comparing the financial ratios of relevant peer groups. The disadvantage with this method is that it does not take all the important aspects, such as risk, investments and capital structure, into consideration. However, this study investigates if the key value, called discounted cash flow (DCF), can be integrated with the valuation of the multiples.
