Abstract Youths and adolescents have for a long period of time, and at a high degree, beenabsent from the party political stage. The causes for this have been discussed inthis essay through a quantitative survey made in an upper secondary school class,consisting of some 19 subjects in the municipality of Kalmar. Tied together withrelevant literature and discourse on the subject, the essay has dealt with thepossible societal-, system- and individual barriers for political interest andinvolvement. Central questions for this essay has been for instance; age, gender,social background, geographical domicile, as well as the decline of ideology, theforms of current party politics, political interest, political engagement and soforth. The concluding remarks contain not only a mix of these barriers existing,not exclusively, for young and adolescents but different ground for them as well.On the one hand, there exist barriers which exclude youth from the conventionalpolitical life, but on the other, the more individualised youth of today, prefer to agreater extent not to participate under the conventional circumstances that partypolitics has to offer.

This is a master thesis on how to develop the central area of Norra Fäladen, a suburban housing area in the town of Lund, Sweden. The area is discussed on the basis of literature studies, analysis, and place descriptions, which leads on to a proposal. The starting point for the proposal is to create a more lively local centre and to make the area pleasanter for the visitor. A large part of the thesis is devoted to giving a background about local centres and to describe and analyse the area. Fäladstorget has an important role as a central place for supply and services and as a local meeting place for the inhabitants of Norra Fäladen.

This master?s thesis presents experiences from an evaluation of AdApt, a multi- modal, conversational dialogue system, using PARADISE, PARAdigm for Dialogue System Evaluation, a general framework for evaluation. The purpose of this master?s thesis was to assess PARADISE as an evaluation tool for such a system. An experimental study with 26 subjects was performed.

I Sverige finns idag ett stort antal förorenade områden som är i behov av sanering för att förhindra skada på naturen och människors hälsa. Även inom EU har detta problem uppmärksammats och därför har det upprättats ett miljöansvarsdirektiv för att få förorenaren att ansvara för kostnaderna för saneringen av dessa områden. Syftet med uppsatsen var att granska regeringens implementering av miljöansvarsdirektivet i svensk rätt. För att nå resultatet har i första hand granskat regeringens proposition, ett utvidgat miljöansvar, och miljöansvarsdirektivet. Vidare har vi även behandlat lagtext, SOU, praxis och doktrin.

ABSTRACTPurpose/Aim: This essay aims to investigate what picture (obvious and hidden) of men and womens equality in our society that is to be found on DN Debatt.Material/Method: The material consists of 175 articles from DN Debatt during 2004. A content analysis and a rethoric analysis has then been used as a method of analysing the material.Main results: Men are much more represented on DN Debatt then women. The underlying picture of men and women that is presented sees men as being the ones who are in charge of all the important and ?big? decisions and questions in our society. Women on the other hand are pictured as, although they have reached higher positions in society, the ones who to a high degree focus on closer and more socially important issues.

Vår studie handlar om hur läs- och skrivsvårigheter kan förebyggas utifrån ett klassrumsperspektiv, samt vilka möjligheter och hinder som kan uppstå vid organisering av undervisningen. Undersökningen gjorde vi med hjälp av semistrukturerade intervjuer för att få fram så mycket information som möjligt inom området. Utifrån ett klassrumsperspektiv undersöks först och främst elevers läs- och skrivsvårigheter och hur svårigheterna kan förebyggas och minimeras. Studien visar att tidiga insatser är en väsentlig åtgärd för att förhindra att elever i läs- och skrivsvårigheter etablerar felaktiga strategier och misslyckas, istället för att få erfara ?Jag- kan- upplevelser?.

Uppsatsen är en komparativ studie av två barnhem i Halmstad, Östra barnhemmet och Ljungbergska stiftelsen. Frågeställningarna lyder: Hur och varför tillkom Östra barn-hemmet och Ljungbergska stiftelsen?, Hur skilde sig verksamheterna åt mellan ett kom-munalt barnhem och en privat stiftelse i Halmstad?, Hur såg verksamheterna i Halmstad ut i förhållande till andra barnhem och det ideala barnhemmet? Syftet är att bidra med ny kunskap om barnhem genom att göra en lokal studie. Undersökningen är avgränsad till åren 1940 ? 1950.

Med de traditionella metoderna har företagen haft problem med att värdera, bedöma och uppfölja sina IT-investeringar. I första hand på grund av att det har varit svårt att beräkna investeringars lönsamhet och produktivitet. Under de senaste åren har nya metoder utvecklats. De skall hjälpa företagen att lösa sina IT-investeringsproblem. I litteraturen står att offentliga sektorn har samma problem som företagen när det gäller värdering av IT-investeringar.

Detta arbete är delvis en empirisk fortsättning av författarinnans c-uppsats "Företagsledares lärande i arbete". Ambitionen är att praktiskt studera hur ledare, i detta fall fyra kvinnliga rektorer, upplever sitt arbete och sin utveckling.Syftet är att undersöka relationen mellan erfarenheter gjorda i arbetet och rektorernas upplevda utveckling i sin yrkesroll. Stor vikt läggs vid de sociala relationernas påverkan av individen.Uppsatsen är en intervjustudie och utgår från det sociokulturella perspektivet. Detta ger speciella förutsättningar. Objektet som beskrivs blir med rådande förutsättningar inte rektorernas lärande i arbetet utan derasbeskrivna uppfattning av det samma.

Syftet med studien är att undersöka läsarkommentarer i förhållande till nyhetstexten i två svenska nättidningar. Målet med studien är att få djupare förståelse om hur kommentarfunktionen används av läsare.För att studien ska vara möjlig att genomföra används kvalitativ forskningsmetod detta för att kunna få fram mer djupgående kunskap.Det empiriska materialet består i första hand av läsarkommentarer från Dagens Nyheter och Aftonbladet. Men även nyhetsartiklar från dessa tidningar har analyserats.Resultatet visar att kommentarfunktionen inte enbart är en plats i det offentliga där läsare kan konversera, dela med sig av åsikter och tankar. Kommentarfunktionen är också en plats där åsikter kan bildas och formeras. Men frågan om huruvida läsare med hjälp av kommentarfunktionen kan påverka nyheter är svårt att säga.

Syftet med denna uppsats att på företaget Roxtec undersöka vilka kunskaper återvändarnaerhåller och hur hanteringen av återvändarna påverkar överförandet av kunskap. Genom enundersökning av företaget Roxtec vill vi belysa vilka för företaget användbara kunskaperåtervändarna har och hur företaget tar hand om dessa kunskaper. Vi såg att återvändarnalärt sig kunskaper under sin utlandsstationering. Vidare undersöktes om formellahanteringssätt fanns innan, under och efter utlandsstationeringen. Det visade sig attföretaget endast hade enstaka formella hanteringssätt som för kunskaper vidare.

Who would not like a profit of more then 95 % in a day? Investors in Sweden had thatopportunity, if they had bought a certain stock on the primary market and sold it on the firsttradable day at the Stock Exchange. Most of that profit fell into the hands of institutionalinvestors. The reason for this extraordinary profit was the underpricing of that specific stockduring its initial public offering (IPO).Our report aims to analyze the relationship between offer price, underpricing and theownership structure of stocks. Our investigation is based on all IPO?s on the Stockholm stockexchange during the years between 2000 and 2005.
