Prisons are for many an unknown world, and few know about the prison culture which includes unwritten rules, power structures, interactions and relationships between inmates and correctional employees.While many think that Swedish prisons are too comfortable,inmates are facing extreme stress due to surveillance and detention, by depriving inmates their possibility to shape their own lives. When the inmates is deprived of control over their own life?s the penal system have great power to shape and to influence the inmates.The purpose of this paper is to investigate prisoners' experiences of treatment and exercise of power in prisons. Starting point is to examine what are the kinds of relationships between prison officers and inmates from a power perspective, if there is any difference between the closed and open prisons and how the inmates affected by the structures that exist.Based on my overall purpose, and with my informant´s stories which revealed a number of similar points, four main headings were developed; Mass media and society´s view, and unknown world, interaction between inmates and prison officers and consequences.Prison officers with the role as a contact persons as well and other staff which work close to the inmates play a significant role by supporting through motivational interviewing and can help the inmates to gain insight about their life situation and actions. My informant?s underlined that a good contact person can either help or discourage.Inmates who contributed with their experiences express that there is a big difference between open-and closed prisons.

Syftet är att genom en litteraturgranskning av vetenskapligt publicerade forskningsartiklarundersöka vad peer-tutoring som en form av kooperativt lärande kan innebära för möjlighetentill social interaktion och lärande när elever med funktionsnedsättning inkluderas i enidrottsundervisningssituation. Många elever med funktionsnedsättning är inte inkluderade iidrottsundervisningen som de skulle önska, detta begränsar deras påverkansmöjlighet till godhälsa genom fysisk aktivitet. Kooperativt lärande och peer-tutoring har visat sig gemöjligheter till ökad social interaktion och lärande. Sökmetod: Tio vetenskapligt publiceradeartiklar granskades och tre återkommande områden kunde skönjas. Dessa var socialinteraktion, lärande hos eleverna och lärarens roll i undervisningssituationen.

Bakgrund: Palliativ hemsjukvård är en växande vårdform i Sverige som ställer höga krav på involveringen av anhöriga. De anhöriga inom palliativ hemsjukvård befinner sig i en utsatt och omvälvande situation där vårdbördan kan upplevas mycket stor. Stödet från vården har en stor del i hur de anhöriga upplever situationen och ifall den sjuke kan erhålla vård i sitt hem. För att vården ska kunna stödja de anhöriga på ett lämpligt sätt krävs insyn i hur de anhöriga upplever sin situation.Syfte: Att beskriva anhörigas upplevelse av att ha en svårt sjuk närstående som vårdas med palliativ hemsjukvård.Metod: En litteraturstudie baserad på åtta kvalitativa studier publicerade mellan år 2002-2010. Använda databaser är CINAHL, PubMed, Academic Search Premier samt Nursing & Allied Health Source.

Bakgrund: Ischemiska hjärtsjukdomar leder till att hjärtmuskulaturen drabbas av försämrat blodflöde och därmed syrebrist. Sjukdomar representerade i denna grupp är exempelvis kärlkramp, hjärtsvikt och hjärtinfarkt. Ungefär en procent av Sveriges befolkning, cirka 90 000 individer drabbas årligen av någon form av ischemisk hjärtsjukdom. Den vanligaste orsaken är fetthaltiga ämnen ansamlats i hjärtats kranskärl så kallad åderförkalkning. I vissa fall kan skadan som orsakats av ischemiska hjärtsjukdomar behöva åtgärdas genom operation.

This study was performed in order to investigate the difficulty in diagnosing retrobulbar disease with ultrasound. A retrospective study was accomplished to investigate the use of ultrasound in patients with suspected retrobulbar problems, and how often the examination is diagnostic. The computer based patient files, at the University of Agricultural Science in Uppsala, were Searched for dogs with suspected retrobulbar disease. During 1999-01-01-2004-04-14, 14 patients fulfilling the Search criteria were found. The patient records were studied, and the written reports from the ultrasound examinations were compared with the printed pictures from the examinations.

Bakgrund: Oavsett om döendet äger rum i hemmet, på sjukhus eller hospice så har sjuksköterskan ett stort ansvar. Således krävs det att hon eller han har ingående kunskap om vad det kan innebära att vara svårt sjuk och vårdberoende för att kunna leverera en optimal vård. Den som bäst kan hjälpa oss som sjuksköterskor att förstå upplevelser av att vara döende; är patienten. Syfte: Belysa vad patienter i palliativ vård upplever som viktiga aspekter för sin omvårdnad. Metod: Litteraturstudie av åtta stycken kvalitativa vetenskapliga artiklar.

Syftet med denna systematiska litteraturstudie var att beskriva faktorer som påverkade uppkomsten av hot och våld inom psykiatrin. Till resultatet har författarna använt sig av tjugoen vetenskapliga artiklar som hämtats ur Högskolan dalarnas databaser ELIN, Academic Search Elite samt Cinahl. Sökord i olika kombinationer har använts för att få fram relevant litteratur till studien. De sökord som användes var violence, nursing, mental health nurses, aggressive patients, aggressive behaviour, psychiatric units, patients, factors, prevention, aggression, nurses, psychiatric, management, psychiatry och causes. Även manuell sökning i tidskrifter har gjorts.

Röntgensjuksköterskan hade omvårdnadsansvaret för patientens tillstånd så länge denne befann sig på röntgenavdelningen och skulle förbereda patienten inför undersökningen med den information och det stöd som krävdes. Även moment såsom planering av undersökning, patientomvårdnad, undersökningen i sig, bedömning av undersökningens kvalitet, bildgranskning, underhåll av apparatur samt verksamhetsuppföljning ingick i röntgensjuksköterskans arbete. Syftet med denna systematiska litteraturöversikt var att beskriva röntgensjuksköterskors erfarenheter av att ge omvårdnad till patienter som genomgår röntgenundersökning med intravenöst kontrastmedel. Artiklarna till studien hittades i databaserna PubMed, Academic Search Elite och Cinahl. Studien baserades på 27 vetenskapliga artiklar som kvalitetsgranskat utifrån ett granskningsprotokoll, där de skulle ha kvalitetsnivå medel eller hög.

Background: Basic hygiene is an important measure to prevent healthcare associated infections, save patients? lives, and reduce economic costs for health care. Healthcare associated infections are a threat to patient safety. In community care persons who are the care takers are a risk group and nurses must make sure that basic hygiene procedures are followed.Method: Literature studies with descriptive design, article Search in databases Cinahl and PubMed. The results found are based on twelve chosen articles.Aim: To describe factors related to adherence to basic hygiene and how nurses in community care can help to improve compliance with these procedures.Results: In the nursing staff and leadership in health care interest in and the understanding of basic hygiene is described as being of most importance.

Bakgrund: Trots all forskning och kunskap om vikten av fysisk aktivitet ökar livsstilrelaterade sjukdomar. WHO (Världshälsoorganisationen) har klassificerat fysisk inaktivitet som en av fyra ohälsosamma levnadsvanor som vid minimering kan förebygga sjukdom och för tidig död. Fysisk aktivitet på recept (FaR) inkluderar hälsofrämjande hälso- och sjukvård och ökad fysisk aktivitet som är två av Sveriges elva folkhälsomål. Syftet med litteraturstudien var att undersöka hur fysisk aktivitet på recept påverkar den fysiska aktivitetsnivån. Introduction: All women can be subjected to intimate personal violence by theirpartner, but the older woman's vulnerability to violence is not highlighted in reSearch.Consequences of violence can be severe and it is essential from a public healthperspective to explore the issue even for the older woman. Objective: The objective ofthe study was to generate a deeper understanding of the problems of older woman'svulnerability to violence by their spouse / partner. The reSearch questions focused onwhat characterized their situation and how a gender perspective can illuminate theproblem. Method: A structured Search for scientific studies was carried out in thedatabases: Pubmed, Cinahl, PsykArticles and Scopus in the area of interest. A qualityassessment of the articles was preformed and 12 qualitative studies were included in thestudy.
