The United Nations has, during many years, developed a model for a globally harmonized system for classification and labeling of chemicals, with the aim of it becoming a global standard. This system is implemented in the European Union through the CLP-regulation and is now working parallel to the existing directives until 1st of June 2015, when all the new classifications of substances and mixtures must be completed. The aim of this project was to adjust the laboratory to the new legislation, through inventory of stored chemicals, update the list of chemicals and perform self-classifications of mixtures. The work included handling of about 650 different chemicals with varying hazard classifications and search for information in corporate websites and chemical databases. This resulted in a new and complete list of chemicals stored and used in the laboratory and, in addition, an example of how to make a self classification of a mixture.

Stratego is a boardgame not very different from chess, that contains hidden information. Because of this, existing programs play at beginner level. The purpose of this thesis is to adjust a minimax algorithm so that it passes the demands of Stratego, and then build a Stratego agent around it. Tests with existing minimax algorithms leads to the development p-e-minimax. This algorithm uses two different values in its nodes to simulate the different information available to the agent and its opponent.

AimThe specific questions in the theoretic part were:What is contained in the terms "balance and balance skill" and how can this skill be measured?The specific questions in the empirical part were:How does balance skill in different age categories of children correlate with biological and physiological parameters such as age, gender, body height, weight and level of physical activity?MethodsLiterature search based on books and scientific papers related to the questions posed above. Selection was made at libraries and on?line through "Pubmed". Specific search words were used.

The aim of this master thesis is to study the students usage and experiences of the reference services at the university library at Linköping University. The four questions that I seek answers to are: - What kind of help do the students most often ask for at the reference desk? - To what extent do the students use the reference services for their studies? - What are the students experiences of the help they receive at the reference desk? - What are the students experiences of the treatment they receive from the librarians at the reference desk? I have studied literature that describes reference work and evaluation of reference work. I have also studied Christian Grönroos theory of service quality. I have distributed questionnaires to students at Linköping University.

The aim of this study was to describe nurses? knowledge of pain. The method used was a systematic literature study. Information was gathered from the databases Blackwell Synergy, Academic Search Elite and Medline, and the keywords used in the search were: pain, knowledge, nurses and nurses.The result was divided into three subgroups; Insignificant documentation and evaluation. More education is necessary.

Denna 5 poängs rapport behandlar realisering och inställning av mjukvarubaserade PID-regulatorer. Den tänkte läsaren är en ingenjör som är intresserad av hur en PIDregulator implementeras och trimmas med AMIGO (Approximate M-constrained integral gain optimization) metoden. Alla matematiska resonemang förklaras stegvis och utförligt. Huvudsyftet med rapporten är att inhämta kunskap från referenserna, och formulera denna kunskap så att den blir lättillgänglig för ingenjörer som praktiskt arbetar med PID-regulatorer. Målet med denna rapport är att svara på frågorna: ? Hur fungerar en PID-regulator? ? Hur kan en PID-regulator implementeras? ? Hur trimmas en PID-regulator med AMIGO-metoden?.

Fyrtio deltagare fick som uppgift att genom ett visuellt avsökningsexperiment, så kallat visual search, avgöra om alla bilder i 3 x 3 matriser kom från samma kategori av djur eller om det fanns med någon bild från en avvikande kategori. Studiens syfte var att studera huruvida deltagarnas reaktionstider inför målbilder av ormar skilde sig från målbilder av stora rovdjur: björnar och vargar. Dessutom undersöktes om bilder i gråskala resulterade i snabbare, långsammare eller lika snabba responser som bilder i färg. Kortare reaktionstider observerades för målbilder av ormar än för björnar och vargar. Ormar skattades dessutom som mer obehagliga.

Search terms that were used were: children, young adults, adolescents, cognition, and breakfastSelection criteria: Ages 12-20 years, measures cognition, RCT, studies comparing breakfast eating with omitting breakfast, human studies, language English or Swedish, no sick adolescents or adolescents with diagnosis.Data collection and analysis: Two original articles met the inclusion criteria and were reviewed by the SBU audit template for RCT studies.

The aim of the thesis is to investigate to what extent the pedagogy process has been affected by the close collaboration between librarians and teachers when it comes to education on the information search process. The thesis shows that the librarian is seen as an acting intermediate for information, and is regarded as a part of the learning process. The issues covered comprise of how students, teachers and librarians perceive that the students becomes information literate, how they perceive that the subject fields are covered, and how information has been transmitted, and how all this has been affected by the fact that the librarian is actually less available in person. Also, the following questions are discussed; how do librarians, teachers and students interact through the homepages of the course and "the landscape of studying"? And in what respect have the old library halls changed into that, which is available 24 hours a day, with different kinds of meeting opportunities where the search of information has been integrated with group projects? The foundation of this study is built on an evaluation of a project comprising of virtual study environment at the University of Linköping.

In 2009 The National Land Survey of Sweden, Lantmäteriet, commenced a project intended to provide a new digital elevation model (DEM) of Sweden. The method chosen for the project was airborne laser scanning (ALS). In addition to information about the land surface the project will also provide information about the forest, this as a by-product. This data can be used to estimate forest variables such as height and volume. The estimates are often more reliable than what is standard today. This study is based on interviews with employees and members of the forest owner association Södra in southern Sweden.

Sökfunktionen är oftast en central del på en webbsida idag och fyller en viktig roll för om en webbsida skall bli framgångsrik eller inte. Om informationen inte går att hitta på ett enkelt sätt kan webbsidan tappa sina användare ganska snabbt. Även presentationen av sökresultaten kan vara en vital del där logik, design och layout är viktiga aspekter som inte får förbises. Det finns således en hel del faktorer att ta hänsyn till som webbutvecklare.Rapporten går igenom några utvalda best-practice metoder från områden som layout, sökfält, sökresultat och paginering med syftet att identifiera viktiga och användbara metoder.

Previous research has focused limited attention on how personality affects job search for university educated people in work and no studies have focused on the difference between active and passive job seekers. This survey-based study that examined university educated economists and engineers with 5-25 years of experience, showed that career ambition mediated active job search for the personality dimensions of openness, agreeableness and extraversion and also gave clear evidence that active job seekers have lower levels of job satisfaction, and higher levels of career ambition, agreeableness and extraversion, compared with passive job seekers. These findings provide a more nuanced picture of the impact of different recruitment strategies and provide a starting point for in-depth studies on passive job seekers.
