Background: Depression is a very common disease and is caused both by the biological, physical, and psychosocial factors. At least 25 percent of women and 15 percent of all men are affected at some point in their lives. As a nurse, it is important to be aware of women's experience of depression to meet their needs for care.Aim: To illuminate women's experience of depression in order to better understand their needs for care.Method: Literature review in which ten scientific studies were analyzed and thematised. Eight qualitative studies and two studies of qualitative and quantitative method was retrieved from the database CINAHL Complete and PsycINFO. Keywords depression, women?s experience, experience of depression, female, nursing, major depression, women och social interaction were used.

In this pilot study, we have investigated what the two biggest newspapers Aftonbladet and Dagens Nyheter, and the two largest union affiliated journals Lärartidningen/Lärarnastidning and Skolvärlden has written about teachers in their professional roles, and investigated if and whether their reporting has changed over time. In the study, we have also examined what the newspapers and the union affiliated journals emphasize as status enhancing and status lowering factors for the Swedish teaching staff. We have furthermore analyzed our material through Leif Mathiassons theoretical framework in the anthology Uppdrag Lärare ?En antologi om status, yrkesskicklighet och framtidsdrömmar, in which he describes the creation of the image of the school as a medial and political construction. To reinforce Mathiassons theoretical framework we have also presented and used the agenda theory, the gestalt theory and the priming theory in our concluding discussion.

The focus of this essay is set on a number of processes that affect the challenges of the tourist trade, to be more precise ? an analysis of the attitudes towards tourism and sustainability within this line of business ? from an ethical and moral as well as social view. Ett problem som kan uppstå är att kommunikationen missförstås av mottagarna och det därigenom blir en kostsam och misslyckad marknadssatsning. För att motverka problemet har vi undersökt vilka kulturella skillnader som finns mellan väst- och östvärlden och hur de påverkar uppfattningen av visuell kommunikation i form av logotyper. Arbetet syftade även till att öka förståelsen för vilka likheter och skillnader som påverkar hur visuella element så som färg, typsnitt, form och symbol uppfattas samt hur de kan betraktas som globala.Syftet med examensarbetet var att undersöka hur visuell kommunikation, i form av logotyper, uppfattas i väst- och östvärlden. I syftet ingick även att ta reda på vilka kulturella skillnader som påverkar vad vi uppfattar samt att undersöka hur de visuella elementen kan användas för att få logotyper att uppfattas som globala i både Sverige och Kina.

The purpose of this thesis was to examine the relationship between brands and music in TV-commercials. We investigated why companies use music in TV-commercials to affect their brands and how music affects the brand?s image. We also investigated how companies choose music genres for their TV- commercials. A case study based on interviews was conducted with four informants from SAAB, Lowe Brindfors, Riviera and Catt & Co.

By analyzing how corporations describe their work with Corporate Social Responsibility, CSR, my aim is to review how they view and relate to this role. Ekokardiografi är en mycket användbar teknik som bland annat kan bedöma vänsterkammarensfunktion hos hjärtat med hjälp av ejektionsfraktion (EF) och global longitudinell strain (GLS). EF är idag den metoden som används mest vid bedömning av vänsterkammarfunktionen och beräknas enligt Simpsons biplanmetod. GLS är en ny metod som mäter myokardiets deformation och har i tidigare studier visat sig vara en känslig metod och kan upptäcka förändringar i myokardiet tidigare än EF. Vid behandling av bröstcancer kan hjärtat påverkas toxiskt och därmed genomgår denna patientgrupp regelbundna kontroller med ekokardiografi. Syftet med denna studie är att jämföra två ekokardiografiska metoder hos 20 stycken kvinnliga bröstcancerpatienter. Jämförelser har gjorts mellan EF beräknat med Simpsons biplanmetod (EFbi) och GLS samt mellan EFbi och EF beräknat från GLS (EFGLS).

Due to the attention of several escapes, rescue attempts and hostage situations from Swedish prisons during the year of 2004 a debate about correctional system and safety arose. It resulted in official reports and proposals to improve the safety of the institutions. The incidents of 2004 will most likely have an effect on the discourse of the correctional system. The purpose with this study is to analyse which discourses that today can be distinguished in the correctional system and thereby will be the foundation of the correctional systemof tomorrow. The method used to answer the purpose of the study is a Foucauldian based discourse analysis.
