This master?s thesis report is a summary of the analysis performed together with ITAB Shop Concept located in Jönköping, Sweden. As a last element of the Master?s program at the School of Engineering, this 20 point level D thesis project has been the final work to bring my education to an end.ITAB Shop Concept expressed an aspiration that the Shop Counter Program B10/B11 should undergo an analysis to point out and possibly lead to improvement.Through interviews and data collection proposals for possible improvements has been drawn up and the analysis points out current deficiencies. By following the idea generation, proposals to solutions for every individual problem is presented.

The following essay aims to determine what textbooks and teaching media educators in the county of Västerbotten use when teaching the relation between religion and science. Based on educational science theory and through analyzes of factual texts, the teaching materials was examined to determine how much focus they put on the thematic of religion and science. The result shows how the different teaching materials affect this thematic differently. The main conclusion is therefore that students in Sweden could, depending on the teaching materials used in their education, be taught by different standards to reach the same requirements..

The purpose of my study is to determine students? attitudes to the Natural Science subject. I want to contribute to scientific discourse about different learning styles that can respond to childrens? requirements in teaching as well as to determine the student?s experience of learning styles. The studies were carried out at an upper secondary school in Stockholm (spring term 2011) for three different classes.

Syfte med detta arbete är att skapa förståelse för gymnasieskolans utbildningsinnehåll på Hotell och Restaurangprogrammet respektive Livsmedelsprogrammet i relation till arbetslivets utveckling och utbildningsbehov. Genom en kartläggning av berörda branschers uppfattning om elevernas utbildningsbehov vill vi undersöka om det finns behov av att utveckla nytt specialutformat program med inriktning mot ?Butik och Cateringkock?. Metod Vi har genomfört en kvalitativ studie, där vi gjort intervjuer med berörda branscher. Där söker vi svar på frågan om utbildningsinnehållet på gymnasieskolans ?Hotell och Restaurang program? och ?Livsmedelsprogram? motsvarar arbetslivets utveckling och framtida krav på utbildningsbehov. Resultat Resultatet inleds med en övergripande introduktion som handlar om förändrade mattrender och livsstilar i dagens samhälle.

The purpose of this study is to investigate and describe the variation in perceptions of demands and expectations of study performance among a group of students at an upper secondary school. The study is inspired by a phenomenographic approach in which variations in perceptions of a phenomenon are of importance. Twelve students at a Science program participated and were interviewed in groups of four. The results show that among the students there are several different perceptions of the demands and expectations to perform they felt present in their lives. The most important result is that it is the students' own demands and expectations on their performance and study results that are seen as the most demanding..

Allt fler riksomfattande rapporter gör gällande att svenska skolelevers hälsa har försämrats de senaste åren både avseende psykiskt och fysiskt mående. Enligt en del forskare beror detta på en allt mer inaktiv livsstil med utökad tid för stillasittande arbete samt neddragen tid för skolgymnastik. Syftet med denna epidemiologiska tvärsnittsstudie var att få kunskap om gymnasieelevers mående på praktiska och teoretiska program och för att definiera en eventuell skillnad i arbetsmiljö samt självskattad psykisk och fysisk hälsa mellan de olika programmen. Sammanlagt 87 elever från 4 olika klasser undersöktes med svarsfrekvensen 69% (60 elever). Totalt gick 40 elever på praktiskt program (bygg- och fordonstekniskt program) och 47 elever gick på teoretiskt program (samhälls- och naturvetenskapligt program).

This thesis work resulted in a template for how the thermal spray process can be controlled through robot programs. The robots today and their programs need to be replaced, therefore a new structure which can be matched with the new robot systems is needed. The work is limited to only concern structured programming on the new robots on Thermal Spray Centre (TC) with the programming language Rapid. The basic data for the program was retrieved from interviews with concerned personnel at TC, from studies on process parameters for thermal spray and from existing specifications at Volvo Aero Corporation (VAC). The thesis work briefly describes the process thermal spray and the four methods used at VAC.

This report describes the development of a system for controlling documents. The report starts with a problem description which the company wants an intranet-based solution for. The report then continues to describe the development phase for the different parts of the system which results in a complete system. The company that wanted this system is called Orbit One and is located in Ronneby, Sweden. They have had a problem with old documents circulating in different versions and in different binders. Now thanks to their new system they can access their documents easy and on demand through their intranet..

The purpose of this study is to examine the view of knowledge and the view of learner which are prominent in the ministry memorandum Specific programs and access to vocational programs (U2009/5552/G) and thereby understand the potential impact of the new transformation of the current individual program and what it brings to the students who do not achieve the objectives in grade 9. We have used a qualitative text analysis method. The background to the study describes in particular today's individual program, view of knowledge and view of learner. The result shows that the most prominent in the memorandum is that knowledge is divided into theory and practice, that individualization is the focus and the text shows freedom for interpretation..

Dagens arbetsmarknad har ständigt höjt sina krav, vilket medfört att det har blivit högre krav på utbildning, särskilt till utsatta barn. Min empiriska undersökning handlar om faktorer som påverkar ungdomar att gå på gymnasieskolans individuella program. Undersökningens syfte har varit att ta reda på vilka faktorer som påverkar ungdomar att gå på individuella program och hur medvetna elever är om orsaker som har påverkat deras val att börja på IV-Tema. Mina frågeställningar är: vilka orsaker ligger bakom att elever går på individuella programmet? Vilka är elevernas individuella skäl till att gå på individuella programmet? Min undersökning är byggd på kvalitativ data och jag har gjort nio semistrukturerade intervjuer med en studie- och yrkesvägledare, en kurator och en lärarassistent samt med 6 elever på individuella programmet.

Jag har alltid haft ett intresse för att förstå olika aspekter inom religion och andlighet. Under senare år har jag även utvecklat ett intresse för att förstå så kallade ockulta fenomen. Denna uppsats tar sin utgångspunkt i TV4?s program Det Okända, 2009. Valet av programmet Det Okända blev ett naturligt val för mig då jag tidigare följt programmet under några säsonger i syfte att ta del av det utbud av ockultism som finns i massmedia, för att bredda min kunskap inom ämnet ur det perspektiv som ges i media.

Denna uppsats har undersökt lärares individualiseringssträvanden i förhållande till yrkesförberedande respektive studieförberedande program på två olika gymnasieskolor. Undersökningen består av intervjuer med åtta Samhällskunskapslärare. Med hjälp av individualiseringstypologier, definierade av Monika Vinterek, kan vi utröna hur lärare individanpassar sin undervisning. Vidare har vi ställt oss frågorna om lärarna har olika individualiseringssträvanden samt om detta påverkar nivån på undervisningen i Samhällskunskap A. Resultatet visar att lärarna använder sig av olika individualiseringssträvanden samt att det görs en viss skillnad i individanpassningen beroende på vilket program som är föremål för undervisning.

Detta kandidatarbete är utarbetat på Blekinge Tekniska Högskola under våren 2002. I utredningen har vi jämfört röstigenkänningsprogram under en treårsperiod, program från 1999 och program från 2002. 1999 års test visade på programvaror med lång träningstid, enkla gränssnitt, stor känslighet för bakgrundsljud och låg användbarhet. Vid arbetsstart förväntade vi oss inte att hitta någon större förändring i användbarheten hos dessa program 2002, då röstigenkänningsprogram inte verkar ha stor användarskara. Utifrån följande hypotes har vi genomfört arbetet: Vi vill med vår undersökning bevisa att användbarheten inom röstigenkänningsteknologi inte har förbättrats under perioden 1999-2002.

The following essay or thesis is a study over scientific endeavors in the fringe. It is a study of Riksorganisationen UFO-Sverige, whose proponents aim to make the UFO phenomenon (or phenomena) a subject of scientific scrutiny. To achieve this, the ufologists first have to redefine common concepts of ufology as pseudo science or religion, mainly by challenging definitions given by scientific sceptics on the one hand, and proponents of conspiracy theories or the new age environment on the other. Thus UFO-Sverige seeks to construct an alternative scientific identity in contrast to adversaries on both sides, each unwilling to give the UFO phenomenon any further examination. Following the work of Tomas Gieryn's sociological grip on questions of epistemology, especially concerning the social boundaries of science from other cultural categories through what has been labelled as epistemic boundary work, during which proponents of a particular field aim to achieve epistemic authority and thus the legitimate right to define what is and what is not science, I seek to analyze how questions of science and legitimacy are actualized in an intellectual environment or culture not broadly accepted as scientific.

This study examines a primary school teacher?s ambitions within science education and how those ambitions manifest in the classroom. This is being examined by interview with the mentioned teacher and by observations as a participant within four of the teacher?s science classes. The results of this study is categorized and analyzed with assistance of scientific literacy, vision I and vision II, fundamental scientific literacy and Roberts? curriculum emphases.
