The multicultural society of today where individuals have varied cultures and languages is different to the homogeneous society of the past, and sets new demands upon the school. The school library can play an important role when it comes to the integration and the acceptance of students with a different mother tongue. Provision and access to literature in the student?s mother tongue is seen as a strong indicator of a school that promotes a multicultural environment, and it?s also linked to the student?s feelings of identity and self-confidence. Their knowledge in their mothers tongue is crucial to the acquisition of a second language, and learning in extension.The purpose of this bachelor is to examine how school librarians work with multilingual students in junior high school, and what they consider to be their roles in this context.Confirming previous research, mediation of information and promotion of reading was a central task to the school librarians we interviewed.

The purpose of the research is to find out how the teacher of the pre-school looks at the value of the nature Pre-school. To get an understanding of what the nature pre-school enviorment can bring, we are talking about learning, knowledge, and experience combined with the everyday lessons learned from the natural world. The research is a stepping stone on the pre-school teacher?s thoughts and reflections of what a nature pre-school is. This is grounded in a view of how having options for alternative schools lead to wider research, and all conclusions where formed after multiple interviews and analysis.The results showed that the teachers involved are very positive to the nature pre-school environment and learning process.

In 2014 came new guidelines for after-school centers. These guidelines clarifies that it is the principal who is pedagogically responsible for the after-school centers. Due to that fact we became interested in investigating how principals describe their educational leadership for after-school centers. With qualitative interviews as a method we have investigated how four principals describe their educational leadership for the after-school center based on the new guidelines and how they talk about their employees and the after-school centers. Our results are based on the empirical material we received from these interviews. By analyzing this empirical material, based on the theory of situational leadership, we received answers to our research questions. .

Trots att stress tidigt i livet kan leda till ohälsa i vuxenlivet finns det förhållandevis få studier av psykobiologiska aspekter av stress bland ungdomar i Sverige. Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka sambandet mellan självrapporterad stress (n=412) och salivkortisol (n=278) hos friska skolungdomar i årskurs 8 och 9 i två Stockholmsskolor. Vidare undersöktes könsskillnader och skillnader mellan årskurser i självrapporterad stress respektive salivkortisol. Data samlades in via ett självskattningsformulär som mäter generell stress samt genom salivprover tagna vid fem tillfällen under en dag. Resultaten visade på ett signifikant samband mellan självrapporterad stress och salivkortisol (r=0,29) vid en tidpunkt.

Inom universitet och högskolemiljö är stress ett vanligt förekommande fenomen. Ungdomar som börjar studera får frihet att kontrollera sin vardag och sin livsstil, vilket kan resultera i ohälsosamma levnadsvanor. Tidigare forskning har visat positiva effekter av fysisk aktivitet vad beträffar minskad upplevd stress, vilket föranledde vårt val av ämne till uppsatsen.Syftet med studien var att undersöka studenters upplevda stress i relation till fysisk aktivitet.Metoden som användes var kvantitativ. Urvalet omfattade 186 studenter, 80 män och 106 kvinnor som valdes genom ett bekvämlighetsurval. Dessa personer fick svara på frågor om upplevd stress samt om träningsvanor.

This thesis, entitled The Headmaster and the Music, is based on interviews with four headmasters, who are all working in the Swedish compulsory school. The purpose is to investigate how they view music, both in general and as a school subject. Since the research on this topic is scarce, the study can be described as explorative.The result shows that the headmasters? personal experiences have an impact on the way they view music. Four different focus points on music in school have emerged from the material, and these represent the four very different views that each headmaster holds.

The aim of my ?two years master thesis? was to examine school administrators perceptions about important information literacy skills that the students should be able to control, perceptions about what role the teachers and the librarians have in teaching students information literacy and perceptions about the collaboration between these groups. My questions have been: Have the school administrators reflected upon the conception of information literacy? What conceptions do school administrators have about important information literacy skills that the students should be able to control? What role do they consider the teachers and the librarians to have in making all students information literate? How do they consider the collaboration between the teachers and the librarians work? What role do they consider themselves to have on a management level to make all students? information literate? I used a phenomenographical method and carried out six qualitative interviews with school administrators from five senior high schools in the municipality of Gävle. Both public schools and independent schools were included in the study. Most of the school administrators considered information literacy to be the same as criticism of sources, which they also considered as one of the most important information literacy skills.

The aim of this study is to understand and describe school staff´s view on the legal obligation to report child maltreatment. With this approach I will get a better understanding how child maltreatment can be caught up in the Swedish community. Previous research shows that school is one of the authorities who report most children to social services. Previous research indicates that cooperation between school and social services reduces the time of the investigations, and gives a better understanding of what is to be reported. The result shows that a functional cooperation between school staff´s as well as between school and social services is important for children to be caught up in the community.

A qualitative study of high school student teachers' ideas about libraries and school libraries.Interviews have been conducted with future teachers about the library's role in their education,their views on library functions in high school and whether they as teachers will use theschool library. The results show that the students have had some instruction concerninghow to use the library as students, but very little as regards their future teaching. The professorsof teacher education focus on the fact that the library should be used in high schoolteaching, not how to use it. Despite this, the student teachers look very positively upon libraries.Libraries play an important part in their education and they are all sure that they asteachers will use the school library, which includes interacting with the librarian. To them, themost important school library function is to allow pupils to seek information..

Bakgrund: Undersökning visar att en person med funktionsnedsättning som har en stillasittande fritid löper dubbelt så stor risk för fetma än en person utan funktionsnedsättning. Det är vanligt att personer med funktionsnedsättning är fysiskt inaktiva och en orsak kan vara de hinder som finns i vårt samhälle som omöjliggör delaktighet i fysisk aktivitet. Syfte: Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att undersöka vilka faktorer som har betydelse för fysisk aktivitet hos personer med funktionsnedsättning i åldern 13-25 år. Metod: Litteraturstudie. Tio vetenskapliga artiklar analyserades och sammanställdes utifrån de faktorer som visades påverka vid deltagande i fysisk aktivitet.

During the later part of the 20th century the amount of children and adolescents in Sweden who reported psychosomatic illness have greatly increased. The main reason is estimated to relate to weak resources in school and school healthcare. Increased resources do not always have to encompass investments for school and school healthcare. Other resources play an important part as well. A child?s domestic situation serves as one of those resources where fundamental knowledge and values are set.

Syftet med föreliggande studie var att undersöka eventuella samband mellan upplevd stress på arbetsplatsen och socialt stöd i privatlivet bland yrkesaktiva sjuksköterskor. Även eventuella samband mellan stress, energi, ålder och socialt stöd på arbetet undersöktes.Datainsamling skedde genom enkätundersökning bland de anställda sjuksköterskorna på två olika avdelningar på ett sjukhus. Enkäten utformades i sin helhet av olika delar från redan existerande frågeformulär och innehöll tre olika delar; stress/energi, socialt stöd på arbetsplatsen och socialt stöd i privatlivet. Totalt bearbetades 48 enkäter.Inget samband mellan socialt stöd i privatlivet och stress kunde påvisas. En positiv korrelation mellan energi och socialt stöd privat, samt en negativ korrelation mellan ålder och stress kunde påvisas.

Stress är ett ökande tillståndvilket bidrar till fler sjukskrivningar inom sjuksköterskeyrket. För att göra organisationer mer medvetna om sjuksköterskors aktuella situation är det av vikt att belysa deras upplevelser av stress på arbetet. Syftet var att beskriva faktorer vilkabidrar till att sjuksköterskor upplever arbetsrelaterad stress. Studien är utförd som en litteraturstudie. Fem rubriker framkomi resultatet vilka var: Stressfaktorer vilka påverkar det patientnära arbetet och patientsäkerheten, stressfaktorer vilka påverkar sjuksköterskors profession och privatliv, stressfaktorer i den kollegiala miljön, fysisk och psykisk påverkan av arbetsrelaterad stress och organisatoriska orsaker till stressfaktorer.

Bakgrund: Sjuksköterskor skattar sig att bli stressade av tidsbrist och resursbrist. Moralisk stress uppstår ur dilemman. Dilemmat uppstår när det finns begränsningar i organisationen, konflikter med bedömningar som andra har gjort hindrar en att göra det som egentligen anses riktigt och tankar uppkommer om vad som ska göras istället. Syfte: Att undersöka distriktssköterskans erfarenhet av stress i sitt arbete på vårdcentral med fokus på moralisk stress. Metod: En kvalitativ studie med semistrukturerade intervjuer har genomförts med åtta distriktssköterskor och analyserades med manifest kvalitativ innehållsanalys. Resultat: Distriktssköterskorna erfor stress i många olika situationer och det som var mest framträdande var tidsbrist samt situationer i telefonrådgivningen. Det fanns ett större vårdbehov än vad det fanns läkartider och då kunde inte distriktssköterskorna ge den vård som de önskade. Regler och rutiner kunde upplevas som hindrande i mötet med patienten vilket gav uttryck som frustation och tankar om vad som var rätt att göra. Slutsats: Distriktssköterskorna upplever stress, oro och frustration vid stor vårdtyngd, lite personal, brist på läkartider och när kommunikationen mellan kollegor och patienter brister.

Introduktion: Den psykiska ohälsan med stressrelaterade problem bland svenska skolungdomar har stadigt ökat de senaste åren. Flickorna är överrepresenterade. Skolan ses som den primära orsaken till stress där betygssystem, läxor och skolmiljö bidrar. Forskning där ungdomar själva berättar sin upplevelse av stress är bristfällig och behöver uppmärksammas.Syfte: Syftet är att undersöka skolungdomars upplevelser av stress.Metod: Sex 15-åriga skolungdomar, intervjuades och texten transkriberades för att därefter analyseras enligt kvalitativ innehållsanalys.Resultat: Dataanalysen resulterade i fem kategorier. Den första kategorin var?Att känna symtom på stress? där ungdomarna beskriver hur stress känns i kroppen.
