This essay examines the using of consensus method for decision making within the World Council of Churches (WCC) and the process that led to the decision to adopt its usage. The main question of my essay is why the method was introduced to the WCC and what motives lay behind its introduction. Other questions are how the consensus method works; both in theory and in practice, and what the predecessors and prototypes for the method are.The consensus method belongs to a broad Christian tradition of spiritual discernment and spiritual decision making. The New Testament, in particular Acts, gives examples of decision making in the early church which show that discerning God's will was considered essential. However the most influential model for the consensus method have been the decision making process of the Religious Society of Friends or Quakers, and also the consensus model of the Uniting Church in Australia.

I worked withmodels, moodboards and sculptures to explore the form.

The report is a building evaluation of an area south of Karlskoga`s urban area on the west side of the lake Möckeln, known as the western Möckelnstranden. The evaluation is carried out on the behalf of Karlskoga municipality.  The goal of the evaluation that is based on a mission statement is to create a basis for Karlskoga municipality for a detailed plan and exploitation of the area. The inventory contains suggestions on what should and should not be done with the environment and its buildings..

I detta arbete har jag undersökt om det finns några skillnader på gitarrövning inom olika genrer. Jag har försökt hitta en bild av inställningen till övning och tagit reda på om, och i så fall varför det uppstått skillnader mellan klassisk och afroamerikansk tradition. För att få svar på mina frågor har jag intervjuat sex gitarrlärare, tre inom varje genre, som undervisar på olika nivåer. Svaren har varierat en del men jag har fått fram en generaliserad bild med en del skillnader, men också med stora likheter. Attitydskillnader hos de olika genrerna finns inte enligt mina informanter, utan har istället uppstått mycket på grund av media.

This diploma work handles how some parishes of the Swedish Church administrate their building properties.The report also includes how some external property managers in Sweden work with maintenance plans and other maintenance issues. Further, a number of deficiencies have been identified and suggestions to workarounds are treated. The conclusions drawn in this thesis are based on the author´s experience in the field, performed interviews, and literature studies. The result of the work shows a general lack of knowledge in many parishes what concerns regulatory requirements, properties with no maintenance plan and substandard supervision resulting in unnecessary and expensive repairs. Based on these results, different plans for the maintenance of the building properties of the Swedish Church has been proposed..

This candidate.?s work includes designing of a house with it.?s structural components andinstallations. The house had to be actual with Building Regulations (Boverkets Byggregler).Beside designing of all the crucial systems necessary for completing of claimed regulations evenan optional topic within building engineering had to be chosen.The task included designing of heating, ventilation, sanitation and electricity systems. Structuralengineering models has been made in compliance with Eurocodes. Materials for facades, floorsand roof were chosen and evaluated.As recessed portion of the work, evaluating of possibilities in designing of a glass roof waschosen.

The functional connection between the building and the streetscape affects the city and its attractiveness. Stores located in shopping malls with their entrances facing internal walkways, creates segregation between the mall and the streetscape. This segregation implies that the shopping mall loses some of its attractiveness, which may result in a so-called Greyfield mall. The expression Greyfield mall is used for shopping malls that have lost its visitors. Competition from new modern malls and a lack of investments are examples of factors that influence the development of Greyfiled malls.

The construction and use of buildings in the EU accounts for half of the EU?s extracted materials and energy consumptions, and a third of greenhouse gas emissions. In the past decade, the construction sector has responded to such concerns by focusing on post production energy efficiency. However, new findings indicate that upstream construction processes influence emissions significantly ? necessitating a shift in focus to include material choices and building processes.

Användningen av NTFP harbelysts ur ett kulturellt perspektiv och undersökts som tradition, det vill säga kunskap somtraderas mellan generationer. This Bachelor?s thesis consists of two parts; one with prefabrication (prefab) in focus and thesecond part includes detail design of a house project. These parts are linked together by designingsome parts of the house project as prefabricated.The focus section investigates how prefabrication can act time-, costs- and environmentallyeffective to a building project. This is investigated by combining literary sources with sourcesbased on reality in the shape of interviews. An ever-increasing population, urbanization and visions towards sustainable cities clarifies the need of densification. When densifying existing urban areas adding storeys could serve as a residential densification, which would also meet the market demand for centrally located apartments. An increased understanding of the potential of vertical densification gives way to the aim of this thesis to increase the amount of centrally located housing.This thesis provides knowledge of adding storeys and how property owners can identify opportunities in their existing building stock.The first question, What kind of residential densification takes place in Sweden today? highlights ways of residential densification; development of brownfields, infill and adding storeys, where adding storeys is what this thesis then focuses on. The result came through a literature review that also clarified important factors when adding storeys.

This thesis treats Building Information Modeling, BIM, in the production stage. Brieflydescribed BIM is virtual model of a building object where all information about theobject is gathered. All the involved operators in the construction project have access tothe model and can gather or share information about the project. There are several waysto apply BIM in the production stage. We also wanted to study if strong brands could develop in to strategic competition means and by that expand their market range. To do this we used a qualitative method. We started by gathering a theoretical basis. This gave us a platform, which helped us learn more about the subject, brands.
