The project of developing a new Sauna lightning series was assigned two students at the developmentengineering program at Halmstad University. The main problem with lightning in the Sauna is the heat and security aspect. The selection fell on LED technology as the lightning source, thanks to its small measures and low heat emission. The work of constructing of a lightning armature which the capability of cooling down the LED lightning was carried out during autumn ?06 and spring ?07.

Nordic Marine Sauna AB has, since 2005, designed, manufactured and sold floating Saunas. Theproduct are characterised by a well thought thru and appealing design and its high quality. Thecompany is now intending to open a new business area by starting a subsidiary, NordicSubmarine Sauna AB, which will design submerged Saunas. The expected customers are leisureand conference centres as well as customers that seek an experience out of the ordinary.Due to the products technical complexity a master thesis was adverted. The task was to do aninvestigation whether such a product is technically viable.The job involved research of existing products and constructions material as well as designingthe product with CAD and FEM-programs.

Syftet med arbetet är att beskriva och analysera hur finländarna upplever bastubadandets påverkan på livskvaliteten. Frågeställning är hur upplever finländaren att det starkt kulturbundna och vardagliga bastubadandet påverkar deras hälsa med tonvikt på livskvalitet? Finlands befolkning är ca. 5,1 miljoner invånare och det finns över 2 miljoner bastun (Statistikcentralen 2004). Finländaren badar bastu i medeltal 1-2 gånger i veckan.

This thesis is an addition to pictures and animation that has been developed using CATIA V5. The animation and the images are a market basis to test whether the product is of interest in the Nordic market. The thesis is structured with elements of the Fredy Olsson method. In this thesis there is also a short presentation of the company Tylö AB, which been chosen to market test the product.
