In the beginning of the 1860s, an important railway was built between Malmö and Stockholm. The railway became one of the most important projects that would influence the entire southern Sweden. The railway line was located to areas outside the ordinary routes and a number of communities were built up along its way.Älmhult was one of the communities that was built up due to the railway. In the beginning there were only a few farms and a station, but a community developed and the village grew. In 1901 the village became a small market town, which was an important event.

The study seeks to from professionals perspectives describe and analyze the beliefs they have about women with intellectual disabilities and their pregnancy and motherhood. We will also discuss and reflect on the possible support that professionals find important for women to handle pregnancy and motherhood. The information has been gathered through interviews with five different professions that have come in contact with the audience in their work. In our material we found three distinctive perspectives: a child´s perspective, a parent´s perspective and a community perspective. From these perspectives, we could find many similarities in the informants´ perceptions, which resulted in different themes.

Syftet med det här examensarbetet var att utveckla kunskap om samverkan mellan skola och hem i samband med åtgärdsprogram. Uppsatsen består av tre delstudier. Inledningsvis undersöktes förutsättningar för samverkan genom intervjuer med fem rektorer i en kommun om deras syn på föräldrasamverkan. Därefter genomfördes en dokumentanalys av 114 åtgärdsprogram med syfte att undersöka var i åtgärdsprogrammen föräldrarna syns och på vilket sätt. Avslutningsvis intervjuades fyra föräldrar om deras upplevelser av mötet med skolan i samband med åtgärdsprogram.

I en tid där allt fler människor bosätter sig i städer har syftet med denna studie varit att undersöka människors gränsdragningar i det urbana och framför allt vilka gränsteknologier som omgärdar det egna bostadsområdet. För att besvara studiens frågeställningar har Charles Tillys (2004) teori om beständig ojämlikhet och Richard Sennetts (2008) teori om sökandet efter gemenskap i den moderna staden varit givande utgångspunkter. Det fall som studerats är Täby kommun norr om Stockholm och i ett vidare syfte har gränsdragningar i kommunen med hjälp av Blakely & Snyders (1997) teori om Gated Communities jämförts med inhägnade bostadsområdens fysiska murar. Genomförandet har utgjorts av kvalitativa samtalsintervjuer i kombination med en observation på plats vilket lett fram till resultatet att det finns både enande och åtskiljande faktorer som omgärdar Täby. Fysiska gränser har visat sig vara det geografiska avståndet och upplåtelseformer och socialt har viljan av att bo nära familjen visat sig vara en stark faktor till att sociala flyttmönster både skapas och upprätthålls.

Detta är en rapport där arbetsprocessen för utformandet av en tredelad arbetsmodell beskrivs, vars syfte är att möjliggöra en utvecklad samverkan mellan förskola och hemmet. Barnperspektiv och samverkan ska ligga som grund för de tre delarna som är: temaarbete, IKT ? hemsida och dialogcafé. De tre delarna bildar tillsammans en helhet. Vi ville skapa arbetsmodellen, då samverkan mellan förskola och hemmet enligt förskolans styrdokument, är en del av förskollärares uppdrag.

Utifrån läroplanen strävar förskolan efter ett väl fungerade samarbete med föräldrarna genom att visa respekt och ha bra relationer till barnens familjer. Syftet med examensarbetet är att lyfta fram betydelsen av "föräldrarummet" som är en verksamhet på Sätragårdens förskola, för att underlätta integrationen av invandrarföräldrar och att samverka med dem. Metoden är att intervjua två föräldrar, en personal och föräldrarums ansvariga på Sätragårdens förskola samt att observera hur arbetar föräldrarummet. Med hjälp av mjukvara Complador skapades ett strateginät som visade föräldrarummets aktiviteter och strategier. Resultat visar att föräldrarummet har en stor betydelse för att invandrarföräldrar blir integrerade och delaktiga i förskolans arbete..

Bakgrund Vi lever längre, men utsätts samtidigt för en allt större risk att drabbas av psykisk ohälsa och sjukdom, vilket bland annat beror på att depressioner är åldersrelaterade, orsakade av olika kroppsliga sjukdomar eller förluster av nätverk. Bland äldre över 70 år har 30 % en lättare eller svårare psykisk sjukdom och/eller ohälsa. Detta är en stor utmaning för framtidens vård och äldreomsorg. Syfte och frågeställningar Syftet är att visa exempel på hur man över verksamhets- och professionsgränser kan arbeta och bemöta äldre som lider av psykisk ohälsa och sjukdom. Jag vill även ta reda på vilken roll socialarbetaren kan ha i ett äldrepsykiatriskt team.

The purpose of this Bachelor thesis is to investigate which rolesthe mobile library has to its users in a small community in Sweden.To reach this purpose I have focused on the following two researchquestions:? Which are the different functions, social, cultural, educational orinformation-based, that the mobile library offers its users andwhich of these are used in reality?? What purposes are there for the mobile library and how it is usedby it?s visitors?To answer these questions I have interviewed four users of amobile library and I have held e-mail interviews with librarians incharge of a mobile library as well as the head of the department ofculture and peoples health in the community. As a base for myanalyse I have also used a pilot study which I performed earlier inthe spring of 2011.My theoretical framework is based on the model of the publiclibrary?s different roles made by Marianne Andersson and DorteSkot-Hansen.The result of this study show?s that a mobile library isn?t verydifferent from a permanently located public library. This study investigates how the host community of Tenerife perceives the socio-cultural effects of tourism on the island. The method chosen for the study was qualitative interviews which were performed with six respondents, each born in Spain, living permanently in Tenerife and employed within service-related occupations. The interview material was interpreted and handled according to a hermeneutic approach. The results of the study showed that the respondents had an over-all positive perception of tourism. Perceived positive socio-cultural effects were related to cultural and linguistic influences.

Med utgångspunkt ifrån en specifik händelse och ett axplock av negativa samverkansaspekter hämtat ur Socialstyrelsens rapporter, är syftet med studien att lyfta fram hur anställda genom sin egen erfarenhet inom kommunal äldreomsorg/hemsjukvård i en kommun, anser att samverkan skulle kunna fungera på ett mer positivt sätt mellan kommun och landsting. Enligt tidigare forskning har man bland annat kommit fram till att det finns en otydlighet i ansvarsfördelningen mellan kommun och landsting när det gäller hemsjukvård, vilket i sin tur blivit konflikt- och revirskapande för huvudmännen. Trots detta måste organisationer inom offentlig sektor idag samverka på grund av utvecklingen i samhället, när det gäller vård och omsorg. Utifrån en kvalitativ studie och halvstrukturerade intervjuer har tankar/idéer väckts hos anställda på lokal nivå i en kommun kring samverkan. Studiens mest framträdande drag är att den enskilde individen har betydelse för hur organisationernas olika organ verkar och agerar.

In January 2004 two members of the Pentecostal community Knutby Filadelfia in Uppsalamunicipality, Sweden, were shot by their fellow member Sara Svensson. With a qualitative hermeneutic case study as the principal method this essay takes on the task of not only investigating if and how Stockholm Syndrome can be used as a model for interpreting and understanding the violent incident in Knutby Filadelfia, but also to see if the unique characteristic of the Knutby incident can tell us something about Stockholm Syndrome as a model for understanding violence in religious movements. The material shows Stockholm Syndrome as having been present in Knutby because of among other things, a mileu, leadership and theology that supported the normalization of abuse and the enabling and maintaining of self punishment in the community. While Stockholm Syndrome still is a controversial theory this study shows that it can be used as a powerful tool in the understanding of violence in religious contexts..

This paper analyzes the content of eight Islamic Friday-sermons, held at Chalmers Technical University in Gothenburg in spring 2010, organized by Chalmers Islamiska Förening (CIF) (Chalmers Islamic community).The forces of globalization, the accessibility of information and the Internet have given rise to discourses and movements that know no national boundaries. The accessibility of these global movements and discourses through media, Internet, etc., affect the way Muslims in Sweden interpret and practice their religion. Thus, this paper includes discussions and descriptions of global Islamic revivalist-movements, and relates the contents of the sermons at Chalmers to these movements. In the sermons, the imams often discuss the concept of a global Muslim community, the umma, and their perceptions of the prescribed ethics linked to this community. They often relate this discussion of ethics to frequently discussed issues in the West such as equality, justice and ethical standards in war.

Lung cancer is a disease which patients experience stigma in society and in care. This is because lung cancer is often seen as a self-inflicted disease. The stigma surrounding lung cancer is due to the strong relationship with smoking and have been shown to have a negative impact on the perceived health. The purpose of this study was to illuminate experiences of stigma for patients with lung cancer. The literature review was based on 11 scientific articles.
