In today?s society more and more activities are digitalized. This means that everyone has to be able to use information and communication tools (ICT) in order to take part in the digital world, otherwise they will be left out of the digital community. There is a so called digital gap between for instance elderly and young people, where elderly do not know how to use the tools and there for cannot gain access to the digital society. What happens when people, not only grow old, but also have a communication disorder, such as aphasia? How are they included? The purpose of this study is to investigate whether or not SURF pads are good tools for bridging the digital gap for people with aphasia, and which activities and situations that encourages people with aphasia to work with the SURF pad.

The usage of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) for several applications has in-creased during the past years. One of the possible applications are aerial imagecapturing for detection and surveillance purposes. In order to make the captur-ing process more efficient, multiple, cameraequipped UAV:s could fly in a for-mation and as a result cover a larger area. To be able to receive several imagesequences and stitch those together, resulting in a panoramavideo, a softwareapplication has been developed and tested for this purpose.All functionality are developed in the language C++ by using the software li-brary OpenCV. Våra valda teorier kommer ligga till grund för denna uppsats och sedan prövas på Varberg. Metod: Vi valde i denna studie att utgå utifrån en deduktiv ansats med en kvalitativ forskningsmetod. Då vårt syfte var att ta reda på hur en destination marknadsförs och sedan pröva våra teorier på Varberg, kändes en deduktiv ansats mest relevant. Den deduktiva ansatsen har varit genomgående i uppsatsen och under insamlingen av vårt empiriska material utgick vi från vår teoretiska referensram. Slutsatser: I vår studie valde vi fem teoretiska kategorier som vi har utgått från.

For example these are used to read and write e-mails, SURF the web and playing games. Another manner of use of these tablets is to read and edit PDF documents. PDF handling is often meant to be used in books and inregular text documents, but it could also be used in the management of drawings.An industry that would benefit greatly from the use of tablets for this purpose is the con- struction industry.

Barn och ungdomar lägger idag mindre tid på fysisk aktivitet och mer tid på olika stillasittande aktiviteter. Genom en enkätundersökning riktad till barn i 10-13 - årsåldern har syftet varit att ta reda på hur mycket tid de lägger på olika fysiska aktiviteter, i skolan och på fritiden, samt hur mycket tid barnen lägger på olika skärmbundna aktiviteter såsom dator, tv och SURF- och läsplatta. Vår hypotes är att det finns ett samband mellan hög frekvens av användandet av olika skärmbundna aktiviteter och låg grad av fysisk aktivitet. Något sådant samband har inte hittats. Undersökningen visar dock att många barn tillbringar mer än rekommenderad tid framför en skärm trots att stor del av de svarande regelbundet deltar i idrott eller annan fysisk aktivitet..

This study focuses on comparing the traditional technologies of mouse and keyboard with the new technology of gestures - in this case Leap Motion - in purpose of finding how the usage differs and what the potential users want from the competing technology. The experiment was executed in a controlled environment, with as few external factors as possible. We found that although the test subjects found Leap Motion fun, the test subjects do not want to SURF the web with gestures.

Bakgrund: Digitala verktyg blir alltmer förekommande i pedagogisk verksamhet. SURFplattan är ett av dessa verktyg som på senare tid gjort debut i förskolan. Allt fler pedagoger ser SURFplattan som ett användbart redskap i den pedagogiska verksamheten, ett verktyg som kan bidra till nya möjligheter i förskolans skapande och lärande aktiviteter. Syfte: Studiens syfte är att utveckla kunskap och få ökad förståelse för vad som sker när SURF-plattan blir tillgänglig för små barn (1-3 år) i deras förskolemiljö. Studien syftar även till att fördjupa kunskapen om verktygets betydelse för en ökad delaktighet för barn i särskilda be-hov.

The aim of this study is to highlight the computer as a learning resource in the education and give us knowledge about how the students uses the computer in year one in a selected High School where one computer per student were introduced in autumn 2011. The aim is also to contribute to the discussion about how the computer can become a natural learning resource for all students in all subjects, including the students in need of special support.How are the High School students using the computer?Are there differences in computer use, whether the student is in academic or vocational program?Are there differences in computer use between boys and girls?Do the student experience that the digital competence is increasing together with if they experience the computer as aid?In what degree do the teachers encourage the students to use the computer?How much do the students use the computer to learn mathematic?The study is based on a survey of all students in year one in a municipal High School.The result of the study is showing that the students first of all use the computer to play music, SURF the Internet and to be logged in on social media (eg. Facebook). The students have learned to use the computer for the tasks they need, although the teachers don?t encourage the students to use the computer in any higher means, not in mathematics and not in other subjects.

The essay is a discourse analysis of the media's attitudes toward computing. The aim is to compare what the media is really saying about the usage of tablets, computers and compare it to what the research is saying. In addition, it examines what the media says about socialization. We analyze the newspapers Dagens Nyheter and Expressen and will first compare these two together and see what attitudes that emerge, and then seek similarities and differences with the previous research and theories including socialization learning, attitudes and consumption. Conclusions we can draw is that Expressen has a more negative attitude towards the use of computers while the Dagens Nyheter has a more positive attitude, but is also more objective to what they write about.

The aim with this study is to examine how students and teachers value source criticism. Partly, this regards how teachers practice this in their teaching and how students work with it during lessons ? but also how students value source criticism in situations where the teacher not has pointed out that this topic is part of the actual assignment. Moreover, there is a focus on investigating how students who are critical of the sources take this into account in their daily lives; for example, when they SURF on the Internet or when they discuss news articles or other media. This essay is based on interviews with students and teachers, using a qualitative method. The results of this study show that both students and teachers find source criticism to be of major importance.

Med responsiv webbdesign skapas en design som sedan dynamiskt anpassar sig till olika enheters skärmbredder, utan att specifika designer måste skapas för att få en anpassad layout till varje specifik enhet. Syftet med denna studie är att i sex amerikanska filmer som tar upp kriget i Vietnam undersöka hur den västerländska och den orientaliska kulturen skildras i relation till varandra utifrån ett postkolonialt perspektiv. Både framställningen av såväl amerikanerna, fienden och sydvietnameserna har studerats ur detta perspektiv. Detta undersöks genom att koppla till teorier och begrepp såsom semiotik och ideologi och metoder såsom diskurs och diskursanalys, mise-en-scéne och filmanalys. Studien undersöker om det skett någon förändring av det postkoloniala perspektivet i filmernas framställning. Undersökningen inkluderar: Gröna Baskrarna, The Deer Hunter, Apocalypse Now Redux, Plutonen, Full Metal Jacket och We Were Soldiers.

Bakgrund: Torö Stenstrand tillhör naturreservatet Ören som är beläget på en udde på ön Torö i den sydligaste delen av Stockholms län. I slutet av 1970-talet kom vågSURFingsporten till Sverige och Torö Stenstrand. Det var några lokala entusiaster som upptäckte platsen och såg att vågorna lämpade sig för SURFing. Sedan dess har officiella SURF-SM genomförts av Swedish SURFing Association i stort sett varje höst sedan början av 90-talet. Det finns dock en konflikt kring frågan om stranden bör vara helt tillgänglig för allmänheten eller om de privata tomterna, som finns längsmed vissa delar av Stenstranden, ska ha äganderätt av marken ner till vattnet.
