In this paper we have examined why seniors do not use e-business to the same extent as other age groups. Seniors belong to the age group that, according to statistics from Statistics Sweden (SCB) in 2011, utilizes e-business the least in relation to the number who use the internet. To understand how seniors reason and perceive the possibility to shop on the internet, we have conducted four interviews with people from 65 years and older. We have let the respondents answer questions regarding utility aspects, e-business interfaces, general shopping habits, risks, and whether or not they usually shop online. We also found out how seniors reason when they sell products and services.

We are in an emerging digital society where we are increasingly dependent on the mastery of IT and digital technologies to better carry out our everyday tasks. They cover everything from keeping in touch with family and friends to pay bills and declare. At the same time there are those who have not learned how to use the new technology and live their lives outside of the digital society. What happens to these people, in a society that is becoming increasingly digitized? Do they take harm by being in digital exclusion? It looks like this are issues that will not become less important as digital technology constantly changes.

Syfte: Syftet med denna studie var att jämföra antibiotikabehandling med corneal collagen crosslinking (CXL)-behandling genom fotoaktivering av riboflavin vid bakteriell keratit. Att experimentellt undersöka om en viss STAM av Pseudomonas aeruginosa kunde infektera cornealt epitel var också en del av studien.Metod: Litteraturstudie samt ett experiment med Pseudomonas aeruginosa och grisögon in vitro.Resultat: Dagens behandling av keratit är initial med antibiotika. I experimentella studier har CXL använts både i kombination med antibiotika och som enskild behandling. Positiva resultat från studier med CXL som behandling mot keratit har rapporterats.Resultatet av det experimentella försöket pekar på att den STAM av Pseudomonas aeruginosa som användes i experimentet inte kan penetrera ett intakt epitel.Slutsats: CXL kan bli en viktig och användbar behandlingsform vid keratit, särskilt med tanke på den ökade antibiotikaresistensutvecklingen. Ytterligare forskning på området krävs dock innan metoden kan bli fullt vedertagen.För att kunna fastställa om STAMmen av Pseudomonas aeruginosa i det aktuella experimentet har virulensfaktorer för att ta sig in i ett oskadat epitel eller inte krävs fler försök..

Vargen har varit hatad i alla tider, en symbol för något ont. Den jagar gärna i flock och tar renar och river får. I den här artikelserien undersöks orsaken bakom licensjakten på varg 2010, det vill säga bristen på acceptans, och om det är ett argument för att skjuta 10 procent av vargSTAMmen som idag anses vara akut hotad. Artikelserien ger också svar på varför en vargpopulation som är så inavlad som vår inte kommer klara sig långsiktigt, och vad som krävs för att få en hållbar STAM..

Syftet med denna uppsats har varit att utreda de rättsliga förutsättningarna för utsättning av fisk i svenskt sötvatten. Frågor som hur tillståndsregleringen ser ut har angripits med en rättsdogmatisk metod. Fokus har varit på fiskelagen, fiskeförordningen samt Fiskeriverkets föreskrifter (FIFS 2011:13). Natura 2000 områden har inte tagits i beaktande i denna uppsats. Utsättning av fisk har en lång historia i Sverige, redan på vikingatiden flyttades fisk från ett vattenområde till ett annat.

The purpose of this paper is to examine what opinions parents have of the after school-centre, if they know that it has an objective and what that objective is. This will be examined by surveying parents with children in after school-centre. The questions posed in the study are as follows: Do parents know the objective of after school-centre? What is the general view of after school-centre among parents? The results show that 41 percent know that there is an objective while 39 percent don't. Only 6 percent can describe what the objective is.

En stor omställning håller på att ske med nyttjandet av energiresurser. Biobränslen användsallt mer och utveckling pågår för att göra mer biomassa från skogen tillgänglig.Biomassauttag från röjningar diskuteras och då är det viktigt att kunna beräkna utfallet avenergi.Biomassafunktioner har tagits fram av Ulvcrona et al (2009) för att kunna beräkna torrviktenför unga granar som stått i täta bestånd. Funktionerna är dock baserade på provträd från norraSverige. Syftet med detta arbete var att verifiera funktionerna med provträd från södraSverige. Provträden togs på Sveriges Lantbruksuniversitets försöksparker i Asa och påTönnersjöheden.

Introduktion: Synen är det viktigaste mediet genom vilket människan uppfattar omgivningen. Degenerativa processer som försämrar synen kan förbindas till ärftligt betingade eller degenerativa processer och mutationsfaktorer eller multifaktoriella degenerativa näthinnesjukdomar: retinitis pigmentosa, glaukom och åldersrelaterad makula degeneration. Forskarna har försökt förhindra utveckling av näthinnedegenerationen genom användning av STAM- eller progenitorceller. Under differentiering och självförnyande processer utsöndrar dessa celler olika endogena tillväxtfaktorer: substanser som är aktiva vid cellens mognads- och reparationsprocesser. Att rädda och skydda celler från apoptos eller återskapa nya fotoreceptorer eller nervceller är forskarnas mål.

De vanligaste orsakerna till kattsnuva är infektion med felint herpesvirus typ 1 (FHV-1) eller felint calicivirus (FCV). Båda virusen är vanligt förekommande även i den friska populationen och prevalensen är generellt högre i större djurgrupper. Efter infektion med FHV-1 lägger sig viruset ofta latent och kan återaktiveras av olika stressfaktorer. FCV kan utsöndras i flera år efter infektion och detta utan att katterna visar kliniska symtom. Smittspridning för FHV-1 sker främst via direktkontakt med akut sjuka djur eller intermittent utsöndrande djur. FCV smittar direkt från sjuka djur eller friska smittbärare men kan också smitta via ytor.

Syftet med detta arbete var att redogöra för hur EHV-1 orsakar abort hos dräktiga ston samt patogenes och egenskaper hos viruset som leder fram till abort. Ekvint herpesvirus typ 1(EHV-1) är ett ?-herpesvirus som finns över hela världen och kan orsaka tre olika typer av sjukdomar hos häst: Respiratorisk sjukdom, neurologisk sjukdom och abort. EHV-1 överförs främst genom inandning av aerosoler från infekterad häst och orsakar först luftvägssjukdom och viremi. Viruset bildar sedan latens, främst i lymfknutor nära de övre luftvägarna samt i trigeminala ganglier.
