The purpose of this master thesis is to examine the opinion about school libraries among principals at the independent schools in the municipality of Lund. In order to fulfil my purpose I used a qualitative method with an introductory questionnaire, which gave background material to the interviews. All seven principals answered the questionnaire and five of them agreed to participate in an interview. Another two interviews were made with two informants, this material was included in the background material. As theoretical framework I have used literature about the school library development, the role of the principal for development and David V.

Studien genomfördes som en laboration i biologi i tre åttondeklasser med totalt 42 elever. Elevernas skriftliga svar på frågor i anslutning till laborationen utvärderades med en utvecklad SOLO-taxonomi. Under laborationen observerades sex elever och anteckningar av deras samtal utvärderades också i den utvecklade SOLO-taxonomin. Efter laborationen intervjuades 17 elever. Resultatet av analysen av elevernas skriftliga svar visar att flickorna har tilldelats högre nivåer på sina svar och att de använt fler ord i svaren.

The veterinary handling of wildlife, both in zoos and in the wild, commonly requires that the patients need to be captured and immobilized for examination or treatment. This emphasises the need for quick, on-site, laboratory equipment, in order to minimize the analysis time and thus the stress for the animal and also in order to increase the possibility of starting relevant treatment early on. The aim of this pilot study was to determine whether Serum Amyloid A (SAA) could be a measured in blood samples from bottlenose dolphins (Tursiops truncatus), Asian elephants (Elephas maximus) and South American tapirs (Tapirus terrestris). SAA rises to its maximum about 24 hours after the introduction of an inflammatory agent in companion animals. This also correlates with the estimated time it takes for animals at Kolmården Wildlife Park to be examined and having blood samples collected after being observed as sick. The study also evaluated whether the Eurolyser SOLO, using a turbidometric immunoassay (TIA) developed for human diagnostics, could be used for such analysis. This pilot study was a retrospective analysis of SAA in convenience sampled frozen serum, collected from dolphins, elephants and tapirs.

Avsikten med denna studie har varit att kartlägga hur tre svenska tidskrifter riktade till unga kvinnor använder bloggen, dels på hemsidan och dels i den tryckta upplagan. Studien har även syftat till att urskilja om det finns ett samarbete mellan dessa medier och hur detta i så fall tar sig uttryck. Vidare har jag med denna studie velat klargöra vilka skillnader och likheter det finns gällande detta användande de tre tidskrifterna emellan och även tydliggöra hur de redaktionellt skrivna bloggarna används.Denna uppsats har således varit avgränsad till tre av de största tidskrifterna riktade till unga kvinnor i Sverige; ELLE, SOLO och VeckoRevyn. Samtliga tre använder bloggar på hemsidan, har en liknande målgrupp och ligger i ungefär samma prisklass.Studiens referensram tar ett avstamp i Public Relations där det tittas närmare på Co-Creational Perspective och Excellence Theory. Eftersom bloggen är en produkt på Internet, ligger fokus sedan på Public Relations på Internet, även kallat e-PR och Online Public Relations.

I detta examensarbete beskriver jag FMT-metoden och visar på dess möjlighet att bidra till en ökad livskvalité. Jag beskriver mitt arbete med två barn med hjärnskada och deras utveckling med FMT som stöd. Frågan jag ställde mig var om FMT stämmer med Svenska Kyrkans uppdrag. Min slutsats är att FMT har en plats i Svenska Kyrkans verksamhet och stämmer helt med Svenska Kyrkans uppdrag/Diakoni..

En faktor som kan påverka dem att konsumera är omslagets utseende. För tidningsmakare gäller det att utforma ett attraktivt omslag vad gäller bild, färg och textpuffar. Omslagets utseendet är av stor betydelse för lösnummerförsäljningen, vilken i sin tur utgör en stor del av tidningsupplagan.Syftet med undersökningen är att undersöka utseendet på fyra modemagasins omslag.

The purpose of this work is to explore the artistic processes of an ensemble where a musician and one or more dancers play together, either by improvising or by interpreting music that is written for the ensemble. The main themes are about finding ways to work with written material and still keep the communication between the music and the dance alive. The author is also interested in finding ways of identifying himself in the medium of dance although he is a musician. Ekologi är en central del inom biologin och studier visar att elever har svårt för att resonera kring ekologi. Med hjälp av brickintervjuer har några gymnasieelevers förmåga att använda artkunskap vid tolkning av ett ekosystem studerats. Brickintervjuer är en form av kvalitativ intervjumetod, där eleverna får resonera kring föremål från ett ekosystem. Dessa intervjuer utfördes före och efter en kurs om det rinnande vattnets ekologi. Jag fann i min studie att fyra av fem elever förbättrade sina artkunskaper under kursen och dessa fyra elever kunde dessutom uttrycka en ökad förståelse för ekosystemet.

In this study I research and reflect on my way to embellish music from the baroque. I focus on Georg Phillipe Telemanns music. I work with embellishments in the second movement (Larghetto) from Solo X, Essercizii musici (Hamburg (1740)) for recorder and basso continuo (TWV 41:C5). I try diffrent versions to embellish this movement. I record these versions and enclose a score with all diffrent versions.

Syftet med studien var att genom ett kvalitetsarbete få en förståelse för gymnasieelevers upplevelser av sitt eget lärande i en konstnärlig, skapande process. Kvalitetsarbetet genomfördes på dansinriktningen vid ett estetiskt program i Norrbotten där jag under min verksamhetsförlagda utbildning lät eleverna arbeta individuellt med att skapa en koreografi, ett solo, som de senare redovisade. Soloredovisningarna filmades och inspelningen användes som minnesstimulerare vid de kvalitativa intervjuerna enligt metoden Stimuladed recall. Resultatet visar att eleverna upplever ett lärande då de arbetar i en individuell, konstnärlig skapandeprocess. Eleverna uttrycker sin kunskap och sina förmågor med sin kropp, dock är det tydligt att eleverna med varierat resultat kan förmedla detta verbalt..

The purpose of this Bachelor?s thesis was to explore how principals and school administrators work to develop their school libraries. To narrow our area of study we chose to only include gymnasiums run by the municipality and conducted four semi-structured interviews with two principals and two heads of upper secondary school. We formulated two questions: (1) what perceptions of the school library and its functions can be found among our four respondents? And, (2) how do they work with developing the school library? As a theoretical framework we used Loertscher?s taxonomy of the school leader.

The Swedish public inquiries and most of the political science advocate reforms in the spirit of participatory democracy to strengthen the democracy. Although it is striking how limited and narrow the scientific documentation is in analysing the effects of participatory democratic reforms. Still, many of the local governments in Sweden are reshaping their organisations according to the participatory democracy model. Is it a trend and a symbolic action or a veritable action of good-will of the politicians?The paper argues that the idea of participatory democracy has become popular and widely spread.

Contemporary plant design can be examined by how it relates to two extremes - Nature and Art. This idea is explained by Noel Kingsbury in the book The Dynamic Landscape where he places designers and their projects on a gradient (Kingsbury, 2004). Nature, one of the extremes can be represented by a dynamic, species-rich plant design with native species and with nature as the ideal. The other extreme - Art implies a more static view on plant design. Here, the designs consist of colourful flowers, exotic species and cultivars with double flowers.
