Sefarderna hos osmanerna : en historiografisk undersökning av sefardernas situation i osmanska riket ifrån 1492, deras innovativa och kulturella bidrag till riket

Survey´s purpose is to illustrate why and how the process happened, when the seferades had to move from Spain in the last years of 15th century to the Ottoman Empire and how the authors have discussed this. How the seferades were treated by the Turks and the sultan, how teh Jews taught the people in the empire, to use the new innovations. The different results showed that the ottomans also gave great chances to the Jews and they became a powerful group of the palace in the empire.The results also showed that the authors are divided into two groups, one group defending the sultans act, and the others are not. The main reason for the ottomans to open their doors for the seferades was to take advantage of their konwledge. The reason for the attack by the western authors on the sultan´s decisions, are more complex and needs to be explained.

The reason behind this essay has been to study if previous research is relevant for Jehovah?s Witnesses in Sweden and see if secularization has affected the organization or not. The empirical material is made from two qualitative group- interviews and open observations during two meetings in the Kingdom Hall. In this paper I have tried to find out the reason the medieval town of Vä was created. I have studied several different areas in witch all, in one way or another, have had an effect on the making of Vä. This areas includes topography, iron production, mill handling, religious effects, royal affliction and also if the name Vä could tell something about Väs history as a religious cult. I have also looked at two other places not far from Vä, the medieval harbour town Åhus and the big village of Fjälkinge. By comparing these three places I tried to find out what Vä had that the other places did not, which made Vä turn in to a town.

This Thesis aims to explore how to integrate an IT-system for facilitating anorganizations work with Continous Impprovements.This is done here by examining and analyzing the process within a handful ofcompanies who seem to have been successful with their own implementations. När Hulken mötte Barbie : -Pedagogers förhållningssätt till könsstereotypa leksaker i förskolan

The aim of this study is to investigate how preschool teachers reason about gender stereotypical and gender neutral toys and other material. I would also like to see how the pedagogues reason about gender segregation when it comes to toys. To investigate the issue, I have interviewed three pedagogues from different preschools. The results showed that the work procedures differed a bit from school to school, although they all wanted to achieve the same goal. A goal that our curriculum mention as well: Not to make a difference between boys and girls.

SINK och A-SINK i strid medEU-rätten, trots assimilationsmöjligheten? : Diskriminering och rättfärdigande

Sveriges medlemskap i EU har, mot bakgrund av suveränitetsprincipen, inneburit att svenska bestämmelser på den direkta beskattningens område måste vara förenliga med de grundläggande friheter som stadgas i EUF-fördraget. Utomlands bosatta fysiska personer beskattas för tjänsteinkomst i enlighet med SINK eller A-SINK med en definitiv källskatt och inga kostnadsavdrag medges inom ramen för nämnda lagstiftning. Nekande av kostnadsavdrag för utomlands bosatta har, vid bedömning i EUD, ansetts utgöra hinder mot de fria rörligheterna inom unionen. Detta på grund av att kostnader i direkt relation till förvärvandet av inkomsten är territoriellt avgränsningsbara då motsvarande intäkt beskattas inom Sverige. En skattskyldiga enligt SINK eller A-SINK befinner sig således i en objektivt jämförbar situation med en obegränsat skattskyldig enligt IL.

In this thesis we study four groups of students in grade 8, 9 and 10 when they try to solve a classical mathematical problem: Which rectangle with given circumference has the largest area? The aim of the study was too see how the students did to solve a mathematichal problem?The survey shows that students have rather poor strategies to solve mathematical problems. The most common mistake is that students don?t put much energy to understand the problem before trying to solve it. They have no strategies.

Får högpresterande elever den utmaning de har rätt till i skolan? : En empirisk studie baserat på lärares åsikter om arbetet med individualisering med fokus på högpresterande elever

The purpose of this study is to investigate five teachers? opinions on the work with individualization with focus on above-average pupils. I have issued four questions based on the purpose of this study: - How do these teachers define the theoretical concepts of individualization and above-average pupils? - How do the teachers reason about the concept of individualization with focus on the above-average pupils? - How do the teachers reason regarding the work with individualization in the Swedish language? - Do these teachers consider that there are difficulties to individualize the work so that it will challenge above-average pupils?The method used to conduct this study was a semi-structured qualitative interview with five teachers in primary school. The theory and the theoretical concepts this study is based on is: what defines the above- average pupils, the zone of proximal development, the concept of individualization and motivation and the importance of cognitive and non-cognitive abilities.The study shows that the theoretical concept of above-average pupils is hard to define and it shows a difference between how the teachers choose to define it.

Upphovsrättens sammanställningsskydd och sui generis-skyddet för databaser. En adekvat skyddsnivå på bekostnad av informationsfriheten?

Collections, compilations and databases currently stand under a solid intellectual property protection in Sweden. This legal protection is partly a product of the old Nordic ?catalogue-rule? seen in the former 49 § of the Swedish copyright act (upphovsrättslagen) but was further extended by the implementation of the EU directive on the legal protection of databases 96/9/EG and the new sui generis-right. Since major values are represented digitally combined with the fact that Internet serves as the main provider for information a strong legal protection for databases must be carefully crafted. When crafting this kind of legal protection the right to freedom of information is balanced against the database producers? interests of property protection as well as social and public interests such as increased innovation.

Ishockeyns sommarskolor : En studie om föräldrars intresse för sommarhockeyskolor

To take part in a summer hockey camp during the summer vacation is something that is very popular. This study is carried out through parents of ice-hockey active children in the south of Sweden. The main purpose of this study is to investigate for which reasons parents might let their children participate in a summer hockey camp. It is also studied which parts of the contents in a camp that is considered important by the parents and how much they are willing to pay for a week. To answer this, were an inquiry send out to 86 respondents.

Hotell Rwanda - Ett pedagogiskt verktyg eller historieförvanskning?

The purpose of this essay is to analyse the movie Hotel Rwanda from a didactic point of view using the movie?s use of history and historical culture as the main analytical tools. We also intend to problematize the use of movies in teaching focusing on the teaching guide from the Swedish film institution concerning Hotel Rwanda. We choose to work with a qualitative method. The reason why we decided to work with a qualitative method is the intention, as mentioned before, to analyse the movie using the tools we described earlier.

Gränsdragningen mellan förhindra skatteflykt och förhindra förlust av skatteintäker : Två separata rättfärdigandegrunder med samma innebörd?

SammanfattningInom den direkta beskattningens område har medlemstaterna i den Europeiska Unionen till stor del behållit sin behörighet men ska likväl beakta EU-rätten vid utövandet av denna behörighet. EU-rätten har dock fått ett allt större inflytande på den direkta beskattningens område genom bestämmelserna om den fria rörligheten och etableringsfriheten som till viss del begränsar medlemsstaternas behörighet. Medlemsstaterna måste rättfärdiga en nationell bestämmelse som är i konflikt med etableringsfriheten för att få tillämpa den och ofta åberopas den principiellt accepterade rättfärdigandegrunden förhindra skatteflykt. Det är dock inte ovanligt att nationella bestämmelser anses oförenliga med etableringsfriheten om de syftar till att förhindra förlust av skatteintäkter. Att förhindra förlust av skatteintäkter är inte en accepterad rättfärdigandegrund då den anses vara grundad på rent ekonomiska intressen och således inte utgör ett tvingande hänsyn till allmänintresset.

This study focus on how different art teacher´s reason on the boundaries of plagiarism. What are the rules of duplicating an image before it is looked upon as plagiarism? The five interviewed teachers refer in its reasoning to the main curriculum and the rules of copyright; they also support the negative view of the plagiarism in the world of art. The purpose of the study is to find out how some teachers in Kenya reason about children in need of special support. To undertake the study the following question are used:How do some teachers in Kenya reason about children in need of special support?The study has been made with qualitative interviews in Kenya. A total of four teachers at primary school level have been interviewed. The decision to do qualitative interviews is made by the opportunity to get as comprehensive answers as possible from the respondents' reason about children in need of special support.Three different kinds of special education perspectives have been used in this study.

Europeiska Unionens makt att förändra världen : En kvalitativ studie ur ett normativt perspektiv

The purpose with this essay was to examine how the European Union is working totransfer norms to states they signed an agreement with and provide support for inframe of the Barcelona process and the Tacis programme. The theory which weused was Ian Manners (PhD in Political Science) theory of "the EU as a uniquenormative power". The aim was to examine whether the EU - which Manners mean- has had a normative power to influence states to change. We used a qualitativeapproach through the use of a multiple case study and qualitative text and contentanalysis. The States which formed the basis of our study were within the BarcelonaProcess; Morocco and Tunisia as well as Azerbaijan and Armenia funded by theTacis programme.
