The main objective of this essay is to present the views of nine Swedish publishers and four other agents in the literary field regarding the possibilities of and obstacles to publishing fiction in an electronic format. Furthermore, whether or not electronic publishing is today actually a viable alternative. A substantial part of the essay functions as background to our interview findings and is based primarily on material originating from the Sociology of Literature field. The introductory chapter expounds the methodological and theoretical basis of the essay and is followed by a chapter placing our study in a larger, international media, context. Chapter three deals with the past decades? restructuring of the publishing sector, the professional functions involved in traditional publishing and Pierre Bourdieu?s theories on the cultural and economic forces at work in the literary field.

On three occasions, in 1973, 1993 and 2005, Swedish parliament and government has resolved to integrate the, previously independent, foreign offices beloning to the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida) with the Swedish embassies. The implemenation of the integrationreform has however been a lengthy process. This thesis adresses two main issues: how has the integrationreform been able to remain a viable recipe for organizational change over time and why has the integrationprocess taken so long? Lastly I assess the possibility for effective implementation following the decision 2005.Based on New Institutionalism I conducted an historical analysis of the integrationprocess to explore the conditions for reform. My results indicate that the integrationreform primarly suited the interests of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs, making the Foreign Serivce more effective and clarifying the Ministry's responsibilty for Swedish development cooperation policy.

This essay describes my work as a director in a specialized orientation within psychodrama, surrealistic psychodrama. Using the language and performance techniques of theater and under the guidance of a director, psychodrama creates an improvised narrative or story. The essay describes several dramas I have directed, reflecting on my actions and choices as a director and group leader. I examine whether my working method has allowed me to be spontaneous and creative, which I believe the example of "The dangerous bear" demonstrates. The process enabled me to establish trust and receptivity so that a newly constituted group dared to investigate conflicts in symbolic ways associated with illness and death.

They act as bearers of power and presents the voters with finished packages of ideas on how society should grow, develop and change. Political parties are essential to the survival and wellbeing of representative democracy. Many theories have been developed over the years concerning matters related to political parties, but one area of research remains largely unexplored, namely the topic on why political parties do emerge in the first place.

Syftet med studien var att undersöka hur genus tar sig uttryck under skolidrotten och hur maktrelationen/dominansförhållandet kan se ut mellan pojkar och flickor. För att vi skulle kunna svara på vårt syfte använde vi oss av följande frågeställning: Är det så att pojkar tenderar att dominera under samundervisning i idrott och hälsa i årskurs 9 och hur uttrycker i så fall sig denna dominans? Vi valde att använda oss utav en kvalitativ icke deltagande (känd) observationsmetod där vi observerade fyra niondeklasser under två idrottslektioner vardera på en skola i Malmö. Uppsatsens teoriram bygger på Yvonne Hirdmans genusteori, genuskontrakt och genussystem där det är mannen som är kontraktsskrivare och utgör normen. Resultatet i vår undersökning visar att pojkar är tävlingsinriktade, aktiva, högljudda samt att de visar på en stor tilltro till den egna idrottsliga förmågan men en misstro till flickors förmåga.

Bakgrund och problemdiskussion: Det finns mycket forskning om utomstående styrelseledamöter i familjeföretag och vad de bidrar med i styrelsearbetet. Det är intressant att studera utomstående styrelseledamöters roller i familjeföretagens styrelser eftersom det är styrelsen som har det yttersta ansvaret i ett företag och därigenom en viktig roll i företaget. Genom att studera de utomstående ledamöternas roller enligt Goffmans sociologiska teori så vill vi skapa förståelse för utomstående ledamöters roller i familjeföretag.Syfte: Syftet med uppsatsen är att skapa differentierad förståelse för utomstående styrelseledamöters roller i olika familjeföretag.Metod: Uppsatsen har en abduktiv forskningsansats och en kvalitativ undersökningsdesign. Den teoretiska forskningen som använts är tidigare forskning om familjeföretag, styrelser, utomstående ledamöter och bolagsstyrningsteorier för att skapa förståelse om styrelsearbetet i familjeföretag. Vi har även använt oss av Goffmans sociologiska teorier för att tolka rollen som de utomstående ledamöterna får i familjeföretagens styrelser.

In this pilot study, we have investigated what the two biggest newspapers Aftonbladet and Dagens Nyheter, and the two largest union affiliated journals Lärartidningen/Lärarnastidning and Skolvärlden has written about teachers in their professional Roles, and investigated if and whether their reporting has changed over time. In the study, we have also examined what the newspapers and the union affiliated journals emphasize as status enhancing and status lowering factors for the Swedish teaching staff. We have furthermore analyzed our material through Leif Mathiassons theoretical framework in the anthology Uppdrag Lärare ?En antologi om status, yrkesskicklighet och framtidsdrömmar, in which he describes the creation of the image of the school as a medial and political construction. To reinforce Mathiassons theoretical framework we have also presented and used the agenda theory, the gestalt theory and the priming theory in our concluding discussion.

Vårt syfte var att studera begreppet interkulturellt förhållningssätt och undersöka hur det uppfattas av olika aktörer i förskoleverksamheten i den mångkulturella Stockholmsförorten Vantör. Vi har utgått från ett socialkonstruktivistiskt perspektiv, och utifrån detta tittat på fyra olika delar som vi anser vara viktiga för ett interkulturellt förhållningssätt. De fyra vi valt att titta på är, fysisk och psykisk miljö, språk, barns identitet och föräldrar. Vi har även gjort en kvalitativ undersökning, där vi har intervjuat människor med olika roller i förskoleverksamheten i Vantör. Vi ville höra deras tolkning av begreppet interkulturellt förhållningssätt, och vad de ansåg var viktigt för att få detta att fungera.

This essay concerns on how my novel The Teacher was influenced by the Masters course I completed in Creative Writing at Linnaeus University (2012 ? 2014). Basically, The Teacher is about a love affair between a teacher and a student. With an intertextual, comparative and structurally inspired method I examine the process of writing my text. I also examine how my work relates to the great changes of the Swedish school system in the early 1990:s: deregulation, decentralisation and management by objectives.

ABSTRACTThe purpose of this essay is first to get a general idea about a group of working teachers thoughts of mathematics and the teaching in mathematics. I also would like to find out what they think affect pupils relationship to the subject. The surveys main purpose is to compare teachers in grade 4-6 and teachers in grade 7-9 view of what you as a teacher can do to further the learning in mathematics. I have done eight interviews. Four of them are with teachers in grade 4-6 and the other four interviews are with teachers in grade 7-9.Concerning the result of my examination it is difficult to come to a general conclusion.

Swedish Development Cooperation emphasizes the need for collaboration among actors on a national level. In that context, the purpose of the thesis is to investigate how Public Private Partnership (PPP) on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) may influence the changing role of the state. The thesis is informed by Critical Discourse Analysis. In order to investigate the social constructions of reality, the thesis is a critical study of language related to ?Globalt Ansvar: Swedish Partnership for Global Responsibility? to identify through what discourses Collaboration on Corporate Social Responsibility is produced; and the implications in relation to Public Private Partnership.

Syftet med studien var att beskriva hälsorelaterad livskvalitet, ångest/depression och vårdtillfredsställelse hos kvinnor med bröstcancer tidigt i sjukdomsförloppet samt att undersöka om det fanns ett samband mellan dessa aspekter. Vidare studerades förklarande bakgrundsfaktorer; demografiska, socioekonomiska och medicinska faktorer samt psykosocialt stöd. Denna tvärsnittsstudie genomfördes som en enkätstudie kompletterat med medicinska data från Regionalt register för bröstcancer i Uppsala/Örebroregionen. Totalt 1574 förfrågningar om deltagande gick ut, varav 69 % valde att delta i studien. Niohundratrettiotvå kvinnor ingick i de slutliga analyserna (59 %).

This thesis examines how role-playing games can be used as an educational tool in after-school programs and identifies the challenges and opportunities perceived by both students and teachers. The study is based on qualitative methods, with interviews with after-school teachers and children in after-school programs with their observations of role-playing activities in a municipality. The results show that role-playing games promote social development, creative thinking, problem-solving, and language development. Students reported increased motivation and engagement, while teachers observed improved relationships and an inclusive environment where students could explore different Roles and perspectives. The research links these findings to previous studies that highlight the potential of role-playing games to develop empathy, collaboration skills, and critical thinking (Daniau, 2016; Trespalacios et al., 2011; Suryani et al., 2020). Furthermore, our findings support the curriculum goals of student influence and situational learning, emphasizing the importance of students' own initiatives and responsibility in educational activities (Lgr22, 2022). The study also identifies challenges, such as teachers' uncertainty about introducing and leading role-playing games due to a lack of expertise.

Background: The request for the Reggio Emilia practice has expanded enormously the last couple of years within the Swedish preschools. This particular practice describes the environment as a third educator. This third educator is supposed to work as - not only a tool - but also a support to ease children's learning experiences and help develop their mind. Previous research has shown that design of, for instance, furniture has a way of affecting the children's learning process and development.Aims: The purpose of this study is to see how two different teams of preschool educators on two differed Reggio Emilia inspired preschools work and handle the physical indoor environment. Method: We started out by contacting Reggio Emilia inspired preschools.

In the beginning of this century United Nations expressed their concern about the lack of female participation in politics through a number of resolutions and conventions. To ensure sustainable development and democracy, United Nations argued the importance of women?s participation in every level of politics within a state.Burma is a country that is in the middle of an ongoing democratization process and women are not considered to participate in this process. The purpose of this thesis is therefore to analyze the experience of politically involved Burmese women in their political participation progress.This study has been realized through semi-structured interviews with nine Burmese women, in both Thailand and Burma. The questions that have been asked are about what societal and cultural barriers women meet when they are, or want to be, political involved, both from the society and within their own political organizations.
