Begreppet KASAM- Känsla av sammanhang, utvecklades av Antonovsky. En hög KASAM ger en bättre förutsättning att möta livets utmaningar och se dem ur ett meningsfullt, begripligt och hanterbart perspektiv. Empowerment är inom omvårdnad ett förhållningssätt som syftar till att stärka individens förutsättning att påverka den egna situationen. För sjuksköterskan sker detta ofta genom information och undervisning. Uppsatsens syfte är att klargöra hur patientens situation påverkas utifrån KASAM´s tre beståndsdelar, samt hur sjuksköterskan genom empowerment kan stärka dessa komponenter.Metoden utgörs av en litteraturstudie där 15 artiklar granskats utifrån denna studies syfte och frågeställning, med en deduktiv ansats.

The aim of this Master?s thesis is to identify and describe thedifferent roles that are expressed in a public library by researchingthem in the four policy documents concerning Västerås public libraryin 2010 and by interviews with three specially chosen key persons.Further studied are the discourses that can be perceived in thematerial and whether or not the roles could come in conflict witheach other. Laclau and Mouffes discursive theory constitutes themethodical frame for this thesis and by using terms from discursivetheory the analysis was made in four steps.Seven roles were identified from the policy documents concerningVästerås public library and the interviews with the key persons. Thefirst role of the public library was the intermediary of knowledge andinformation, the second was viewed as a democratic role, the third asa marketing role, the fourth as a role that handled the collaboration,the fifth role was to improve literacy, and the sixth and seventh roleswere as a culture centre and a meeting place. With the help fromkeywords five major discourses were found within the material.

Thesis purpose: The purpose of this thesis is to make a contribution, by connecting the transfer of meaning within the context of TV series. The meaning is transferred from the brand to the character in a TV series and then further to the viewer. To look at different role functions that are used in dramaturgy and narrative techniques, we will be able to see how the brand will have a specific role and thereby make the transfer of meaning more successful and effective. This role will have an important impact on product placement according to the meaning that will be transferred from the brand to the viewer, through the character. Methodology: By looking at the transfer of meaning process that is created from the brand, an unstructured observation is applied where we observed the placement and usage of different within a specific TV series. Qualitative strategy is conducted by using a case study.

Många människor går in och ut ur olika missbruksprogram utan att bli fria från sitt missbruk på sikt. Frivilligsektorn har alternativa hjälpinsatser att erbjuda men frågan är vad dessa hjälpinstanser, som AA och frikyrkan, gör som individerna själva upplever vara till hjälp. Tidigare forskning har inte svarat på frågan varför individer väljer att söka sig till hjälpinstanser som dessa när det finns missbruksvård inom offentlig sektor att tillgå. Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka människor med bakomliggande missbruksproblematiks upplevelser av hjälp från Anonyma Alkoholister (AA), frikyrkan eller missbruksvården inom offentlig sektor, för att få en uppfattning om vad som faktiskt har fungerat för dessa människor. Studien är kvalitativ, hermeneutisk och bygger på semistrukturerade intervjuer med sju informanter.

This project report describes a supplement for character creation in a tabletop role-playing game ?Dragons and Demons." The purpose of this project is to improve the character creation for the players? trough the narrative elements such as character?s background story. The applied qualitative methods such as a test panel and a questionnaire were conducted for the evaluation of theories used during character creation and to get feedback on the supplement?s creative value for the players. The aim of the questionnaire was to see how the method for the character creation differs from the regular way of making a character for a tabletop role-playing game and if this idea improves user experience during the tabletop role-playing game.The results of the evaluation are based on answers from novice and experienced players, and conclude that the additional background story creates an insight into the character's past, which makes it easier for novice players to get quick started with character creation.

The aim of this study was to understand how staff at residential homes for unaccompanied children experiences their professional role. The main focus of the study was on how the staff defines their professional role and how they handle the situation to be close and at the same time keep a distance towards the children in care. Five women and two men were interviewed at five different residential homes for unaccompanied children. By symbolic interactionism we are able to see that the professional roles are shaped through interaction with the children in care as well as in relation to colleagues. The main role for the staff is to build up a relationship with the children.

De huvudsakliga frågeställningarna lyder: Hur relaterar självmakt och identitet till miljöpraktik? samt: Vilken roll spelar moraliska och känslomässiga aspekter för miljöpraktik?Metod och material:Datainsamling genomfördes med kvalitativ semistrukturerad intervju. Semistrukturen valdes då den tillåter informanterna att fritt utveckla egna tolkningar av sitt handlande.

I december 2001, bröt en allvarlig kris ut i Argentina som fick politiska, ekonomiska och sociala konsekvenser. En av dessa konsekvenser var de olika former av social mobilisering som uppstod som ett uttryck för folkets desperation och som strategi för att rädda sin situation. En av de sociala mobiliseringarna var de återtagna företagen (ERT, Empresas Recuperadas por los Trabajadores). Tidigare anställda ockuperade och återtog sina fabriker när de gått i konkurs och de tidigare ägarna flytt landet. De bildade arbetskooperativ och fick efter en lång och hård kamp rätt att styra företagen i egen regi.Vi reste till Buenos Aires för att komma närmre detta ämne och söka kunskap om den kontext detta skett i och ta reda på vad återtagandet av dessa företag inneburit för arbetarnas del.

The purpose of my essay is towrite about newly qualified elementary teachers during their first professional experience and their opinions of a teacher's identity. My interest is a result of that I myself am studying to be a teacher and am reaching the end of my studies.My purpose is mainly to examine how teachers first experience their role and if their education helped them resolve any problems they had. My aim was also to examine what the teacher?s identity and role and the question of leadership means for new teachers?I have used a qualitative interview method.The results showed that new teachers experience difficulties and that their training does not prepare them sufficiently. The results also showed that the teacher?s identity, the teacher?s role and leadership are factors that grow with time and experience in the teaching role and that it is not something that the beginner teachers acquire during their education. I have achieved a clearer picture of what to expect and how to enter into the role of teacher with support and time..

The general objective of this qualitative study is to analyse and describe what people with psychiatric disabilities write on their blogs about their encounters with social workers. The questions the study is aiming to answer are: How do people with psychiatric disabilities describe their encounters with social workers? Do the informants describe instances of paternalism and advocacy? How do the informants describe their sense of meaningfulness, comprehensibility and manageability? The study is based on a theoretical framework in which empowerment and sense of coherence (SOC) are the key elements, along with the concepts of paternalism and advocacy as well as meaningfulness, comprehensibility and manageability. Syftet med denna undersökning har varit att utforska och förstå hur ledarskapet påverkas när en organisation genomgår en förändring till en agil verksamhet. Bakgrunden till undersökningen grundar sig i den traditionella synen på ledarskap där chefen ledde och fördelade arbetet. Under 1950-talet förändrades synen på arbetsledning och arbetsfördelning där medarbetarna blev allt mer delaktiga i arbetsprocessen.Med utgångspunkt i detta har vår forskning behandlat de effekter på ledarskapet som inträffar när en organisation går ifrån ?command and control? till ?empowerment?. Därav har vi ställt upp följande frågeställningar; Hur har kontrollen (över teamen) förändrats för linjechefen i övergången från Classic Waterfall till Agile, På vilket sätt har förändringen påverkat linjechefens informationshämtning till att genomföra IPM-samtal och Vilka effekter får förändringen på ledarstilen när organisationen övergår till en agil organisation.Vi har använt oss av en kvalitativ metod där åtta semistrukturerade intervjuer genomfördes med linjechefer ur två avdelningar för att samla in vårt empiriska material.

Although school librarians have an important role to play in high schools helping teachers and students during their education, Swedish school librarians are often considered to end up left out by teachers and head principals due to school librarians vague and unclear professional role in the school. The aim of this thesis is to attempt to study school librarians own apprehensions of their particular professional role in a high school context, and how their professional role is believed to be apprehended by teachers and head principals. The results are based on interviews made with eight school librarians working in different high school libraries in Gothenburg during April 2002. By using phenomenographic method various existing apprehensions of the specific phenomena that the professional role of the school librarian constitutes of are made clear. The aim of the method is not to study what the profession constitutes of, but rather how it is apprehended by the school librarians themselves.

This study used a qualitative interview design to explore the experiences of seven Swedish female elite athletes and their career retirement. The athletes were engaged in three different sports; track and field (athletics), handball and golf and five of them are former professional or semi-professional athletes. The process of their athletic role exit was based on the theoretical findings of Ebaugh (1988) and her four phases: First Doubts, Seeking Alternatives, The Turning Point and Creating the Ex-Role. The findings reveal that for these female former elite athletes Seeking Alternatives already starts before the First Doubts and that possibly the athletes at an early stage have insights of the discontinuity of their athletic career. The importance of transferring their role residual to future paths in life was stressed among the female athletes in order to be able to have a smooth transition process.
