Syftet med studien var att explorativt undersöka vilken betydelse hästen har för brittiska soldater och veteraner som varit ute i krig och återvänt med någon form av ohälsa. Studiens frågeställningar var: Hur används hästen på Horseback UK  som en del i tillfrisknandet för brittiska soldater och veteraner som varit ute i krig? Hur beskriver brittiska soldater och veteraner som varit ute i krig hästens betydelse för livskvalitén? För att besvara frågeställningarna tillämpades en metod som bestod av kvalitativa intervjuer. Intervjuerna utfördes på Horseback UK i Skottland som är en välgörenhetsorganisation, skapad för att ge en trygg och säker miljö. De arbetar med hjälp av hästar för att hjälpa de som tjänstgör eller tjänstgjort i den brittiska armén och kommit tillbaka med någon form fysisk eller psykisk ohälsa.

ABSTRACT Infertility is a medical condition that affects approximately 16 % of Swedish couples in childbearing age and is a condition found in both men and women. When a couple has been trying to conceive for more than 12 months without success they need to see a health care provider. Infertility can be treated with medicine, insemination or assisted reproductive technology such as in-vitro fertilization (IVF) and intra-cytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI). The aim of this study was to validate a morphokinetic selection model, KIDScore? D3 Basic, against morphological selection model that is currently in use at the Fertility unit at University hospital in Orebro.

This study examined constructions of horses and means staff working with horses parallel to therapy in institutional care ascribes to horses. A narrative method was used and the theoretical framework was social constructionism. A question was asked to the narratives: How can practice in institutional care be understood through these stories? The result showed different pictures of institutional care. Horses seem to provide a multi-faceted therapeutic tool.

I en skola som i hög grad är utrustad med digital teknik utnyttjas ändå inte tekniken till alla de möjligheter som IT erbjuder. Pedagogikens utveckling i förhållande till tekniken diskuteras i det här arbetet utifrån ett lärarperspektiv. Syftet med det här arbetet är att undersöka hur lärare på gymnasiet använder och integrerar digitala redskap i undervisningen, samt hur de beskriver möjligheter och förutsättningar att utveckla undervisningen med hjälp av digitala redskap. För att få svar på våra frågor har vi gjort en enkätundersökning på fyra kommunala skolor. Våra resultat visar att lärarna använder och integrerar digitala redskap i ganska stor utsträckning, men det finns fortfarande många som inte utnyttjar redskapen fullt ut.

Syftet med denna studie var att beskriva arbetsterapeuters erfarenheter av vårdhundar/terapihundar i svensk rehabilitering. Interventionerna med vård/terapihundarna benämndes hundassisterad intervention men den arbetsterapeutiska rehabiliteringsprocessen inkluderar ännu fler faktorer, exempelvis utredning. Nio arbetsterapeuter deltog i studien och semistrukturerade intervjuer användes för att samla in data. Data analyserades med hjälp av kvalitativ innehållsanalys. Analysen resulterade i ett tema, Vårdhunden skapar delaktighet i och efter rehabiliteringen, bildades med tre tillhörande underkategorier.

Arbetsterapi ämnar möjliggöra utförande av meningsfulla aktiviteter för klienter. Djur ger positiva effekter på människans fysiska, mentala och sociala funktioner som kan öka dennes aktivitetsförmåga, vilket är en förutsättning för aktivitetsutförande. Syftet var att kartlägga forskning kring djur i relation till arbetsterapi samt betydelsen djuren har på individens aktivitetsliv. Metoden var en systematisk litteratursökning som gjordes med 14 valda sökord i sju databaser som slutligen gav 15 artiklar för analys. I resultatet identifierades forskningsområdena djurägarskap och djurterapi.

ABSTRACTIn this study, five people were interviewed who are involved in a drug-assisted program for opiate addiction, also called substitution program. The meaning of substitution is that these clients' drug addiction is replaced with substitute preparations, either methadone or Subutex in an orderly manner. The clients of the researcher decided to study the substitution program have all been a heavy opiate addiction for years. Their participation in the replacement program is more than two years, and those who have been around the longest have been in the program for six years, so long as the substitution program has existed in Visby.This is a qualitative study in which interviews are conducted face to face with each individual client, and the interview was unstructured in the sense that no specific issues made in advance. The interviews have been themed, and the researcher has gone through various areas of life around the respondent.

This report explains the need to develop a configuration manager that handles transmission equipment which exists in the Swedish Defence telecommunications network. The configuration module will display the configurations and compatibility among the equipment and their software which are all part of the network.Also included in this report are tools, methods and results for the development of a prototype for the configuration manager. The prototype consists fundamentally of a database assisted by a user friendly website.The transmission equipment handles a lot of important transmission of information and is in the hands of a department of SAAB, OFGCA, by orders from the Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV). Within the work included in this order exists a continuous update of both software and hardware which the equipment consists of. Therefore it?s highly important that there is a monitoring of which of the software and hardware is compatible with one another, ensuring that the functions of the system work properly.The consistent updating has resulted in compatibility issues between components and because of this, a need for a configuration manager has arisen..

In as much as the technology promises to mention but a few, hope for the infertile couples and single parents, as well as the hope of reproduction without passing on hereditary diseases; it at the same time beeps some flashes of worry.

Robotic milking in Automatic Milking systems (AMS) is proposed to reduce manual labour and at the same time increase milk yield by increasing milking frequency. In order to increase milking frequency, it is essential to have well-functioning cow traffic. Investing in an AMS is a great capital investment for the farmer, thus it is of major importance to ensure maximal AMS capacity. This study investigated the effect of the traffic systems Feed First? and Free cow traffic with and without waiting area (WA) on cow performance and AMS capacity.

The purpose of our studyis to investigate how the changed Education Act in Malmoe affects the work of school counselor in elementary school and how it further may affect the work. We were also investigating counselors? views on the politically increasing transparency of student health that comes as a result of the new school organization in Malmoe. To obtain our results, we have chosen to use a qualitative research interview, where we have chosen a semi-structured interview form. We have chosen two theories, Foucault -power and discipline and organizational theory.

Syftet för denna studie var att studera förekomsten av postoperativa sårinfektioner hos patienter som genomgått kärloperation med inguinal incision under åren 2008 till och med mars månad 2013. Undersöka skillnader gällande riskfaktorer inom studerad patientgrupp för förekomst av postoperativ sårinfektion samt studera om patienter som utfört endovaskulär metod under samma vårdtillfälle oftare drabbades av postoperativ sårinfektion än de patienter som inte genomgått endovaskulär metod under samma vårdtillfälle. Metoden som användes var granskning av patientjournaler efter utifrån studien utvalda specifika operationskoder. Granskningen av de 54 patientjournalerna skedde med hjälp av egenmodifierad tidigare använd granskningsmall. Studieresultatet visar att förekomsten av postoperativa sårinfektioner hos den studerade patientgruppen uppgår till 22,2 %.

Syftet med studien var att studera hur sällskapsdjur kan påverka demenssjukas beteendeproblem och vara ett komplement till medicinsk behandling med lugnande läkemedel hos patienter med demens.Studien genomfördes som en systematisklitteraturstudie. Metoden författarna använde sig av var att de valde ut 9 stycken vetenskapliga artiklar från år 1999-2009 som hittats i olika databaser och referenslistor. Artiklarna analyserades genom att texten delades upp i de olika kategorierna lugnade effekt/oro, aggression, kontakt/beröring och läkemedelsanvändande. Resultatet visade att beteendeproblemen som aggression och oro, i flera av studierna blev bättre i sällskapsdjurs närvaro, men bara under den tiden som deltagarna fick animal assisted therapy (AAT). När deltagarna blev utan AAT försämrades deras beteendeproblem igen.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att undersöka deltagares upplevelser av och tankar kring hästunderstödd terapi. Utifrån detta studerar vi hur hästunderstödd terapi är en del av socialt arbete. Detta har vi undersökt utifrån följande frågeställningar: ?Hur talar deltagarna om hästens roll och betydelse i den hästunderstödda terapin??, ?Hur beskriver deltagarna att hästens närvaro påverkar deras färdigheter och känslor?? och ?Hur upplever deltagarna hästunderstödd terapi som behandlingsmetod?? Studiens empiri härrör från intervjuer med fem deltagare i hästunderstödd terapi. Vi har gjort en kvalitativ studie med semistrukturerade intervjuer som metod för insamling av data.

The purpose of this essay was to investigate the view of what kind of role the personal assistant has in disabled people´s life and sexlife and how conceptions of a "normal" life and "to live like others" can be identified related to this. My research questions was: What does the expression "to live like others" mean to the organisations? What is the view in the organisations of the personal assistant´s role in the client´s life? What is the view in the organisations of the personal assistant´s role in the client´s sexlife? What is the view in the organisations of disabled people´s rights to get assisted help with sex? I chose to do semistructured interviews with different organisations related to disability and assistance and I analysed the interviews with theoretical aspects of social constructivism, the principle of normalization and the theory of SRV (Social Role Valorization), autonomy, individualism and models of action. My main conclusion were that the views of disabled people´s sexuality and the personal assistant´s role in disabled people´s sexlife were widely separate. However, almost all of the organisations were pointing out the autonomy of the individual and the importance of setting the limits.
