Syftet med denna uppsats var att se hur Aftonbladets förmedling av risken för ett utbrott av fågelinfluensan har skildrats. Vi var intresserade av att undersöka om risken har förändrats genom de fyra första upptäckterna i Sverige.I vår undersökning har vi kommit fram till att Aftonbladet använder sig av de diskurser som råder i samhället tex. sjukdomsdiskursen, expertdiskursen och nationsdiskursen. Detta anser vi att de gör för att appellera till läsare och skapa ett intresse för tidningen. En annan intressant aspekt som vi har kunnat utläsa var att Aftonbladet har byggt upp och breddat risken för fågelinfluensan, genom att identifiera nya riskgrupper i artikelserien.

This Masters' thesis is a study on the information behaviour of hospital personnel at the University Hospital in Lund, Sweden. A questionnaire was distributed to 301 nurses and physicians working in the intensive care unit, the population was reduced to 244 persons. The response rate was 52%, i.e. 125 questionnaires were completed. Nurses constituted 68 % of the population.

As a forest owner you always have to consider hazards and uncertainty when planning your forestry actions. The aim with this report is to test my hypothesis that there is an overall difference between men and women when it comes to perception, estimation and management of hazards/risks in forestry. I will look into if there are differences in how men and women estimate risks in production forestry from an economical point of view. The aim is also to look into if there are differences between male and female private forest owners, in how they perceive and manage hazards in connection with a possible climate change. To fulfil this aim, an inquiry survey was undertaken in three different areas of Sweden, two areas in the south and one in the north. But in this report I have evaluated the three areas as a whole.

Afrikansk hästpest (AHS) är en infektiös, vektorburen sjukdom som kan drabba hästdjur. Sjukdomen uppträder ofta subklinskt hos zebror och åsnor, medan mortaliteten hos hästar kan överstiga 90 %. Viruset sprids med Culicoides spp (svidknott), som även är vektorer för det närbesläktade blåtungeviruset (BTV). I nuläget förekommer ej AHS i Europa, men spridningen av BTV inom EU indikerar en möjlig risk för att även AHS ska kunna etablera sig. Klimatförändringar samt att hästar förflyttas i en allt högre utsträckning, bidrar också till en ökad risk för introduktion. Ett utbrott av AHS skulle medföra allvarliga konsekvenser för hästnäringen.

Studien utgår ifrån olika faktorer som kan påverka hälsan positivt eller negativt, dessa faktorer benämns som risk- respektive friskfaktorer. Faktorerna har tagits fram utifrån en genomförd litteraturstudie samt en första överblicksintervju. En fördjupning i en flyktingsamordnares syn på ett introduktionsprogram för flyktingar har genomförts. Syftet är att ur ett kommunikationsperspektiv ta reda på hur en flyktingsamordnare försöker påverka de utvalda risk- och friskfaktorerna, samt att utforska vilka kommunikationskanaler som används och mot vilka kommunikationen riktar sig. För att samla in data har två intervjuer med en flyktingsamordnare genomförts.

This study aims to analyze the risks with building new households between railroads and shore, the focus of the study lays on Öbacka strand in Umeå municipality. The study also investigate if a land use conflict has taken place and how it was handled.The paper is based on different documents that was central for the work of planning the households and some interviews with operators that was highly involved with the planning of the area.The results shows that there is several risks with establishing new household between railroads and shores. Mainly because of the exposure of noise from the railways, though the risk for impact on the living environment for animals were low in this case there is a generally risk that it could get negative effects. It also a very important that the availability to the shore is secured. Planning in this type of area involves a great number of operators can easily cause a conflict due to the different perspectives on how the land should be used in the future, and also because of protecting different interests.

The title of this thesis is ?Accessible Landscape - boardwalks in nature areas?. The main purpose of this thesis is to show how you can increase the accessibility for disabled people by constructing boardwalks in nature areas. The platform for the thesis is a study of litterature on boardwalks, accessibility and disabilities. After defining these terms I made three excursions to three different locations in the south of Sweden. During the excursions I evaluated the boardwalks situated in each of the areas through preferences such as the construction of the boardwalk, its design and the accessibility. After the excursions I interviewed managers of the areas I visited, and people working with disability questions in the municipalities where the excursions took place. To know how to make a boardwalk accessible you need to have knowledge about certain concepts, rules and recommendations. My thesis deals with aspects such as: *Accessibility *Disability *Rules and recommendations when building boardwalks *Real life - evaluation from the excursions and interviews with the managers The result shows that accessibility is a hot topic in Sweden and a lot of improvement is being done with fi nancial support from the European Union.

This bachelor?s degree thesis was conducted in mechanical engineering at Halmstad University during spring semester 2010 in close collaboration with the company Gremo AB, located in Ätran, Sweden. Gremo AB produces, developes and sales forest machines in both Sweden and on the international market.Gremo AB belongs to one of the market leaders in forest industry, especially with their forwarder. In order to become a market leader even with their harvester, the company decided to change the harvester to have a swivel and a leveling driver cabin.The aim with this bachelor?s degree thesis was to develop a design concept for the harvester driver cabin, which Gremo AB can apply on the new harvester.

This study is based on a statistical analysis of fundamental key ratios on the Stockholm Stock Exchange during the period 2004-2012. In total 35 financial ratios of 90 companies were tested, ultimately five ratios remained within the 5% significance level. These ratios were ROA, P/B, Total Yield, EV/EBIT and Operating Margin. A custom made investment model was created based on the purpose to achieve a risk-adjusted excess return. The results in general did not show any significant difference in return between the model's portfolio and index.

Kalmar Municipality has in 2008-2010 made an effort to educate managers on gender, with the goal of mainstreaming gender into public activities so that all citizens should feel safe in that treatment and services are designed and resources are distributed equally to both sexes living conditions and needs. The overall aim of this study was to examine whether the training effort has paid off, and how gender mainstreaming has been implemented in the different activities. We have used a qualitative approach, which we examined through interviews managers' approach to gender equality.Gender was generally described as an important issue of all respondents, and all were working to mainstream gender into their activities and workplaces. The results show that the operational and management needed clearer directives and strategies in their efforts to promote gender equality. Education was necessary because personal definition of gender may differ from the control contents of the documents.

BakgrundRisk är den faktor som de flesta sparare grundar sina fondbeslut på. Trots detta så använder sig de fyra storbankerna sig av fyra skilda metoder att presentera sina fonders risk på, där skalor och färgsättningar väsentligt skiljer sig åt. Utöver bankerna så har såväl Premiepensionsmyndigheten som Morningstar egna sätt att presentera fonders risk på. Detta förfarande gör det, ur risksynpunkt, till en mycket komplex fråga när det gäller för kunden att jämföra fonder från olika värdepappersinstitut.SyfteSyftet med denna uppsats är att beskriva hur riskrating genomförs av olika aktörer på den svenska kapitalmarknaden. Vi vill även förklara vilka skillnader och likheter som finns och utveckla en standardiserad modell för riskrating.GenomförandeGenom att initialt studera värdepappersinstitutens publicerade material skapade vi oss en bild av vilken information som fanns tillgänglig för investeraren.

Bakgrund: Postoperativa sårinfektioner [PSI] är en allvarlig komplikation och ett hälsoproblem som orsakar lidande för patienten. Såsom vid alla operativa ingrepp förekommer en risk att få PSI i operationssåret/-såren efter Coronary Artery Bypass Graft [CABG], men det finns redan en rad kända riskfaktorer som ökar risken för PSI.Syfte och metod: Syftet med rapporten var att undersöka om kombinationen av ett antal sedan tidigare kända riskfaktorer ökade risken för PSI efter CABG på ett mellansvenskt sjukhus åren 2009-2012. En retrospektiv journalgranskningsstudie med totalt 228 patienter genomfördes.Resultat: Av 228 undersökta hade totalt 50 patienter rapporterat sårinfektion och 73 patienter hade ? 3 riskfaktorer. Bland de som hade ? 3 riskfaktorer rapporterade 32,9% PSI och bland de som hade < 3 riskfaktorer rapporterade 16,8% PSI.

This is a study of some risk factors for Diabetes Mellitus (DM) in dogs. As a pilot study it is meant to give information to be used in a planned later, larger and better controlled study. The present study hypothesized that suboptimal feeding (high percentage of homemade and table foods), lack of activity and overweight contribute to the risk of DM. Twenty consecutive dogs diagnosed with DM at the Veterinary University Clinic in Uppsala between 2000 ? 2003 were chosen as the experimental group.

Studien syftade till att studera risk- och skyddsfaktorer som kan finnas i miljön när ett barn växer upp med en förälder med missbruksproblematik och/eller psykisk ohälsa. Studien var kvalitativ och data samlades in via åtta semistrukturerade intervjuer. Systemteori och anknytningsteori utgjorde den teoretiska tolkningsramen. Studien resulterade i åtta teman: relationen till föräldrar, relationen till syskon, viktiga personer, skola, fritidsaktiviteter, upprätthållandet av en fasad, känsloreaktioner samt överlevnadsstrategier. Dessa teman beskriver både risk- och skyddsfaktorer.
