Operationell risk inom banksektorn är ett område under utveckling. Utredningen har behandlat ett ramverk för hantering av operationell risk kallat A Systemic Approach Framework for Operational Risk (SAFOR). Syftet har varit att konkretisera detta ramverk och inom detta utvärdera en metod kallad Damage Evaluation and Effective Prevention (DEEP-metoden) i kombination med ett datoriserat beslutsverktyg benämnt DecideIT. SAFOR hanterar operationell risk som är nära kopplat till företagets processer, personer och system. Dess utformning grundar sig i general system theory, en holistisk verksamhetssyn som minskar risken för överlappning mellan olika riskhanteringsområden.

Syfte: Syftet med uppsatsen är att jämföra tre av Sveriges största bankers kontinentfonder under perioden 2008-2010, som innefattar både en nedgång och uppgång i börsen.Metod: Studien baseras på kvantitativ data från den oberoende utgivare av fondinformation Morningstar, där all information om de berörda fonderna finns. Kompletterande data kommer hämtas in från bankerna. Urvalet kommer bestå av tre fonder från Asien, tre från Europa och tre från Nordamerika. Bankerna som fonderna kommer ifrån är Handelsbanken, Nordea och SEB.Resultat och slutsats: De fonder som gick bäst under uppgångsfasen 2009-2010 var helt klart Asienfonderna som gick i snitt upp cirka 65%. Under nedgångsfasen 2008 däremot så hade Asienfonderna gått ner mest och de fonderna som klarade sig bäst var Nordamerikafonderna.

God planering av projektet är avgörande för ett lyckat resultat. Det är viktigt med bra kommunikation och tätt samarbete mellan de olika avdelningarna i projektet, och även med externa konsulter som till exempel leverantören av ERP-systemet. Riskanalys var en viktig del av projektens risk management strategi. En skicklig och flexibel projektledning hade stor betydelse för att risk management strategin fungerade.

This masters thesis aims to investigate how upper secondary school pupils experience their information seeking in a school context without access to a school library. It is the pupils own thoughts and opinions about information seeking and criticism of the sources that is the main focus. The literature that has been used consists of material from research concerning youth and different aspects of information seeking such as the information seeking process, information seeking on the web, criticism of the sources and how pupils interact with other people in order to acquire information. The method that has been used is group interviews. Twelve pupils from an independent school without access to a school library have been interviewed in groups of three.

Syftet med denna systematiska litteraturstudie var att ta reda på vilka faktorer som påverkar uppkomsten av postoperativ urinretention, POUR, i tidigt postoperativt skede. Artikelsökning har skett i databaserna CINAHL, MEDLINE och PsycINFO. Artiklarna kvalitetsbedömdes utifrån en modifierad granskningsmall för artikelgranskning. Sexton artiklar inkluderades i studien. Resultatet visade att med stigande ålder ökade risken för POUR, speciellt för män.

Problem: How has Nordea been adapted and influenced by the change of Basel II and how have the employees reacted on the new change?Purpose: This essay has a purpose to study how Basel II has influenced the credit rating at Nordea. We also want to study how the employees have reacted to the new change.Method: To receive the information that was necessary for this study interviews were performed with the employees at Nordea. The interviews were an effective way to start a discussion and by that we received important information.Basel II is new capital cover rules that the Swedish banks have introduced. These new rules mean that it will become more important with safety when it comes to risk management and credit giving.

The intervention consisted of the information material Sugen på sömn. There were five participants whom three of them participated in the second interview. The interviews were processed by content analysis.Results: Health professionals´ experience of giving advice on sleep was summarized in three themes. The experiences of giving advice in interaction with parents, health professional themselves experienced the power to influence the parents with the advice they gave, while the parents' previous experience and knowledge impacted on how the advice came into practice.

Bakgrund: Studier har visat på ett samband mellan otillräcklig information preoperativt och upplevelser av höga nivåer postoperativ smärta hos kirurgpatienter. Även oro preoperativt har visats påverka postoperativ smärta i negativ riktning.Syfte: Syftet med denna studie var att undersöka hur patientgruppen skattade oro, smärta, information och smärtlindring vid kirurgi. Samt undersöka om det fanns samband mellan preoperativ information, oro och upplevelsen av smärta efter operation för patienter som genomgår laparotomisk bukkirurgi.Metod: En tvärsnittsstudie med kvantitativ ansats baserad på ett konsekutivt urval. Data samlades in genom enkäter, deltagarna var kirurgiska patienter som genomgått laparotomisk bukkirurgi. Tjugo patienter deltog i studien i åldrarna 22-75 år, hälften kvinnor och hälften män.

Bakgrund: Ekonomiska rapporter tas ofta fram av slentrian i små företag och småföretagare har många gånger svårt att förstå informationen som finns i de ekonomiska rapporterna och använder den inte heller som underlag för sitt beslutsfattande. De förlitar sig hellre på intuition och fingertoppskänsla. Vi menar att småföretagare borde bli mer medvetna om hur de kan dra nytta av de ekonomiska rapporterna. Syfte: Syftet är att ge ett bidrag till diskussionen kring rapportanvändning i små företag. Med bidrag menar vi dels att utreda vilka ekonomiska beslut som fattas i små företag dels vilka variabler som kan vara avgörande för i vilken utsträckning ekonomiska månadsrapporter används som beslutsunderlag.

The worsening of psychical health issues among young people has widely been discussed over the last few years. Research shows for example that 9% of girls at the age of 16-24 reported anxiety problems in 1989 while 16 years later, in 2005, the same number was 30%. The purpose of this essay was to study and analyze psychiatrists', psychologists' and counselors' view on the resilience and risk factors for youth depression (age 16-24). Beside this, our aim was to study their view on the influence of family environment on treatment and recovery. Data were collected with qualitative interviews with eight informants within the psychiatric care.

The aim of the study was to get a deeper understanding of how young people think and act when it comes to Contraceptive use, and also if outside factors have an impact on young peoples behaviour in these matters. We looked at our study from an identity and a development perspective. The method was conducted as a qualitative study. There were two groups of 8 young people, aged 16-17. Hedge funds have the past few years become an increasingly popular investment alternative and in the last decade hedge fund assets managed have quadrupled to USD 2000 billion, a growth rate of around 25-30% per year. One explanation for this substantial increase is that hedge funds' minimum limits on capital invested has declined, which have made ??them available to retail investors.
