The aim of this master's thesis is a comparative study on units for civic information in Göteborg. The study is based on a project currently in progress at the main public library in Göteborg. It is observed that according to the library's mission statement the library aims to become the most competent intermediary of civic information in Göteborg. This statement suggests a competitive strategy towards other intermediaries of civic information. The mission statement does, however, also state that their goal is to be obtained in cooperation with other intermediaries.

Bakgrund: Genom läkemedelsreformen överfördes kostnadsansvaret för läkemedel från staten till landstingen med syfte att dämpa de skenande läkemedelskostnaderna. I dagsläget är det patientavgifterna och förskrivningen av läkemedel som landstingen kan påverka. Om förskrivningen ska ändras för att minska kostnaderna är det läkarna som måste påverkas till att ändra sitt förskrivningsmönster. I studier av hur läkare möter krav på ekonomistyrning har tre starka institutioner ? etiska regler, hög grad av autonomi samt ett kunskapsövertag gentemot andra grupper ? identifierats.

This Bachelor?s thesis is related to the area within library and information studies that focuses on information seeking and information practices. The study deals with how politically engaged young people seek information in relation to their political interests. The purpose of the study is to create an understanding of the roles that different forms of information-related activities play within the framework of political interest and of the feelings, experiences and challenges that such activities may give rise to for those involved. The study also discusses purposes and motivation for information seeking and use in political engagement.

Information management is today a matter of great importance for every organisation. It is therefore necessary for organisations to see information and its management as a significant part of the organisation s key to success. In this essay we have chosen to study the implications of information policy and information strategy for The Nordic Council/The Nordic Council of Ministers. These two intergovernmental organisations share the same information department. Although The Nordic Council/The Nordic Council of Ministers are non-profitable organisations, they share some characteristics with those acting in a competitive market.

Åldern på datoranvändare blir allt lägre. De barn som ännu inte lärt sig engelska får problem då de vill använda datorn till annat än att bara spela spel, eftersom de flesta applikationer antingen har engelskt gränssnitt eller är för tekniskt avancerade. Denna rapport handlar om Pixie Planner, en organizer riktad till yngre flickor. Programmet är skrivet i Java och databasen är gjord i MySQL. Pixie Planner använder svenska som språk i gränssnittet och har anpassats för att vara användarvänligt för målgruppen. Metoden jag använt för att utveckla applikationen följer den klassiska systemutvecklingen vilken itererar följande faser: analys, implementering samt testning fram tills att programmet uppfyller kraven.

The main purpose of this study is to investigate how student nurses seek and use information and libraries. Furthermore, I want to know how they think information can be used in their future occupation. Seven student nurses were included in the study. A qualitative method with personal interviews was used. The analysis of the empirical material was made according to a socio-cultural perspective.

The change in the information society has affected the development of the labour market for information specialists and informants as well as their roles. Companies are now aware of the fact that information specialists have a variety of important skills and competence that is important for them. The goal of this thesis is to see what defines an information specialist and an informant and also to find out their situation on the labour market. The similarities and differences between the two professions will also be discussed in the thesis. The main method used is the investigation of the job advertisements in the journal DIK-forum from the year 2000 and year 2004.

Denna rapport handlar om hur den störningskänsliga trafiksituationen i Stockholm kan förbättras med information till trafikanterna via VMS-skyltar. Med VMS-skyltar menas informationstavlor på vilka det är möjligt att variera meddelanden. Vägverket Region Stockholm installerar i år (2001) en vägtrafikcentral (VTC) för att underlätta störningshanteringen vid incidenter i vägnätet. Inom en snar framtid ska Vägtrafikcentralen kunna styra tändningen och släckningen av skyltarna, och för detta krävs handlingsplaner som talar om vilken informationsstrategi som är lämpligast. Syftet med examensarbete var att ta fram dessa handlingsplaner.

Syftet med detta examensarbete var att underso?ka MEMS och elektretmikrofoner fo?r att finna vilken typ som la?mpar sig ba?st fo?r fo?retaget Comfort Audio AB och deras ho?rselhja?lpmedelsprodukter. Uto?ver detta underso?ktes mo?jligheter att kontrollera upptagningskarakteristik med hja?lp av en teknik vid namn end-fire.Resultaten har erha?llits genom att underso?ka ett antal elektroakustiska egenskaper hos olika mikrofoner, som sedan har ja?mfo?rts med respektive tillverkares tekniska specifikationer. Upptagningskarakteristiken har underso?kts genom konstruktion av en mikrofonuppsa?ttning da?r den summerade signalen underso?kts.

Tandvårdens miljösatsningar har fram tills den senaste tiden enbart fokuserat på att förhindra utsläpp av miljöfarliga ämnen, särskilt metallerna kvicksilver, bly och silver. Att utveckla arbetet mot en miljövänligare tandvård innebär ett ökat fokus på de stora mängder engångsartiklar i plast och papper som används varje dag i verksamheten. Andra områden som skulle kunna generera en markant förbättring ur miljösynpunkt är ett byte till en merdigitaliserad praktik, både i fråga om tekniska hjälpmedel, såsom röntgenutrustning, och journalföring.Syftet med arbetet är att undersöka den dagliga verksamheten på Praktikertjänsts tandvårdsmottagningar för att sedan kunna belysa vägar och inspirera till grön tandvård. Inom ramen för arbetet kommer även en informationstext riktad mot tandvårdspersonal att tas fram.Förutom litteraturstudium har fältstudium av två tandvårdsmottagningar, en serie telefonintervjuer, en enkätundersökning samt en mindre undersökning riktad mot Praktikertjänst Tandvårds leverantörer gjorts. Två miniworkshopar anordnades för att utvärdera informationstexten.Arbetets resultat är följande.

This report is the result of my examination work in Textdesign at Mälardalen University, Eskilstuna. The purpose with this work was to develop an accessible information material for the target group ?normal bowlers? that gives them the information they need to make their own decision on the lanes, because they often miss a coach during an away game. The focus was to target adjust the material through the theories readability, legibility and reading value, together with the method qualitative interviews. The result became a tested information booklet about how to read a lane pattern paper with additional information within the subject..

The aim of this Master?s thesis is to study the relations between internal information and the principal business objectives in a knowledge organization. The questions are: how does the organization behave to its internal information resources, how is the information management related to the principal objectives and strategies, what information policy does the organization develop, and how is the management experienced by the employees. The purpose was to study the supply and management of information designed for internal use and the study was carried out with qualitative, semi-structured interviews to get a picture of the internal information management. The informants were mostly key persons with deep knowledge of internal information.

Dövhet definieras olika inom olika discipliner. Enligt det medicinska perspektivet är dövhet en avvikelse som bör behandlas, medan det kulturella perspektivet ser döva som en språklig och kulturell minoritet. I Sverige har döva länge kämpat för att få teckenspråket erkänt som språk, undervisning på teckenspråk och rätt till fri tolkservice. I och med att detta erkänts som rättigheter har Sverige länge ansetts ligga i spetsen gällande dövas rättigheter. Samtidigt opereras så gott som alla döva barn i Sverige med cochleaimplantat som gör det möjligt att uppfatta ljud.
