This thesis focuses on politically active women within The Swedish Social Democratic Women?s Association, also known as S-women. By applying discourse analysis to interviews with active s-women and to meeting conversations between the association?s members, the study approaches ideas of feminism, feminist politics and political commitment. ?Solidarity? ? the central concept of the labour movement ? serves as the point of departure for a feminist discussion about class, gender, ethnicity and age/generation.

Detta examensarbete lyfter fram feminism i relation till socialt arbete. Mitt syfte var att se huruvida feminism är en del av den könsseparatistiska missbruksvården. Om könsseparatismen är feministisk samt om det finns en förändrigsträvan i arbetet. För att besvara mina frågeställningar har jag samlat in material samt genomfört tre temastrukturerade intervjuer. Mina informanter arbetar eller har arbetat inom den könsseparatistiska missbruksvården.

As the numbers of immigrants to Sweden and the EU are ever increasing even the right-wing populist parties grow faster in number. Sweden, Germany and France are three European countries that receive 90 percent of all asylum seekers and should therefore have a well-established and talked about immigration policy one can think. Yet the political parties in Sweden do not mention much about the immigration policy apart from the political party Sweden Democrats. This study aims to analyze eight different political parties in the Swedish parliament through a textual analysis to see what kind of immigration policy they share. Carl Dahlström has a theory to determine what type of policy a certain party has and whether they want to assimilate or integrate immigrants.

Uppsatsen fokuserar på fem utländska kvinnors tankar och erfarenheter kring feminism och jämlikhet. Genom att intervjua dessa kvinnor individuellt och praktisera på en kvinnoorganisation, försöker jag analysera kvinnornas förhållningssätt till den underordning som tilldelas dem av västerländsk feminism.Resultatet visar att kvinnorna alltid är tvungna att förhålla sig till dessa tillskrivna beskrivningar samt att detta även påverkar deras självbild. The purpose of this paper is to examine how four teachers treats and teaches aboutxenophobia and right-wing extremism. A further aim of this study is to investigate whetherthere are any differences in how a teacher at a vocational high school treat and teachabout xenophobia and right-wing extremism against the teacher at a preparatory school, theydo. To achieve my purpose I have used qualitative interviews of semi-structuredform.These interviews were done with two social studies teacher at a vocational high schooland two social studies teacher at a preparatory school.My results show that teachers all too often respond to xenophobic views directly into theclassroom by reasoning and discussions with students. In my resault is also evident thatthere is a big difference between the teachers at the schools how much time you devoteto xenophobia and right-wing extremism in teaching.The conclusions show that these differences largely depend on which group of students thatteachers have.The conclusions will also be that there are great similarities between the way teachers reasonabout how to deal with xenophobia and the means to do, they also are relatively similar..

Detta kandidatarbete utgår ifrån två stycken frågeställningar kopplade till feminism: ?Hur kan Simone de Beauvoirs feminism gestaltas i digitala spel?? och ?Vad finns det för typiska könsroller i dagens digitala spel??. För att svara på dess frågeställningar studerade vi de Beauvoirs bok ?Det Andra Könet?, utförde spelanalyser samt delade ut skriftliga intervjuer till spelare. Resultaten blev en prototyp till ett digitalt spel vars handling är en direkt inspiration ifrån utvalda kapitel från Simone De Beauvoirs bok ?Det Andra Könet?.

This essay focuses on men?s construction of feminism and gender and views on equality between the sexes. The purpose of the essay is met through interviews with eight men on their thoughts and constructions of these issues. The answers from the interviewed men were analysed with a radical feminist and gender perspective approach. This essay is about a debate concerning the magazine Axess, feminism and antifeminism - in relation to a issue of Axess called To a new feminism. The theoretical foundation of this essay is Pierre Bourdieu and his field theories. The battles taking place in this particular field concerns the positioning of feminism and antifeminism in the way we culturally interpret these in our society. The essay shows that the magazine Axess (at least in the first edition of 2012) links feminism with a very prominent symbolic capital in a culture context. This discussion can at times seem confusing, and this is probably due to the fact that Bourdieus symbolic capital can be a very abstract concept. The journalist and author Maria Sveland writes about the development of a culture moving towards accepting antifeminism (and also xenophobia). She expresses the opinion that this, to a high degree, is due to actors in the culture domain with a big amount of trust in the public eye has moved towards expressing anti-feministic (and xenophobic) views.

Undersökningen tar avstamp i den dominerande radikalfeministiska pornografianalysen och normer kring kvinnors sexualitet. Dess syfte är att undersöka hur feministiska porrkonsumerande kvinnor förhåller sig till pornografi. Undersökningsmaterialet har skapats genom fem samtalsintervjuer som fokuserar på feminism i relation till pornografi, normer kring kön och sexualitet samt pornografin, med inriktning på bransch, innehåll och konsekvenser. Utgångspunkten är teorier om heteronormativitet, feminism och en förståelse av porr som tal kring sex. Slutsatserna jag drar utifrån informanternas utsagor är de använder sig av olika feministiska förståelser i talet om pornografi.

The Sweden Democrats uses a term to describe a situation where ?swedes? are being discriminated against by other ethnic groups and where the elite is promoting this. The term ?svenskfientlighet? can be translated as ?swedofobia? and in this thesis a speech by the party leader Jimmie Åkesson held during the election campaign that solely was dedicated to this term is being analyzed with the help of tools developed by the scholar Ruth Wodak. Ruth Wodak has previously analyzed the rhetoric by other European right-wing-populist parties like FPÖ in Austria and has asked for other researchers to analyze the speech used by right-wing-populist and extremist parties to get a better understanding for just how these parties construct their different enemies.

Denna studie har analyserat fyra forumtrådar från det svenska Internetforumet Flashback Forum. Jag har specifikt valt att studera forumets underavdelning för diskussioner rörande feminism och jämställdhet. Jag har ? genom närläsning, diskursanalys och katalogisering av foruminläggen ? försökt att analysera och ?konstruera? de diskurser som dominerar denna forumavdelning, för att förstå hur skribenterna artikulerar tecken som ?feminism? och ?kroppen?. Mina slutsatser är att två diskurser tydligt dominerar på forumavdelningen.
