This is a case study that explores the ways in which implemented university reforms have affected employees in the higher educational sector. Previous research within the research field has mainly focused on policy related consequences of the reforms. This is why a study that brings attention to the ways the reforms have affected employees is sorely needed.The aim with the study is to examine whether there is a discrepancy between formal changes and the ways the employees experience them. The study is based on interviews with 8 lecturers from two universities and the material is analyzed mainly through sociological neo-institutional theories, such as Richard Scott?s theory of the three pillars within an informal institution and Helmke and Levintskys theory of the relationship between formal and informal institutions.The results show that there is a discrepancy between the formal changes and the ways employees perceive them.

I denna studie har fem personers egna redogörelser kring uppväxten i en familj med akademisk utbildning och hur detta kan ha påverkat den identitetsskapande processen och synen på utbildning undersökts. Detta har skett genom semistrukturerade intervjuer och resultatet har sedan analyserats utifrån Pierre Bourdieu och Richard Jenkins teorier och begrepp. Studiens teoretiska referensram är att identiteten förhandlas utifrån individens sociala omgivning i en ständigt pågående process. Resultatet indikerar att respondenterna själva anser att det finns en påverkan genom uppväxtmiljön som kan bero på föräldrarnas högre utbildningsnivå. Det framhålls av respondenterna att det är flera faktorer än uppväxtmiljön som spelar in i den identitetsskapande processen och synen på utbildning; främst betydelsen av nya relationer och situationer samt skolgången..

During springterm 2010 Erik Persson and Magnus Hansson performed their ThesisWork with DIAB Laholm, in Hallands County for University of Halmstad.The project has been a product development project without exterior customers. Thusit had a great emphasis on functionality and less emphasis on marketing and such.This reflects the ambition to develop machinery to be used within the productionfacilities of DIAB Laholm, not to be sold to exterior customers.Main objective has been to create machinery which enables the production ofrotational symmetric work pieces within a NC-milling machine with 5 axles. Thework pieces milled will be made of DIAB?s material Divyncell with varyingdensities.The project has followed Fredy Olssons method involving Principal ? Primary ?Manufacturing constructions. However a complete manufacturing construction hasnot been made since DIAB just wanted a good Primary construction which will serveas a base for finishing touches at DIAB.By the end of the project material including calculations has been sent to DIAB andthey will finish the work and manufacture the machine if they find economic viabilityin this.The work method has been suited for this by several reasons, it was created withthese projects in mind and it?s also the method most familiar to us..

The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to study, describe andimprove the understanding of voluntary driven libraries. How doesthe library staff view their role? How is the library operationworking in respect of economy, organization structure and systemsof rules? Research methods I used were semistructured interviewsand document research.The theoretical framework was based on Joacim Hansson´sdiscussion about libraries in a local community, Henning Bang´sdiscussion about organization culture and the Swedishgovernment´s non- profit advisory group`s discussion aboutvoluntary work.The results of this study shows that the library staff are enthusiastsmotivated by a wish to spread literature to people who find itdifficult to visit municipal libraries. Other motives for theirvoluntary work is the opportunity for being a part of a socialcommunity, to be surrounded by books and to activate body andsenses. The results of this study also shows that the voluntarylibrary system differ from the traditional, municipal library systemconcerning economy, organization structure and set of rules..

De två byggvarugrossisterna Bengtsson & Gedelius AB och Timber Trading AB ska i januari 2006 bilda Elof Hansson Bygg-Gross AB. I samband med sammanslagningen skall även affärssystemen sammanfogas. Syftet med examensarbetet är att, med tonvikt på informationsflöden, undersöka, beskriva och jämföra träpaketshanteringen på Bengtsson & Gedelius AB och Timber Trading AB. Undersökningen har resulterat i förbättringsförslag som kan vara till hjälp vid sammanslagningen av de två företagen. Jämförelsen av teori och nuläge resulterade i ett idealfall vilket i sin tur synliggjorde förändringsbehoven.

This study examines four short stories- ?Gudarnes like?, ?Vänner?, ?Lolo? and ?Kvinnor? - in a novel called Upptäckter written by Ulla Bjerne in 1918. My aim has been to study whether Bjerne in these stories writes from a New Woman- position. The New Woman novel as a genre flourished around the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century. I have also studied whether Bjerne in these short stories uses a melodramatic style.

Lyckebo farm is the original name of the four building big farm, where year 2000, the former farmer established Maglarp/ Lyckebo golfcourse on his land of culture. In 2007, new owners are approaching the Maglarps golfcourse with thoughts of expanding the business. A first step in that direction is to form the area of the entrance, the specific area the visitors are staying at before entering the actual golfcourse to play. The designproposal is inspired by the peasant garden history of southern Sweden during the nineteenth centuary. It also aims to satisfy the demands of function and usefullness of a golfcourse today.

During the last few years the western world has seen an increasing interest in the topic of atheism, with bestselling books by writers like Richard Dawkins, Sam Harris and Christopher Hitchens. The critic of religions that these writers have brought to the table have not gone unmet, with writers like Dinesh D'Souza rushing to the defence of Chrisianity.Taking on the arguments of New York Times bestselling author Dinesh D'Souza in the current debate on the existece of God and the usefullness of religion, I here examine the claim by D'Souza that atheism, in fact, is responsible for the worst mass murders of history. In taking D'Souza's arguments and analyzing them on its own philosophical merits, with methods like the process of elimination and information evaluation (i.e source criticism), I will here show just exactly how persuasive these arguments prove to be. In the following pages we will not only discuss the role of atheism in 20th centuary totalitarianism, but also answer questions like ?Was Hitler an atheist or a theist??, ?Is atheism responsible for the worst crimes of history?? and ?Are people who believe in God in fact more moral the those who do not??.

Utifrån en demografisk segmentering vill vi kunna ge en indikation till elektronikbutikerna på vilken marknadsföring de bör använda. Detta för att försöka hitta ett effektivt sätt att nå ut till den ökande kvinnliga målgruppen..Metod: Vi har använt oss av en kvantitativ metod vilket innebär att vi genomfört en enkätundersökning på 153 kvinnor. Slutdiskussion: Vi har i slutdiskussionen kommit fram till att den indikation vi vill ge aktörerna på teknikmarknaden är att dess kvinnomålgrupp är i behov av en segmentering.

Föräldrars inflytande i förskolan Vi har valt att skriva ett examensarbete där vi presenterar hur föräldrarna upplever sitt inflytande i förskolan. Syftet är att på ett trovärdigt sätt undersöka om föräldrarna är nöjda med inflytandet de har idag eller inom vilka områden de skulle vilja ha mer inflytande. Vi frågade också föräldrarna varför de valt den förskolan som deras barn går i idag. För att nå ett resultat började vi med att leta efter intressant forskning som kunde ligga till grund i vårt arbete och vi läste även annan litteratur. Efter det konstruerade vi en enkät som vi lämnade ut till föräldrarna på tre olika förskolor.
