Detta arbete behandlar hur några av ateismens främsta företrädare, Richard Dawkins och Christopher Hitchens, valt att angripa religion och religionens påverkan på politik, utbildning, vetenskap och den individuella människan. Deras angrepp bemöts av kristna apologeter, I detta fall Alister McGrath och Dinesh D'Souza. För att finna svaren på våra frågeställningar så har vi genomfört ett litteraturstudium av ateistisk litteratur samt av apologeternas svar på densamma. Vi har använt oss av den hermeneutiska forskningsmetoden, i vilken vi med hjälp av vår förförståelse har tolkat de olika sidornas ståndpunkter. Resultatet visar att när det gäller ateisterna, så anser dessa att religion är en icke bevisad, icke vetenskaplig och vidskeplig kvarleva från ett äldre system som möjligen hade sin plats som förklaringsmodell för bronsålderns människor, men att religion inte borde ha någon plats i dagens logiska och vetenskapligt grundade samhälle De ser religionen som en motsats till vetenskap.

The Library of Uppsala University has decided to change their classification system from the Swedish SAB system to the American Dewey Decimal Classification. One of the main reasons for this decison was that Kungliga biblioteket also has made an exchange between these systems. Due to that, the national bibliography of Sweden classifies Swedish documents according to Dewey Decimal Classification and the SAB system is no longer maintained. A transition to Dewey Decimal Classification will enable Swedish librarians to import foreign catalouge posts and classification codes and will provide them with a common standard between their libraries and other libraries due to the use of the same international classification system. It is disputed whether the Dewey Decimal Classification is equally suitable for all subjects.

The intention of the essay was to see what Web users? comprehension might be when watching four videos that are published on the Swedish Government?s Web site. One video contains an interview with Lena Hallengren, Minister for Youth Affairs of the Swedish Government, and in the other three Ulrica Messing, Minister for Communications and Regional Affairs of the same government, gives speeches about the governmental issues she is responsible for. The comprehensions that were examined are those concerning the forms of presentation of the videos, the ministers? appearances, the videos abilities to create and maintain the Web site visitors? interest, and the visitors? behaviours and conducts while being in contact with the Web site.

The focus of our study was to examine personal assistants and group home assistants experiences of stress at work, how they cope with stress and how it affects the relationship with the care recipient. The study is made out of a qualitative frame and based on interviews with two personal assistants and four group home assistants. Our theoretical perspectives consist of Aaron Antonovsky?s SOC theory, Richard Lazarus theory about coping and also sociologist Johan Asplund?s theory about social interaction. The result indicates that the experiences of stress are individual and varied among the participants while the presence of stress at work is a shared apprehension.

Vi har genomfört en kvalitativ studie med syfte att undersöka arbetsmotivationen hos personal på två korttidsboenden i en närliggande kommun till Göteborg. Korttidsboendena är till för ungdomar med neuropsykiatriska diagnoser med utåtagerande problematik. Det råder en tuff arbetsmiljö där hot och våld förekommer. I studien ställer vi oss frågor om personalen upplever sig motiverade i arbetet, vad som motiverar dem och om det finns faktorer som påverkar motivationen negativt.Empiri har samlats genom semi-strukturerade intervjuer med nio respondenter från de två korttidsboendena.Resultatet visar på att personalen upplever sig motiverade och att det finns sex faktorer som påverkar arbetsmotivationen bland personalen positivt, negativt och/eller båda och. Dessa faktorer är ekonomiska incitament, arbetsmiljö, arbetskamrater, att arbeta med människor, struktur och arbetsförhållanden.

Fem låtar från Richard Pages skiva Peculiar Life har analyserats med syfte att ta reda på vad det är som ger dem dess sound. Analyserna har gjorts genom läsning av bookleten till skivan, informationssökning på internet, genom att titta på videodagbok från inspelning av skivan och genom att lyssna på låtarna. Analyserna har delats upp i kategorierna skriven information, video, utrustning och låtanalyser. Analyserna har visat att alla led i produktionen har stor betydelse för slutresultatet. Informationen som samlats in har använts till att återskapa soundet genom att komponera, arrangera, producera, spela in och mixa fem egna låtar baserat på analyserna.

Denna studie tar upp betydelsen av arbetet för individen idag i det som brukar kallas för det senmoderna samhället, hur yrkesidentiteten formas samt hur viktig denna är för vem människan är inför sig själv och andra. Det teoretiska och begreppsliga ramverket utgår ifrån ett symboliskt interaktionistiskt perspektiv och innefattar teoretiska begrepp från Erving Goffmans teori om definitionen av situation och den bakre och främre regionen samt Richard Jenkins och John P Hewitts teorier om identitetsskapandet. Även begrepp som reflexivitet och individualisering från Anthony Giddens samt Thomas Scheffs teori om emotionerna skam och skuld tas upp i studien, vilket har hjälpt till och skapat en förståelse av det aktuella ämnet. Med den hermeneutiska metodansatsen som utgångspunkt har vi sökt efter en djupare förståelse av fenomenet. Detta genom intervjuer med tio personer från yrkeslivet som sedan tolkats och till slut visar på att arbetet utgör en stor och central roll i en individs liv samt dess betydelse för identitet/erna i sin helhet.

I Lindberg & Richard Svensson where they presented a hypothesis that the decline in trusting democracy within Swedish youth is a result of the deregulation of the education in Sweden. The aim of this study is to test this hypothesis and see if the declinne in democracy can be seen already before graduating from elementary school. Method: The method used in this study consist of a survey distributed to students at two elementary schools that differentiates in question of grades and social status. By comparing and analyzing the results of this survey with the claims of the hypothesis, former studies and Lipsets theory of the working-class authoritarism a conclusion is made of the hypothesis credibility. Result & Conclusions: The results showed that there may be a a difference trusting democracy between students with higher grades and those with lower grades.

Freedom of religion or belief is indisputable in Human rights discourse, more discussed is exactly what it is that is included in the concept of freedom of religion or belief (in Swedish: religionsfrihet). This thesis focuses on the freedom of religion or belief in a European context, in particular on the European court of human rights and article 9 in the European convention for human rights. Some criticism has been directed against the Court to the effect that its practice and verdicts don't answer to the pronounced desire to develop a pluralistic and inclusive form of freedom of religion or belief.My aim is to examine, analyse and test three different theories, which all try to develop alternatives to the expression freedom of religion or belief, in relation to six verdicts from article 9 in Europe convention. My basic purpose is to try to find new ways of talking about freedom of religion or belief that might lead to a more inclusive, pluralistic and equal interpretation of that concept.The three theories wich I use are elaborated by Richard Amesbury (associate professor at Claremont school of Theology); Hugo Strandberg (TD at Åbo Akademi) and Eberhard Herrmann (professor in philosophy of religion at Uppsala University); and Martha Nussbaum (professor of law and ethics at the University of Chicago). I have divided my main results into 4 categories, based on an earlier studyfrom Karin Redelius (2002). These categories include the following themes:1) Competition on the good and the bad2) The importance of winning3) Shake-out versus sports on children’s terms4) Instruction, play and learningThe main conclusions in this study show that leaders on the strategic level appreciate youthhockey in a very similar way.

Frågeställningen i detta arbete består av huruvida det föreligger en idéförskjutning inom ateismen med utgångspunkt från den kristendomskritik som främst anfördes av Ingemar Hedenius i mitten av 1900-talet. Med idéförskjutning hänvisar jag till en tydlig stark ateism ur ett kunskapsteoretiskt perspektiv. En sådan idéförskjutning skulle kunna vara att någon ny argumentation framkommit som ökar eller minskar sannolikheten för Guds existens, eller att man kommit fram till ny definition av ?säker kunskap?, som ur ett naturvetenskapligt perspektiv skulle kunna förändra begreppets betydelse. Jag har inom ramen för uppsatsen studerat några ledande aktuella debattörer genom litteraturstudier och belyst pågående debatt för att finna kärnan i deras argumentation.
