The purpose of this thesis is to examine how investments are justified in the Swedish data center industry, with a focus on cooling equipment. This is achieved through semi-structured interviews with 20 different interviewees. These interviewees represent different facets of the industry and facilitate an understanding of which factors, such as: investment costs, operating costs, reliability, environmental impact and the influence of external and internal actors, come into play and to which degree they impact the investment decision-making process. The results show that primarily low operating cost in the form of low energy consumption is the driving factor when it comes to the procurement of new equipment. A lower environmental impact is a positive side-effect of lower energy consumption.

Handling product returns has become a critical activity for organizations as the volume of gods flowing back through the supply chain rapidly increases. Few research studies have published specific empirical data concerning the reverse logistics practices of companies. Information technology and information support has long been recognized as a competitive weapon ? capable of enhancing company performance and achieving efficient reverse logistics. Reverse logistics is very unlike the forward, as it is more reactive and also has less visibility.

Tomarps Kungsgård är belägen nordost om Kvidinge, mellan Åstorp och Klippan i Skåne. Examensarbetet är ett resultat av samarbete mellan Statens Fastighetsverk (SFV), brukarna vid Tomarp och Kompetensområde 6, Landskapsarkitektur, planering, design och kulturarv, vid Sveriges Lantbruksuniversitet (SLU), Alnarp och är skrivet på D-nivå. Ämnet för examensarbetet är trädgårdshistoria, vilken beskrivs under perioden 1614-1658. Under denna period ägde riksrådet Owe Giedde (1594?1660) Tomarp och Skåne var danskt. Målet med examensarbetet sammanfaller med besvarandet av två frågeställningar: vad användes trädgården vid Tomarp till under 1600-talets mitt och andra hälft och vilket växtmaterial kan ha använts i trädgården.

Uppsatsen är en diakron undersökning av kvällstidningsingresser. In-gressen är den inledande, ofta fetstilta, delen av en tidningsartikel. Mitt syfte har varit att ta reda på om och i så fall hur denna del har förändrats över tiden.Som material har jag använt 80 ingresser från kvällstidningen Expres-sen. 20 ingresser vardera är hämtade från åren 1945, 1965, 1985 och 2005. För att få en spridning har jag tagit hälften av texterna från nöjes-artiklar och hälften från utrikesartiklar.

I denna undersökning har jag granskat de tre tal som kung Carl XVI Gustav, ärkebiskop K.G. Hammar och statsminister Göran Persson höll till minne av flodvågskatastrofens offer, i Stadshuset den 10 januari 2005. Av de tre talen var det främst kungens som satte spår i mitt med-vetande. Kungens tal hyllades också i pressen medan de andra talarna knappt nämndes.Undersökningens övergripande syfte blev därför att försöka utröna vad det är som gör att vissa tal berör och direkt fastnar i medvetandet medan andra glöms bort. Mer specifikt studerades detta genom att likheter och olikheter lyftes fram i de tre talen och i kontexten dessa hölls i.

Tomtmarkerna i urban bebyggelse blir allt mer attraktiva. En minskning avbyggnadsarean medger positiva ekonomiska effekter på markkostnaden dåtomtpriserna tenderar att bli allt högre i stadsmiljö. En stor del av totalkostnadenvid nyproduktionen av ett enbostadshus är tomtpriset. Framtidens enbostadshusbör utformas med ett begränsat tomtbehov samt uppfylla framtida energikrav. Examensarbetet har utförts i samarbete med småhustillverkaren Eksjöhus, vilkatill följd av de ökade markpriserna upplever en minskad efterfrågan förnyproduktion av småhus. Likt övriga hustillverkare står Eksjöhus också införuppfyllandet av framtida energikrav. Syftet med examensarbetet är att utforma framtidens enbostadshus, genom atteffektivisera tomtutnyttjandet och förbättra energiprestandan.

Den här uppsatsen belyser hur Tysklands förbundskansler, Angela Merkel, representerades i svenska och spanska nyhets- och opinionsartiklar på webben mellan datumen 3 januari 2011 och 29 december 2012. Merkel blev en allt viktigare politiker inom EU i och med eurokrisen som tog fart år 2008, då Tyskland var ett av de länder som gav mest pengar till de stödlån som EU utfärdade till bland annat Spanien. Idag anses Angela Merkel vara en av Europas viktigaste politiker, främst då Tyskland som ekonomisk stormakt inom EU har ett stort inflytande vad gäller beslutsfattanden i EU-frågor.Vi analyserade fyra tidningar med olika politisk bakgrund: Aftonbladet, Svenska Dagbladet, El País och ABC. Studien baserades på en kvantitativ innehållsanalys kombinerat med en kvalitativ textanalys. Den kvantitativa undersökningen fungerar som en översikt och belyser hur stor plats rapporteringen om Angela Merkel tar upp i svenska och spanska webbtidningar, under vilka kategorier artiklarna faller in samt vilken narrativ roll Merkel tillskrivs.
