For one month during the beginning of 2011, the world followed the violent events in Libya. During this time the United Nations was faced with a complex question, could they handle the ongoing violence and find a solution to the killings or would the hostile situation go on. We now know what happened, but not why. It is this question that this essay aims to answer. This essay covers the discussion of sovereignty on the one hand and humanitarian intervention on the other and Responsibility to protect in between.

This study is about female leadership. The purpose was to gain a better insight to qualities female managers in public sector assume they need to make an enjoyable leadership. We were also interested in finding out what they think is the joy and amusement in the leadership and how they consider Responsibility and authority. We used a qualitative method interviewing female leaders at their work. In our analysis of the data we have looked for pattern and key words in a qualitative way.

This study discloses the Responsibility of social work for the Swedish welfare state respective deacons in the Swedish protestant church, which roll the Swedish protestant church have in the existent welfare and also if deacons experience any expectations and how these expectations in that case are expressed.The aim of this study was to investigate the relationbetween deacons working within the Swedish protestant church and social work, as it appears for professional deacons. The method of investigating the questions raised by the aim of this study has been qualitative analysis of answers derived from six deacons working in different workplaces. The data derived from these interviews was then analysed through the theory of Gösta Esping-Andersen about welfare states and also through background research and earlier science research about the social work within the Swedish protestant church and other social work. The result of the study show that the welfare state in Sweden has the comprehensive Responsibility for the citizens. Deacons working within the Swedish protestant church does not have the same Responsibility.

This thesis focuses on how companies in the textile and clothing industry view or interpret the idea of corporate social Responsibility. The purpose of the study is to create an understanding for how this view affects the dissemination and the implementation of the idea in the organization and what might be the effects on the organization of those processes. In order to identify any differences in how the view affected the processes I have studied the current discourse on CSR simultaneously with my theory and conducted a comparative case study of two Swedish clothing brands. The theory focuses on the diffusion of ideas and change management within organizations. My data shows that the two companies have different ways of interpreting CSR and that this indeed affects their dissemination of the idea in the organization.

Those companies that have taken a stand in corporate social Responsibility and work with these issues often experience difficulties orienting themselves in these areas. There is a picture of how companies want to be in their CSR commitment on corporate websites and a different reality which is reflected in the media. These different images are not in harmony with each other.The purpose of this study is to revise the CSR work of Sweden?s largest clothing companies.To answer the problem of this study a qualitative method has been used. The choice to explore a few clothing companies resulted in a multi-case study.

The family and relatives caring of older people in Sweden lies on an old tradition. By legislation the Responsibility for the older people has gone through a development from the family to the society. According to the new social service law (2000) it is not that clear that the utmost Responsibility lies on the society. According to the social service law ( 5th chapter, 10 §) the municipality should ease things up by giving support and relief for relatives taking care of older people, prolonged ill and function disabled people. The purpose with the study was to examine how the family care givers are finding their everyday work and their experience of the support that the society is giving.

Syftet med studien är att undersöka hur elever berättar om läsning och   läsundervisning samt hur de berättar om sin delaktighet i arbetet med sin   läsning. Studien utgår från elevens perspektiv och från ett   specialpedagogiskt perspektiv.Studien har en kvalitativ ansats och utgår från den sociokulturella   synen på kunskap, att vi lär i gemensamma verksamheter genom att kommunicera   med andra. Datainsamlingen genomfördes med semistrukturerade intervjuer. Sammanlagt   åtta elever i år 2 till och med år 5 intervjuades.Resultaten visar på ansvarsfulla elever som berättar om nödvändigheten   i att kunna läsa och insikt om att läsförmåga och att leva i vårt samhälle   har ett samband. De är i det stora hela positiva till läsning och berättar om   flera positiva upplevelser som de får genom sin läsning men läsvanor och   elevernas erfarenhet av undervisning skiljer sig åt.

This essay concerns on how my novel The Teacher was influenced by the Masters course I completed in Creative Writing at Linnaeus University (2012 ? 2014). Basically, The Teacher is about a love affair between a teacher and a student. With an intertextual, comparative and structurally inspired method I examine the process of writing my text. I also examine how my work relates to the great changes of the Swedish school system in the early 1990:s: deregulation, decentralisation and management by objectives.

This is a comparative study examining one school with scheduled homework assistance andone school without homework help tuition. The study has investigated the use of the schoolbasedhomework assistance program at a grade school in a municipality outside of Stockholm.To what extent do the pupils use this resource, and what are their attitudes to it? Do theyregard it as a useful resource? What is the opinion of the teachers involved, do they findhomework tuition relevant and meaningful?The governing documents for the Swedish schools do not make the handing out of homeworkmandatory, and do not require that schools organize homework assistance. The emphasis inconnection with homework is that pupils should learn to take Responsibility for their ownstudies. There is, however, a commersial market for homework assistance, at prices that arenot accessible for most parents, and some municipal schools have stared programs forhomework tuition.

Begreppet CSR, Corporate Social Responsibility, har på senare årtionden blivit ett allt viktigare koncept för företag. För att företag ska kunna vara konkurrenskraftiga krävs det idag att man både tar sitt ansvar utifrån det ekonomiska perspektivet och det sociala perspektivet. I och med att begreppet har vuxit har fler och fler företag börjat använda sig utav CSR och börjat integrera det sin verksamhet.Bankerna ser sig själva idag som stora aktörer i samhällets påverkan att sträva framåt. Därför tar man sig an det samhällsansvar som man förväntas att ta av samhällets medborgare för att bankerna ska anses som goda bankaktörer. Detta är det som kännetecknar CSR, Corporate Social Responsibility, d.v.s.

Denna kandidatuppsats har i syfte att undersöka huruvida det går att identifiera avvikande aktieavkastning hos företag vilka erhåller ett förändrat betyg i Folksams Klimatindex mellan åren 2004 och 2005. Identifieras avvikande avkastning undersöks marknadens värdering av förbättrade respektive försämrade betyg. Signifikant avvikande avkastning identifierats i aktier hos företag som erhåller ett förändrat betyg i Folksams Klimatindex. Resultatet från eventstudien påvisar att betygsförändringar, oavsett karaktär, värderas negativt av marknaden. Att marknaden skulle värdera informationen om förbättrade respektive försämrade betyg på samma sätt strider mot teorin om Corporate Social Responsibility.

The collection of hazardous waste from the household around Swedish municipalities varies. 1% of the households waste is hazardous waste. It has hazardous features that can give bad consequences for the nature and human health if we don?t collect it and treat it. Therefore the law controls it, the municipalities have Responsibility for the household waste.

Syftet med denna studie a?r att underso?ka och analysera det arbete som Sveriges tre sto?rsta mobiloperato?rer, Telenor, TeliaSonera och Tele2 bedriver kring Corporate Social Responsibility. Studien a?mnar ocksa? underso?ka hur arbetet utvecklats under de tre senaste a?ren, samt hur detta fenomen kommuniceras. Genom detta o?nskar vi uppna? en ba?ttre helhetsbild och en djupare fo?rsta?else fo?r CSR, samt bidra med insikter, uppta?ckter och egna tolkningar kring a?mnet.Metod: Kvantitativ inneha?llsanalys av CSR-redovisningar. Av dessa tre studerade fo?retag kan vi urskilja vissa gemensamma trender bolagen emellan.

I studien har skillnader mellan fallföretagens arbete med CSR kunnat påvisas, och där några av dessa enligt oss är direkt hänförbara till ägarstrukturen. Utifrån dessa skillnader har vi formulerat fem hypoteser Dessa hypoteser innefattar att kraven på att statliga företag ska ta ett socialt ansvar är större än för privata och att konsekvenserna av att inte ta detta ansvar blir större för statliga företag. Vi fann även att statliga och privata företags totala sociala ansvar inte skiljer sig åt. Däremot påvisades skillnader i företagens sätt att arbeta med CSR-frågor då statliga företags CSR-arbete främst kännetecknas av att vara förebyggande, medan privata framförallt arbetar aktivt. Dessutom fann vi i studien att statliga företag tenderar att ha sitt CSR-arbete mer strategiskt integrerat i organisationen än privata företag..

The purpose of this study is to understand the knowledge of the school counselor and their room for manoeuvre regarding cyberbullying among students. We have used a qualitative method, which consists of eight semi-structured interviews with six middle school student counselors and two high school student counselors, in a middle-sized municipality in Sweden. Our study showed that the school counselors have limited knowledge about cyberbullying due to the fast development of the internet, and limited time in their work. The limited knowledge affects the school counselor?s way of work, and how they use their room for manoeuvre on cyberbullying.
