vuxnas läsning av skönlitteratur I became happier and wiser: young adults reading of fiction [123[upps-01.gif This Masters thesis explores young adults 18-26 years old, reading of fiction: their reading preferences, the meaning of reading and their access to literature. A study was made by way of a questionnaire, including 56 young adults, and seven qualitative interviews with two groups: one at a folk highschool and the other at a public library. The theories we have used to analyse the results are: theories of gender and youth, theories of literary genres, reader-response criticism, literature sociology and the theories of cultural sociology by the sociologist Pierre Bourdieu. In the analysis the results are compared to other studies of reading habits. Results from this study show that the young adults read fiction from several genres among popular- and quality literature.

We acknowledge the lack of empirical studies of the performance of analyst target prices in the Swedish stock market by examining the profitability of target prices for stocks publicly traded on the Stockholm Stock Exchange. We use consensus target prices issued between 2006-2010 and create two different strategies to observe the abnormal returns generated during this period. Going long in the top decile stocks with the best target prices and going short in the bottom decile stocks with the worst target prices generates a statistically significant abnormal buy-and-hold return of 8.9%. An active strategy with daily portfolio rebalancing and a timely response to target price changes generates a less significant monthly alpha of 1.4% against CAPM. The results show to be robust against the size effect discovered by Fama and French.

Syfte: Kartlägga sjukgymnasters val av metoder gällande undersökning och behandling vid anterior skulderledsinstabilitet för patienter i åldern 15-35 år samt skäl till vald behandling. Metod: En webbenkät skickades till 178 sjukgymnaster inom primärvård och privat, verksamma i Norr och Söder. Resultat: De främst tillämpade undersökningsmetoderna var apprehension test (89 %) och test av translation (87 %).

The acoustics in a control room is a complicated phenomenon. Early reflections, reverberation time and area in the room are some of the problems. This report is about the reflection on the mixing console in a control room. The control room being built, these reflections are difficult to take into consideration since the mixing console is one of the very last items you place in the room. This report will explain three main measurements that were done in order to get the answer to the following question: Does the mixing console interfere the frequency curve at listening position? Three measurements were done and the difference between the measurements was that the microphone and the loudspeakers were placed in different places in the control room.

I dag är övervikt och fetma ett stort samhällsproblem som kan leda till utveckling av följdsjukdomar som exempelvis diabetes och hjärt- och kärlsjukdomar. Övervikt och fetma förekommer i allt större utsträckning hos barn och ungdomar vilket ger anledning till att effektivisera insatser som görs för att förebygga problemen i tidig ålder. Studien omfattade 10 vetenskapliga artiklar som beskrev genomförda hälsointerventioner i skolmiljö riktade mot barn i syfte att minska förekomsten av övervikt och fetma. Syftet med litteraturstudien var att studera vilka pedagogiska arbetssätt som har använts samt undersöka om det gick att urskilja gemensamma faktorer i de olika hälsointerventionerna. Resultatet visade att majoriteten av interventionerna baserades på teoretiska modeller samt att gemensamma kategorier som gick att urskilja i interventionerna var olika former av lärande, teoretisk modell som utgångspunkt, socioekonomisk och etnisk betydelse för hälsa, könets betydelse för hälsa samt föräldrarnas inverkan.

Sexual dysfunctions concerning women with multiple sclerosis (MS) are common. Since the disease preferably affects young individuals when establishment of family occurs, the result of these problems have a great impact on the individual and her family. The purpose of this literature review is to throw light upon these problems and respond the questions if the nurse may be the right person to give sexual counselling and in which way this may be done. The theoretical framework was Antonovsky´s concept "sense of coherence". The result is presented in four themes: bodily aspects, social aspects, information/counselling, and practical implications for nurses.

Consumers are facing a wide selection of brands trying to get their attention. An increasing amount of corporations are incorporating non-traditional media in their marketing strategies as an attempt to build relationships with their customers. However, along with the new opportunities to enhance consumer emotions about the brand, social media has brought along new risks for corporations to face. This paper investigates the consequences of different ways of handling such electronic word-of-mouth (eWOM) crisis on Twitter. Furthermore, we investigate potential differences depending on the credibility of the source that sent the message.

Agitationstillstånd är mycket vanligt förekommande hos personer med demens och ger upphov till försämrad livskvalitet. Andra negativa konsekvenser är ökad användning av neuroleptika och ökad arbetsbelastning för personalen, som upplever att de inte har verktyg för att kunna förebygga agitation på ett effektivt sätt. Syftet med studien är att beskriva interventioner för att förebygga agitation hos personer med demens, för att göra detta användes metod för systematisk litteraturöversikt. Fyra databaser genomsöktes, Academic, Pubmed, Medline och Cinahl. Totalt inkluderades 19 artiklar i studien.

This essay examines how the meaning of an absurd play may be affected by how the reader understands the text. To address this problem I have turned to Wolfgang Isers theory of reception. Primarily I have taken on that the creation of meaning comes about when the reader fills in blanks in the text. I have also used Martin Esslins work on the theater of the absurd. I have mainly studied his research on Harold Pinter.

Steroid-responsive meningitis-arteritis (SRMA) is a common form of meningitis in dogs. The condition is immunopathological, but the etiology is not yet fully understood. The aim of this study was to compile facts about the disease from records of Swedish dogs. The owners were interviewed by telephone for follow up where it was possible. 15 dogs were included in the study. All of them were neurologically examined in the Small Animal Clinic at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences.

During the last decade, there has been an increase in the use of technology-based self-services within the retail sector. The increase is particularly noticeable within the grocery market. The reason behind the increased use of these systems is partially due to the fact that companies within highly competitive retail markets continually look for ways of decreasing costs while upholding efficiency. The problem is that it is difficult to understand the true economical implications of investments relating to these machines. The purpose of this study is to investigate and contribute with new insights regarding the cost-structures of the stationary self-checkout systems and traditional cashier desks, within the retail grocery market.

Arbetsteam har blivit en allt mer vanlig tillämpad organisationsform på dagens arbetsplatser. Att utforma bra metoder för att stödja arbetsgruppers utveckling är därför av stor vikt. Group Development Questionnaire (GDQ) är en metod framställd för att arbeta med grupper ur ett utvecklingsperspektiv. Denna studie utvärderar resultaten av GDQ-interventioner som genomförts på tolv svenska arbetsgrupper, i syfte att undersöka om positiva förändringar skett i grupperna. Resultaten visade inte på några större signifikanta förändringar i gruppernas fasutveckling.

Syftet med studien är att undersöka ett konsultföretags interventionsmodell för grupputveckling ur ett konsultperspektiv respektive kundperspektiv. Detta görs för att ta reda på vilka strategier som kan användas för att arbeta med grupputveckling och för att undersöka dessa strategiers upplevda resultat. Studiens teoretiska referensram består av forskning inom grupputveckling. Susan Wheelans teori om hur effektiva team skapas ses som en grund för studien, där hennes 10 nycklar till produktivitet utgör kriterier för vad som kännetecknar högpresterande arbetsgrupper. Studiens empiriska material består av intervjuer med konsulter på konsultföretaget samt kunder till dem.

Patients with heart failure have a high mortality and often readmits to hospital care, due to a lack of compliance in the treatment plan. Patient education on self-care provided by nurses is important in improving patient and clinical outcomes.The aim of this study was to describe effects of nurse led interventions of patient education for elderly patients with heart failure. Literature study based on nine quantitative scientific articles. The results shows that different nurse led interventions of patient education with patients with heart failure had positive effects on self-care management, quality of life, health related quality of life and hospital care. E-mail reminder to community nurses and telephone education shows to be the most effective patient education interventions.

Hysterektomi innebär att kvinnan genomgår en operation där hela eller delar av livmodern tas bort. Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att beskriva kvinnors upplevelser att genomgå en hysterektomi. För att få en djupare förståelse i detta ämne granskades totalt elva vetenskapliga artiklar som svarade mot studiens syfte. Dessa artiklar analyserades enligt en kvalitativ innehållsanalys med manifest ansats. Analysen resulterade i fyra slutkategorier: Att vara förändrad i sin kvinnlighet: Att förlora möjligheten att kunna bli gravid: Att få ett bättre liv: Att vilja vara delaktig i beslutet.
