In some cases there are no methods to identify raw material which are included in dietary supplements such as tablets. The identification can be done with TLC. The consumption and energy use in today's society contributes to the on-going climate change that creates a debt of life quality for future generations (www, DN, 2007, a). The resources that are used by humans exceed by far what is sustainable (www, Regeringen, 2007, a). The purpose of this paper is to examine how a message about energy conservation should be designed to reach youths. This will be attempted by showing their thoughts on energy and environmental issues and also what it would take for them to get more involved in these issues. The views of the youths are gained by a number of focus group-interviews, which where carried out in the fall of 2007, with kids in the ages 12 to 19. Apart from these interviews, interviews where also conducted with representatives from different youth organisations in Sweden, which gave their views on how to get a message across to kids.

The aim of our study is to explore the empowerment process among micro-business owners in Kayamandi, a black township of Stellenbosch in South Africa. What are the positive and negative implications for the empowerment process? Another aim is to find out the role of local and international support in this process. The theoretical framework of this study revolves around the concepts of gender, power and empowerment. Our methods are qualitative interviews and observations.

The study is based on a new approach on how Swedish healthcare is supposed to be controlled and organized. There is a renowned administration problem within Swedish healthcare, which seems to be an obstacle to exploit the resources to the fullest. The latest venture within the healthcare system is patient involvement, where the patients become co-producers of their own care, which aims to both improve and make healthcare more efficient. A few wards in Sweden have implemented this new approach whereupon the study intends to discuss the effectiveness and efficiency in some of these.The study is restricted to three wards, whereof two of these are inpatient wards and the other one is an outpatient ward, within the medical clinic in Jönköping County Council, which has implemented the patient involvement approach in their daily work. The methodology for this study is qualitative in its nature where a time study of personnel time allocation and supplementary interviews with managing nurses on the wards have been conducted.

This study looks at how probation, client experiences, and criminal policy decisions affect recidivism in Sweden. Gaining a thorough grasp of how social, organizational, and political issues interact and impact the chances of rehabilitation and reintegration is the goal. Three research questions are addressed in the study: First, what are the causes of recidivism? Second, how is probation perceived by staff and clients in terms of control and support? Thirdly, what effects do political decisions have on probation services' operations and clients' chances for recovery?? A qualitative study was conducted with semi-structured interviews with twelve respondents, eight probation clients, three probation officers and one parliamentary politician. There were six themes that discussed the issue of recidivism from different perspectives, the collected data was analyzed through thematic content analysis.

How schools handles threat and violence among pupils could have an effect on the surrounding world, since schools reflect society at large. This study attempts to explore how this is handled within two schools, one secondary school and one upper secondary school. How do the schools work with violence and threats amongst pupils? Who is responsible for what? Is this work based on school guidelines? Why/why not? The theoretical starting-points have been Lundquists implementation-based control-model and an organizational point-of-view using theories about open and closed systems, primarily Meyer and Rowans neo-institutionalism. In this pilot study, we have investigated what the two biggest newspapers Aftonbladet and Dagens Nyheter, and the two largest union affiliated journals Lärartidningen/Lärarnastidning and Skolvärlden has written about teachers in their professional roles, and investigated if and whether their reporting has changed over time. In the study, we have also examined what the newspapers and the union affiliated journals emphasize as status enhancing and status lowering factors for the Swedish teaching staff. We have furthermore analyzed our material through Leif Mathiassons theoretical framework in the anthology Uppdrag Lärare ?En antologi om status, yrkesskicklighet och framtidsdrömmar, in which he describes the creation of the image of the school as a medial and political construction. To reinforce Mathiassons theoretical framework we have also presented and used the agenda theory, the gestalt theory and the priming theory in our concluding discussion.

The aim of this research is to do a comparison between students? view of equality in secondary school and in gymnasium. The research begins with four focus groups, two on each grade to conduct material. The focus groups with girls and boys were separated from each other. With help from the researcher, acting as a moderator in the focus groups, the students have discussed advertisement and what message it convey.

En snabb överblick av räkenskapsmaterial från en samling svenska nötköttsproducenter uppsamlat i projektet Agribeef ger en bild av en näring med bristande lönsamhet. Den svenska nötköttsproduktionen generellt har lönsamhetsproblem.Inom ramen för projektet Agribeef har material samlats in från gårdar runtom i landet. Detta material utgör underlag för denna studie. Syftet med denna uppsats är att analysera detta material och söka efter enskilda lönsamhetsfaktorer som uppvisar korrelation med lönsamhet.Genom en korrelationsanalys jämfördes utvalda faktorer. Resultatet blev att det för ungnötsproducenterna visade sig vara kostnaden för byggnader som hade starkast samband med lönsamheten.

Detta examensarbete behandlar fenomenet att använda djurkroppar som material. Studiens syfte är att undersöka fenomenet döda djur och djurkroppar i konst, hantverk och design, och lyfta fram på vilket sätt döda djur används och hur användandet kan tolkas och förstås. Teorin belyser relationen djur och människa ur historiskt perspektiv, hur djur framställts inom konsten, samt den etiska aspekten. Metod och material består i en analys utifrån texter och medier, och en kvalitativ intervju med Märta Mattsson, som skapar smycken av främst insekter. Studien visar på att djur har varit symbol för många olika saker som mod, tapperhet, häxkonst och erotik.

The interviews were processed by content analysis.Results: Health professionals´ experience of giving advice on sleep was summarized in three themes. The experiences of giving advice in interaction with parents, health professional themselves experienced the power to influence the parents with the advice they gave, while the parents' previous experience and knowledge impacted on how the advice came into practice.

 I skolan används olika redskap i undervisningen, men hur skulle det vara om man kunde använda sig av ett material som var i stort sätt självrättande! Det syfte vi har för den här studien är att undersöka hur och om Montessorimaterial kan införas i skolan som ett hjälpmedel och extramaterial. Vi vill likaledes se hur materialen kan vara ett redskap att hjälpa eleverna i sin språk- och kunskapsutveckling. Denna studie etablerades genom observationer och loggboksskrivande, i två klasser på två olika skolor. Resultatet visar att det är möjligt att använda sig av Montessorimaterial, men att det krävs tid i början och att det då mest är ett extramaterial. Den slutsats som kan dras utifrån det data som vi har samlat är att materialet kan vara bra att använda och går att använda sig av i skolan.

Kalksten och råmjöl sliter kraftigt på allt det kommer i kontakt med. Råmjölet blästrar och kalkstenen gnider sig in i och slår mot materialet i råkvarnskrets 8 vid Cementa AB:s anläggning i Slite. Underhållskostnaderna är stora för råkvarnskrets 8 och i denna rapport utreds möjligheterna att göra besparingar genom ett nytt materialval. Vid valet av material tas hänsyn till nötningsbeständighet, pris och livslängd hos både material och maskin. Nötningsbeständigheten beror av duktilitet, hårdhet, dämpningsförmåga, med mera.
