The purpose of this master´s thesis is to examine how the cultural exchange function of Swedish libraries may be perceived on their websites. A further intention is to examine how the library websites are used at the present. Two quantitative web-based surveys have been sent out to a great number of Swedish public libraries. The first survey was directed to the webmasters of the libraries, in order to review the different services offered by the Swedish library websites of today. The second survey was conducted with library directors, in order to visualise what services they consider ought to be present on their own library website.

I denna studie undersöks chefers uppfattning om vad som attraherar, behåller och utvecklar dem med deras arbete. Syftet är att analysera deras uppfattning av IKEA som arbetsgivarvarumärke samt se hur uppfattningen förändras under deras anställningstid. Bakgrunden till studien baseras på samspelet mellan individ och organisation samt forskning om begreppet arbetsgivarvarumärke. Studien genomförs med en kvalitativ metod och en konstruktionistisk ontologisk utgångspunkt. Empiri samlades in genom sex semistrukturerade intervjuer med chefer på IKEA Jönköping.

Bakgrund: Internationell forskning visar på problematik kring smärtlindring av patienter med opiatberoende. Det framkommer att otillräckliga doser analgetika administreras till denna patientgrupp och att vårdpersonal saknar kunskap gällande smärtlindring av patienter med opiatberoende. Forskning visar även att vårdpersonal kan ha en negativ inställning till drogberoende patienter och ofta misstror deras motiv gällande förfrågan om analgetika. Vidare visar forskningen att denna patientgrupp upplever sig få en sämre vård än patienter utan drogberoende.Syfte: Studiens syfte var att belysa faktorer som har inverkan på smärtlindringen av patienter med opiatberoende på en beroendeavdelning.Metod: Empirisk studie med deskriptiv kvalitativ ansats baserad på strukturerade intervjuer med fyra sjuksköterskor verksamma vid en beroendeavdelning i en svensk storstad. Data analyserades genom manifest innehållsanalys.Resultat: Under analysen utkristalliserades tre kategorier och elva underkategorier, vilka beskriver faktorer som har inverkan på smärtlindringen av patienter med opiatberoende: (I) Förhållningssätt omfattar (1) Att inte döma och (2) Bemötande.

Health care costs in relation to GDP are escalating all over Europe and the Swedish health care industry is not an exception. Between 30 and 50 percent of resources used in health care are considered waste, in the sense that they don't contribute to increased health. This illustrates the big need for hospitals to become more efficient which is why many hospitals today are trying to move towards a process-oriented organization. This paper therefore aims to identify the elements necessary for this type of organizational change, the barriers encountered when moving from a functional to process oriented hospital as well as how to overcome them. The case study was conducted at Karolinska Universitetssjukhuset and shows the importance of not just transmitting a sense of urgency but also communicating that the upcoming change is long term.

Every day readers of magazines receive advice on how their life is expected to be. Magazines write about what to wear, who you should be dating and where you should work. People are social beings and are affected on what they read, hear and see. In that way media is one of the main channels which defines people and draws examples on for example how a "normal" woman should be.This essay dealt with several questions: how women are described in Swedish women magazine Cosmopolitan and men ?s magazine Slitz and how they are differ from each other.

The purpose of this study is to examine the view of Swedish language teachers on the role of fiction and of school libraries within the compulsory school?s teaching of Swedish of form 6-9. The questions to be answered are:? What part do Swedish language teachers (hereafter called teachers) think fiction is playing regarding the pupils inclination to read and reading promotion?? What is the attitude of teachers regarding the function of fiction in the Swedish subject?? What do teachers consider being the role of the school library in education, and can this be related to the local school library resources?To answer the questions a questionnaire was sent out to thirty-five teachers. Four qualitative interviews were also carried out among the fourteen teachers that answered the questionnaire.

Metod/Method: Semistrukturerade intervjuer har genomförts med kommunchefen, personalchefen, fyra medarbetare och en facklig representant i Sala kommun. Materialet från intervjuerna analyserades sedan bland annat med hjälp av två av Morgans organisationsmetaforer, Kotters 8 steg, agil projektledning och Derbys tidigare forskning inom området./ Semi-structured interviews have been conducted with the local head of government, the human resource manager, four employees and a union member in Sala kommun. The material from the interviews was then analyzed with help from Morgans organizational metaphors, Kotters 8 step, agile project management and Derbys earlier research on the area. Slutsatser/Results: En organisationsförändring enligt agil projektledning innebar att de teoretiska rekommendationerna för hur en organisationsförändring ska genomföras följdes. Att personalen gjordes delaktig i förändringen gjorde att motståndet mot organisationsförändringen kunde minimeras vilket var den största fördelen.

Background and Problem definition: Atypical employment is something that has becomeincreasingly common in recent decades, these are defined as positions where no relationship is of thetraditional type in which the employee has a long term relationship with the employer and where hecarries out his work at the premises of the employer. These atypical employments can take variousforms, it can be fixed term contracts, project work or jobs in employment agencies and so on. Thestaffing sector in Sweden has grown rapidly since the 90s, and since international research shows thatthe three-way relationship arising from the use of staffing agencies may lead to challenges in differentparts of HRM, we have chosen to study this topic.Aim: The purpose of this paper is to describe and understand how HRM is handled in atypicalemployment relationships.Method: The epistemological starting point for this work is hermeneutics, as a result of this theresearch approach is qualitative and inspired by abduction. The authors have chosen to carry out thework as a case study of three primary cases, each one consisting of an employment agency, a clientorganization and an employee. The analysis is based on the hermeneutics principles of interpretationand concentration of meaning.Results: What emerged as central to how HRM is handled are the interdependencies that existbetween the business environment and the strategies of the firm, how they affect different parts ofHRM and how participation and liminality have an impact on the three-way relationship.Keywords: HRM, atypical employment, staffing agencies, three-way relationship and strategy..

Från skillnad till 1950-talets hemsamariter som spenderade hela sin arbetstid hos de gamla är dagens vårdbiträdes arbete allt mer styrt av detaljerade arbetsscheman. I samband med 1990-talets höga krav på effektivisering inom omsorgen ersätts den manuella planeringen med IT - planering i allt fler hemtjänstverksamheter. Alla dessa förändringar har betydelse för vårdbiträdenas arbetstillfredsställelse. Syfte med denna studie var att jämföra två olika hemtjänstgrupper där den ena hemtjänstgruppen planerade arbetet manuellt och den andra hemtjänstgruppen planerade arbetet med hjälp av ett datasystem. Undersökningen skulle visa hur olika former av arbetsplanering påverkade vårdbiträdenas arbetstillfredsställelse: vårdbiträdenas ansvar för arbetet och deras självbestämmande/inflytande över det vardagliga arbetet.

The energy sector of modern time is currently faced with several challenges. These are both production oriented and environmental oriented in nature. The energy of the future is intended to support an increasing demand while at the same time reduce its environmental affection. This stresses a development towards production methods of renewable energy. Among the existing methods, biogas is presented as an attractive alternative.

Syftet med min studie har varit att få insyn i hur förskollärare verksamma i ett högresursområde reflekterar kring föräldrars inflytande i förskoleverksamheten. Jag har velat få syn på hur det blir i de sammanhang där förskollärarna är de som i förhållande till utbildning och lön har lägre status än föräldrarna. Vems ord väger då tyngst och vem har makten över den pedagogiska verksamheten? Empirin utgår från intervjuer med åtta stycken förskollärare verksamma på en förskola i ett högresursområde. För att få syn på ett djupare resonemang hos informanterna har metoden kvalitativa intervjuer använts.

I min studie presenterar och analyserar jag resultat av hur ledande och ansvariga företagsledare inom HRM (Human Resource Management) ser på företagets arbete med kompetensutveckling. Det handlar också om hur kompetensstrategier kan samverka med affärsstrategier i praktiken. Undersökningen baseras på tre intervjuer med respondenter från tre skilda branscher. De representerar konfektionsindustri, telecom- och mejeribranschen. Den pedagogiska infallsvinkeln representeras av mina egna erfarenheter och det styrdokument som min nuvarande arbetsgivare använder sig av.

This essay examines teaching in source criticism in upper secondary school history education. Two questions are to be answered: 1. What are the conditions like for teaching source criticism? 2. What opportunities for further development in teaching source criticism are there? In order to set a standard for what knowledge and skills in source criticism the students need, I design a four step model for good source criticism based on the historical science.

This study centres on the question of how interfaith dialogue can function as a meeting place for young people from different social and cultural backgrounds. The study is based on qualitative interviews with five young participants in an interfaith project taking place in Sweden in 2013 and 2014. For reading the material through a lens of late modern religiosity, Heelas and Woodheads thesis of a spiritual revolution was used. To be able to conclude whether the religiousness of the participants functions as a social resource, Hammack and Cohlers term narrative engagement is used. Lastly Knitters models of theologies of religions was used in the analysis of how the participants reads and understands their own and the others faiths.The study shows that the participants meet in the common aim of defining a religious identity in a late modern and pluralistic society.

Roseroot (R. rosea L.) has gained more attention the last years, mainly because of its phy-topharmacologic properties. Even though many reports in roseroot have been published, only a few articles are dealt with the genetic diversity. The Nordic Genetic Resource Center has collected Roseroot material from Sweden, Greenland and Faroe Islands under different expeditions. The samples were analysed to study the genetic diversity study.
