A helicopter based system equipped with a millimetre-wave fire control radar is studied for improvement of the detection probability for moving ground targets. The system is a pulse doppler radar that sends out the electromagnetic wave in repetitive pulses. The frequency in which radar sends this pulse is called Pulse Repetition Frequency (PRF). The velocity of the moving targets is measured by spectral analysis of the pulses received. With this sort of system some targets will not be possible to detect.

It is important that the language in textbooks for foreign language learners reflects the language that the learners would encounter in real life. For this reason, the presence of the thousand most common nouns in two Swedish textbooks in Spanish for upper secondary school is observed in this study. Furthermore, this study aims to examine how these nouns occur in order to determine if their pattern of occurence favours the learning and consolidation of words. The main materials that have been used are A Frequency Dictionary of Spanish by Davies (2006) and the word search program available in the digital versions of the textbooks. The results show that the presence of the thousand most common Spanish nouns does reflect the frequency information presented in the frequency dictionary but not all thousand nouns are included.

?Repetition är kunskapens moder ? en studie om hur två arbetslag på olika skolor arbetar med läs- och skrivinlärningsmaterial i år 1?, ett examensarbete skrivit av Josefine Bäckström och Elisabeth Meijer. Vi har redogjort för tidigare forskning som berör lärobokens auktoritet och vilken betydelse lärarens personliga och pedagogiska roll har för undervisning. Teorier från Vygotskij lyfts i studien, att det är eleven själv som ska lära sig att läsa och skriva, men hon behöver inspiration, motivation och uppmuntran på vägen. Studien är baserad på kvalitativ forskningsmetod genom insamling av intervjuer och observationer som har resulterat i en redogörelse för de material arbetslagen använder.

The objective of this paper ? Trusting the reader: On impressionistic narrating in Stig Claesson's writings with the novel Brev till en hembygdsgård as starting point ? is to examine narrative techniques used by the Swedish author Stig Claesson, specifically some which fall within the broad field known as literary impressionism: e.g. omission, Repetition, juxtaposition, episodic narration and how access to the narrator?s as well as individual characters' consciousness is handled.The method used for the study will be that of illustrative comparison. The analysis will seek its theoretical grounds in the works by Gerard Genette and Jonathan Culler.

En central tanke med skolgången är att någon form av kunskapsprogression kontinuerligt ska äga rum. Kunskapsprogression ska genomsyra alla skolämnen och kunskapsprogression ska dessutom följa över stadieövergångar. I uppsatsen ställs frågan huruvida någon sådan kunskapsprogression sker mellan grundskolans senare år och gymnasieskolan inom ett specifikt skolämne, nämligen religionskunskapen. För att få svar på frågeställningen har material samlats utifrån tre olika datakällor, nämligen intervjuer, examinationer och läroböcker. Datakällorna har samlats in från tre religionslärare som undervisar på grundskolans senare år och tre religionslärare som undervisar i religionskunskap A på gymnasieskolan.

J.O. Mallander?s Extended Play (1968) is a sound recording, a readymade, of the counting of votes in two presidential elections in Finland, during 1962 and 1968. A voice repeats monotonously: ?Kekkonen, Kekkonen, Kekkonen, Kekkonen, Kekkonen?? Although the Finnish president Urho Kekkonen represents, almost personifies, the politics of the post World War II period in Finland, Extended Play does not explicitly address the political. Rather, as this essay argues, it engages in the discourses of power and politics by providing a temporalization of its fixedness, or what Jacques Derrida terms the proper.Extended Play is, in parallel with Derrida?s critique of western metaphysics, a deconstruction in sound that challenges the state ideologies conveyed in the process of the counting of votes, where the presuppositions of the presence of the voice characterizes the ambiguities of power that Kekkonen?s politics of neutrality represent.Mallander?s readymade emerges as a double of the game theory strategies of the Cold War, a mimetic surplus of the administrative control mechanisms of sound recording.

För att en elev ska börja på ett nationellt gymnasieprogram krävs att hon/han har godkända betyg i tre ämnen från grundskolan och ett av dessa ämnen är matematik. Men godkända elever i matematik från åk 9 visar sig ha stora svårigheter med kurs A på gymnasiets yrkesförberedande program.Syftet med den här studien är att belysa vilka skillnader som finns i den matematik som lärs på grundskolans högstadium och gymnasiets kurs Matematik A med avseende på de kunskapsmål som ska uppnås. Är dessa skillnader stora eller kommer kursen matematik A vara en Repetition av tidigare matematik för de elever som går på yrkesförberedande programmen? Som ett annat syfte söker jag svar på frågan om elevernas svårigheter med att uppnå godkänt betyg i matematik A kan härröras till dessa skillnader.Undersökningen har gjorts genom sammanställning av kursplanerna i matematik för grundskolan år 9 och kurs A för gymnasieskolan samt kartläggning av det matematiska innehållet i de vanliga läroböckerna på två skolor. Därefter har jag gjort en kvalitativ undersökning genom intervjuer av fyra lärare på de två skolorna.

This study is a thesis project for the program Civilingenjör och Lärare at KTH. The study was conducted in spring 2014 in collaboration with Komplementskolan AB which has developed the educational material Studi.se, the focal point of this study.The overall aim of the study is to increase the knowledge of the participant teachers? conception and use of the educational material Studi.se. The second purpose is to increase knowledge about the forms of use some of these teachers apply or claim to apply when using Studi.se. Theoretical framework used is constructivism and the notions of Piaget: adaptation, assimilation and accommodation.

Taket utgör en stor del av hur vi upplever ett rum men är ofta en bortglömd del av det - ett trassel av ventilationsrör och eldragningar eller täckt av vita ljudabsorberande plattor. Syftet med projektet är att med textila experiment hitta vägar att utnyttja taket och på så vis ge rummet en ny karaktär.Resultatet av mitt arbete  är en textil där en geometrisk form i upprepning blir något  väldigt komplext och organiskt. Textilen kan i detta projekt användas rumsligt, för att skapa form och drapera rum. .

The essay seeks to clarify some of the decisive but often obscured issues in the famous debate between Jacques Derrida and Jonn F. Searle. The debate commenced in 1977 with the publication in Glyph of Derrida?s lecture Signature Event Context from -71, followed by Searle?s Reiterating the Differences. A Reply to Derrida and subsequently Derrida?s reply Limited Inc a b c ? which encouraged Searle to renew his criticism.

The residential area Pennygången in Gothenburg is planned to be restored in a very expensiveway. As a consequence the rents will increase dramatically and about 80% of the peopleliving there today will have to move. Excisting social networks might be disrupted.The aim of this project is to illustrate a part of the present social network at Pennygången inthe form of a photobook.I have photographed 12 families in their homes. These families know each other in 36different ways. The final photobook illustrates all these friendships by presenting the familiesknowing each other in pairs..

Aphasia is a linguistic impairment which affects communication and may have an impact on a person?s narrative ability. The purpose of the present study was to analyse the narrative ability in aphasia by narrative interviews with people with aphasia and their partners. The interviews were scrutinised for strategies used in joint narration involving couples where one of the spouses has aphasia. The definition of strategies was methods to cope with communicative difficulties often due to aphasia.

Vid flertalet studier har det framkommit att ordförrådets storlek och förmågan till nonordsRepetition påvisar samband med nyordsinlärning. De prosodiska egenskapernas inverkan vid nyordsinlärning är emellertid inte lika studerad. Syftet med föreliggande studie var att undersöka hur barn mellan 4:5 och 6:0 år med typisk språkutveckling presterar på nyordsinlärning i relation till ordförråd och Repetition av nonord samt att utforska vilken inverkan prosodiska egenskaper har på förmågan till nyordsinlärning. I studien deltog 15 barn vilkas resultat på nyorden, ordförrådstestningen och nonordsRepetitionen uträknades. Nyordsinlärningsuppgiften bestod av sex ord vilka sammankopplades med sex olika föremål.

The aim of this thesis is to use Gabriel Tardes theories concerning imitation, Repetition and the public opinion as a way of understanding how transmedial communication develops over time. This involves a study of social media, traditional press and public organizations in relation to each other. The campaign, What are you doing? (Vad håller du på med?, 2013), launched by the Swedish military as a way of drafting more soldiers, is used as an example of how the theories can be applied to help us understand connections, patterns and social behavior in the rapid mutation and viral spreading of information. By discussing the campaign and its effects, the ambition is to give an understanding of how a campaign of this scale could be planned for and structured.

Detta är ett möbelprojekt för offentliga utomhusmiljöer, där moduler sträcker sig i olika riktningar och bildar rum i rummet.Formen på modulerna, och på möbeln som helhet, bygger på abstrakta modeller av olika platser i staden i kombination med, för mig, centrala begrepp som skala, Repetition och mängd.Jag vill visa exempel på hur man kan arbeta med möbler i offentlig miljö, samt utveckla en väl fungerande möbel som skapar stimulerande mötesplatser i staden..
