In the essay the author examines how pilgrimage can be used as a tool to radicalise democracy in a late modern society marked by neoliberalism. Applying a dialectic perspective on social movements the essay puts forward how the pilgrimage movement Pilgrim?s Walk for Future, administrated by Church of Sweden, is working in line with the historical pilgrimage theology - a modern critical ecclesiology- to mobilise political action to prevent climate change. The result of the study shows how PWFF meet the neoliberal hegemony with a mobilisation of alternative values beyond the order of capitalism, in line with Christian theology and tradition. The mobilisation is made possible by new forms of identifications with oneself and the social world that meet a modern power/knowledge- regime based on rational thought, and which questions norms and practises by paying attention to their negative effects on nature and on human life in general.

På 1800-talet var fattigvårdslagstiftningen uppdelad i en obligatorisk och en frivillig del och så är det fortfarande. I denna uppsats är det paragrafen i nutida lagstiftning om socialbidrag, som kan jämföras med den frivilliga delen från 1800-talet, som ställs i fokus.Syftet har varit att undersöka vad paragrafen används till, om där är någon variation gällande demografiska variabler eller ändamål, och vilka riktlinjer kommunerna ger till beslutsfattarna.Urvalet av kommuner till undersökningen av bifall till bistånd uppgår till fem kommuner. När det gäller riktlinjerna som ges till beslutsfattarna, har jag samlat information från 47 kommuner i varierande kommungrupper över hela landet. De blev utvalda av praktiska skäl efter vilka som hade publicerat sina riktlinjer på internet.Resultatet av denna studie är att användningen av paragrafen inte är så omfattande och det finns indikation på att det finns en större variation när det gäller riktlinjerna för beslutsfattare. Studien gav även en indikation på att det finns problem i det svenska samhället när det kommer till att få tillgång till ett ställe att vara på, både när man lever och när man dör..

The purpose of this study is to examine whether personality traits, self-esteem, performance-based self-esteem and demographic data relate to, and can explain the variation in psychological ill-health among students at Lund University. A questionnaire was distributed to students attending the Psychology program, Bio-technology program, Theologian program and Law program. There were 247 respondents to the questionnaire, mainly attending their second or third semester. General Health Questionnaire (GHQ-12), Rosenberg's Self- Esteem scale, Hallstens scale measuring performance-based self-esteem, questions relating to demographic data and a short version of the personality inventory scale Big Five were included in the questionnaire. Positive correlations were found between psychological ill-health and the variables neuroticism and performance-based self-esteem.

Horseracing is frequently referred to as the engine behind all horse activity in Sweden and it can be divided in to two main branches: harness racing and thoroughbred racing (HNS, 2008). Jump racing is a part of the thoroughbred racing and the jump racing is characterised by jumps on the racing track. Jump racing has been a part of the Swedish horseracing for over hundred years, but it has in recent years suffered from low economic profitability and been threatened by discontinuance (ATG & SG, 2008). Svensk Galopp, who is governing the horseracing in Sweden, has decided to increase the importance of jump racing. Studier visar att resultaten i matematik för flerspråkiga elever är sämre än de för elever med svensk bakgrund. Därför syftar studien till att ge exempel på hur några flerspråkiga elever i årskurs 5 fullgör och upplever olika typer av matematikuppgifter. Tre fallstudier utförs ur barns perspektiv med 12 elever från tre skolor. Genom att kombinera intervjuer, observationer och ett experimentellt inslag så blir det möjligt att urskilja eventuella likheter och skillnader mellan de olika skolorna.I studien framkommer inga skillnader mellan skolorna. Eleverna arbetar till övervägande del i sin matematikbok under lektionerna.

Even though terrorism has been on the political agenda for several years there is no general accepted definition of the phenomena of terrorism. This essay focuses on the implementation of the strategy gender mainstreaming in the European Union and the member states. It starts to identify problems connected to the implementation process and recognizes significant prerequisites for an efficient implementation of the strategy. The main problems and prerequisites are: political will, governance and structure and knowledge about gender equality. The empirical material consists of reports from the EU that touches upon gender mainstreaming and gender equality. The problems and prerequisites will be analysed in relation to the governance perspectives top-down and bottom-up and expert bureaucratic and participative democratic and gender and feminism.

ObjectiveThe aim of this study was to explore nurses' experiences of informing relatives to critically ill patients in the intensive care unit (ICU).MethodThe study was descriptive with a qualitative approach. Nine nurses were interviewed. The study took place in a university hospital in the midst of Sweden. An interview guide was used, designed in consensus with the study questions. Data was analyzed via qualitative content analysis.FindingsMeeting and preparing relatives at the arrival at the ICU seemed valuable and led to safety and participation among relatives.
