This paper deals with how people use public libraries. An attempt is made to distinguishbetween different user groups on the basis of how they use the library. The roles of thelibrary in relation to its users are also discussed.The paper is based on a user study with the cooperation of 195 users. The user studywas carried out at the Public Library of Alingsås 1994. As material for comparisonsimilar studies from Sweden, but even from Denmark, have been used.

Syftet med denna rapport har varit att undersöka om det föreligger några skillnader mellan 5-åriga och 8-åriga barns sätt att minnas detaljer, antingen med hjälp av mentala bilder eller rent verbalt. Som metod användes kognitiv intervjuteknik (KI) och ostrukturerad intervjuteknik (OI). Barnen fick tillsammans se två korta sketcher från en film med Herr Gunnar Papphammar. Femton minuter senare intervjuades barnen antingen med den kognitiva intervjutekniken eller med den ostrukturerade. Resultatet visade endast en signifikant skillnad när det gäller barnens ålder och hågkomna detaljer.

Västerås är en stad som tidigare har förknippats med gurkor och industrier då ASEA, nuvarande ABB etablerades i Västerås 1883. Staden är idag relativt okänd för externa gäster, det är något som Västerås marknadsföringsorgan Västerås & Co vill ändra på. Arbetets syfte är att undersöka vad en värdskapssatsning kan ge för effekter på turismen och näringslivet i Västerås samt undersöka möjligheten att värdskapscertifiera de olika verksamheterna i Västerås. Litteraturstudier, intervjuer samt deltagande observationer har använts som metod. Teoriavsnittet tar upp värdskapsbegreppet samt samarbeten inom organisationen för att sedan kunna jämföras med resultatet från intervjuerna och de deltagande observationerna.

Denna rapport är ett examensarbete av mig, Per Johansson, och beskriver det företag och den arbetsplats som jag tillbringat min verksamhetsförlagda utbildning (VFU) på. I examensarbetet ingår det att ta upp ett problem och presentera en eventuell lösning på problemet.Jag hittade inte något specifikt prroblem att skriva om på den arbetsplats jag varit på utan jag har försökt att beskriva vad vissa personer inom arbetsledning på bygg och anläggningsföretag ofta upplever som ett problem angående hur projekteringen fungerar. Efter att jag intervjuat ett antal personer på flera olika företag så visade det sig att de flesta tycker att det saknas praktisk kompetens i vissa projekt när man projekterar. Det leder till att de både kan vara svårt att utföra projekten ur ett arbetsmiljöperspektiv och även rent byggtekniskt. Detta är olika beroende vad det rör sig om för typ av projekt.

This exploratory thesis uses qualitative research to investigate how digital music is beeing packaged. The main study consists of 11 deep interviews with key representatives of the digital music industry in Sweden. These are (record companies) EMI, SonyBMG, Universal, Warner, (DSP) InProdicon, (mobile operators) 3, TeliaSonera and (cell phone producer) SonyEricsson. Packaging is a concept of marketing that has specific implications depending on which good or service that is being packaged. Packaging occurs at diffeRent levels in the production chain.

This report is a study in voltagelevel in connection with regeneration of brake energy from the tramtype M31 in Gothenburg.In the act of braking, the tram M31 uses electrical braking where the electrical motors generates energy and if possible send it back to the overheadline, where other trams in the nearby can use this regenerated energy for its own driving force. In cases where no other energyconsumers are located in the same section, there is a resistance witch task is to convert this energy into heat. The regulation of this resistance appears to cause an increase in the voltagelevel into far too high levels.Investigations of the trams regulationequipment and its construction have been done. Further have measurements on the overheadline been performed in order to map the voltagevariations during a longer period of time.The result have been showing that the voltagelevel during regeneration often is as high as 880V-920V, more extreme values have not been observed in a large scale. The values are especially high compared to the nominal voltagelevel.

The dissertation deals with an account of actual problem, which can arise within EMC and power quality. The cause of power interruption and what can be done to minimise the power interruption is discussed. It also includes a definition of planning levels and which factors one needs to have control over to carry out a possible planning strategy and how the local distributions net could be more secure. The electrical net could be secure but no system can be free from interruption.The dissertation examines two distribution transformers: GLA40T1 (Glansås) and T399 in Tranås Energy which don?t have regulators.

Abstract  The importance of the co-occurrence of callous-unemotional traits and impulsivity concerning aggressive acts was examined by a survey. The participants consisted of 1478 Swedish youth. Three groups with extreme scores on callous-unemotional traits and impulsivity was identified.  The group scored high on both was more prone to show higher levels of aggressive and conduct problems behavior compare to the other groups. The aggressive and conduct problem behavior was shown at higher level in all examine variables. This study highlight that impulsivity can identify extreme aggressive individuals, without taking HIA (Hyperactivity, Impulsivity and Attention) problem as a entirety, to account, if shown with callous-unemotional traits. Keywords: Callous-unemotional traits, impulsivity, aggressive, conduct problem, youth, co-occurrence..

This thesis examines how power is constructed through language use in the Swedish mining policy with the legislative change proposition to enabling uranium mining. The aim is to analyze differences in how the government and municipalities formulate and justify their positions. The study adopts a qualitative case study design and applies Fairlough?s critical discourse analysis. The empirical material consists of a governmental press release and public consultation responses from municipalities.

Purpose: The primary aim of the study was to analyse and discuss how employees with a secondary nursing education describe their occupational character whilst working as well as the conditions for caring acts in a changing progress towards professionalism.Questions: What are the conditions to provide a high standard of care in this changing progress? What influence does it have on the occupational character ?Method: Critical case study and focus groupsConclusion: One of the central findings of the field study was the identification of two occupational identities; traditional and pedagogical orientated. These two occupational character traits are connected with different types of occupational competence and demands different theoretical knowledge. They also have different regards concerning the new title; social omsorgsassistent. A conclusion of the study is that a professional project of a non-specific nature is unable to stress the diffeRent levels of knowledge and competence that occupational identities have when one seeking professionalism..

Syftet med vårt examensarbete har varit att ta reda på hur erkänt duktiga lärare arbetar med kommunikation som en del av det pedagogiska handlandet, samt vilken syn de har på eleven både ur ett kunskapsperspektiv och ur ett rent mänskligt perspektiv. Vi har använt oss av en kvalitativ studie där vi valt att observera tre av de lärare som medverkade i Tv-dokumentären Klass 9A på Dvd. Innan vi gjorde vår observation skaffade vi oss en utökad förförståelse genom att ta del av vad både forskning och annan relevant litteratur tar upp inom området kommunikation, skolan som demokratisk arena samt lärarens yrkesroll.Resultatet av vår studie visar att det finns några saker som är viktiga för att skolan ska bli en plats där elever känner trygghet och lust till lärande. Kommunikativ kompetens, ett genuint intresse för eleven och ett personligt engagemang bildar den helhet som enligt oss, behövs för att lärarna skulle kunna skapa goda relationer med eleverna. Dessa relationer anser vi vara mycket betydelsefulla för att elever ska utvecklas både kunskapsmässigt och på det personliga planet..
