This thesis discusses the representation of bodies in todays non-fiction television in Sweden. I have chosen to focus on deviant bodies (sexual, deformed or unhealthy) on display in reality-shows and documentaries on SVT, TV4 but especially on the commercial channels TV3 and Kanal5. Also discussed are the viewers emotional and bodily reactions. Altough these shows are different from one another in many respects, I argue that there is also a common thread between them. From a sociological and cultural perspective, and with help of some historical examples, I try to illustrate how we view these shows and what their function is.

ABSTRACT Behavioural problems are a compound conception for emotional difficulties at diffeRent levels. Individuals with behavioural problems could have difficulties with social relations, low self-esteem, anxiety and worry. The purpose with the examination was to describe how clients apprehend their behavioural problems and what they consider could be the causes of it. The examination was based on the qualitative interviews with 5 clients and a professional helper. We came in contact with our clients through our practice.

The token economy program, which is a method for behaviour modification, has been used worldwide for different groups within different settings in order to vhange behaviour.Research has found the token economy program to be effective. However, research is limited to quantitative and experimental studies, and Swedish research in this field is brief. Nevertheless, the program is used in several institutions n Sweden. A qualitative study in Swedish settings could therefore be useful. The purpose of this paper is to examine the experiences of a token economy program using qualitative interviews.

Detta arbete gick i huvuddrag ut på att undersöka uppvärmningsproblematiken på Björkö Friskola i Linköping. Uppdraget hade som huvudsyfte att finna en lösning på det kalla inomhusklimatet i skolbyggnaderna. Det ingick även att finna lösningar på problem som anläggningen dragits med sedan byggnation. Efter avgasmätning på fjärrvärmepannorna konstaterades det att en av dessa utvecklade mycket låg effekt och hade dålig förbränning. En optimering av förbränningen utfördes som resulterade i mindre pannunderhåll och mindre miljöpåverkan.

Studiens syfte är att undersöka hur stor del av de män och kvinnor som döms till fängelse som har uppmärksamhetsstörning (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, ADHD). Den skall även besvara frågan om huruvida det finns skillnader mellan könen i prevalens, samt om det finns korrelation mellan ADHD och Antisocial personlighetsstörning (ASPD). Metoden som används är självskattningsformulär som är välbeprövade inom detta område, Wender-Utah rating Scale (WURS) och Mini Neuropsykiatrisk Intervju (M.I.N.I.). Formulären besvarades av 49 fängelsedömda män och kvinnor, vilka var inskrivna på kriminalvårdsanstalter i mellansverige. Resultatet av studien visar att en hög andel av den aktuella populationen har både ADHD och ASPD.

The intension with the thesis is to investigate how mass communication is adopted as a strategy to increase the membership activity within religious communions in Sweden. In the years past it has shown a decreased activity within religious communion, deliberate strategies have been missing and efforts on resources for less effective strategies have been made. The study has been carried out through a review of existing theory within the field of subject, communication within religious communion and the use of mass communication within religious communion. The Swedish church was chosen as a case, where three persons were interviewed. The result from this study shows that the Swedish church communication operates on several diffeRent levels: these are detached and self-determinate.

Sweden has today the highest moose (Alces alces) population in the world. The population has been very high since the late seventies and in the beginning of the eighties there was a big ?moose explosion?. The main food source for moose during the winter is young pine (Pinus sylvestris) and birch (Betula spp.). The high moose population has therefore lead to high damage on pine forests over big areas.

Syftet med studien har varit att beskriva och ge ökad förståelse för hur elever med hörselnedsättning deltar i dialog och samspel. Närmare bestämt har studien fokuserat elever som finns i hörselklassmiljö och har cohleaimplantat (CI) som sitt personliga hjälpmedel. I skolans styrdokument förespråkas elevaktiva arbetssätt och dialogen betonas särskilt. För att kunna vara delaktig i sin egen kunskapsutveckling, krävs deltagande på lika villkor samt tillgång till ett gemensamt språk. I dag får 90% av alla döva barn i Sverige ett CI inopererat.

With this study, our purpose has been to achieve profounded knowledge and understanding regarding the use of discretion among social workers specialized in social allowance issues. The Social Services Act, structured as a framework law in the Swedish context, provides the social worker with a certain degree of discretion, in order to enable accommodated decisions depending on client case specifics. This study problematizes these aspects of legal security, and our intention has been to examine which factors impact the assessments social workers carry out in statutory decisions of social allowance applications. To attain this, we narrowed down our intention into a number of distinct and delimitated research questions: (1) Which elements of the client case impact the social worker?s assessment? (2) Which external aspects influence the social worker?s assessments and decisions? (3) How do social workers decide the client?s credibility? In order to establish answers to our research questions, we have utilized a qualitative approach of research by exerting qualitative interviews in addition to a vignette study.

Syftet med denna uppsats är att genom en diskursanalys undersöka hur objekten kristna rum, riter och ritualer konstrueras i Kyrkans Tidning. Avsikten har dels varit att få en bättre förståelse för objektens innebörd, dels att se vilken bild av dessa som förmedlas till läsarna. De dominerande diskurserna i mitt material har varit den politiska, juridiska, kulturella och ekumeniska diskursen. Den musikaliska diskursen och säkerhets-, traditions- och arrangemangsdiskursen har också varit vanliga. Den religiösa diskursen har också kunnat identifieras på många ställen, men bedöms ändå som svagare än förväntat med tanke på den rika tradition av riter och symboler som ryms inom kyrkan och dess historia.

Denna rapport är en genomgång av arbetet med produktionen av en reklamfilm åt företaget Configura Systems AB. Arbetet startade med inledande möten med företaget samt utbildning i den programvara som reklamfilmen sedan skulle göras för.Utförandedelen av rapporten förklarar hur de olika scenerna i filmen är uppbyggda rent bildligt samt att det finns en genomgång av de olika tekniska metoder och programvaror som vi använt oss av i skapandet av filmen. Vidare beskrivs tankebanorna i de olika scenerna för att få tittaren och en potentiell InstantPlanner kund att hålla fokus på filmen.Det finns även med en del om hur kontakten med en röstläggare från England som har lagt allt röstmaterial på filmen gick till.I diskussionsdelen tas olika frågor och val som eventuellt skulle kunna ha gjorts annorlunda upp. Där tas också de problem som har uppkommit längs vägen upp, samt lösningarna, stora som små, och vad som skulle kunna förenkla liknande arbeten i framtiden.Bland bilagorna så finns den röstläggartext som skickades för inspelning samt det första (version.01) och det senaste (version.06) storyboardet..

This report is a study in voltagelevel in connection with regeneration of brake energy from the tramtype M31 in Gothenburg. In the act of braking, the tram M31 uses electrical braking where the electrical motors generates energy and if possible send it back to the overheadline, where other trams in the nearby can use this regenerated energy for its own driving force. In cases where no other energyconsumers are located in the same section, there is a resistance witch task is to convert this energy into heat. The regulation of this resistance appears to cause an increase in the voltagelevel into far too high levels. Investigations of the trams regulationequipment and its construction have been done. Further have measurements on the overheadline been performed in order to map the voltagevariations during a longer period of time. The result have been showing that the voltagelevel during regeneration often is as high as 880V-920V, more extreme values have not been observed in a large scale. The values are especially high compared to the nominal voltagelevel.
