This thesis is about a part of the marquetrytechnique, scorching. Scorching is made by heating up something, put a veneer into the heated substance and make a controlled burning. This technique is old but still used today and have according to me great potential for development. In my work I wanted to give the scorching greater room then I earlier have seen. I wanted the scorching to be the dominant ingredient for a decorative element in a piece of furniture or an interior.

The main fraction of this is extracted from eskers, some of which allow for very large extraction rates. Despite this, the groundwater volume is not sufficient in some areas. This has led to an extensive use of artificial recharge.In Uppsala, the total volume added through artificial recharge is divided between four infiltration facilities.

Detta arbete undersöker om peka-och-klicka-äventyrsspel kan ta hjälp av andra spelgenres sätt att tydliggöra ett interagerbart objekt. För att undersöka detta applicerades tre olika grafiska designval hos 3D-texturer på interagerbara objekt i en 3D-spelmiljö. Arbetet undersökte även vilken av dessa texturversioner som framförallt hjälpte informanterna att identifiera de interagerbara objekten utan att de var för uppenbara.Den teoretiska grunden innefattade teorier om perception, färglära och gränssnittens påverkan på immersion. Men även begrepp som ?affordance?, ?conceptual model? och realistisk spelgrafik har behandlats.Tolv informanter fick se de tre olika 3D-texturversionerna för de interagerbara objekten på renderade bilder från en 3D-spelmiljö.

At 18 sampling sites in the bay samples of water, sediments and benthic organisms were collected in late April of 2011. The water was analyzed for nitrate, phosphate and chlorophyll.

Den vanligast förekommande sjukdomen hos unga kalvar med infektiös orsak i Sverige är diarré. Enterit kan leda till uttorkning, acidos, rubbningar i elektrolytbalansen och i värsta fall dödsfall. Snabbt insatt behandling är avgörande. Till kalvar med fungerande digestionssystem rekommenderas i första hand behandling med oral vätsketerapi. Endast lite forskning har utförts om hur kalvar helst dricker sitt vatten.

Denna uppsats behandlar arbetarkonstens uppgifter och villkor under en period mellan sent 1800-tal till tidigt 2000-tal. Målet är att få reda på om villkoren har förändrats och i sådana fall varför och hur samt även få svar på frågan om arbetarkonsten har ett historiskt värde utöver det rent politiska..

Syftet med uppsatsen var att visa hur elever med lärstilarna visuell, auditiv, kinestetisk/taktil (VAK) beskriver ett pedagogskt ledarskap som gynnar deras lärstilar. Uppsatsen besvarar syftet genom en empirisk undersökning om ledarskap. Studien genomförs bland uppsatsförfattarens egna danselever. Resultatet visar att ett pedagogiskt ledarskap har stor betydelse för elevers lärande. Genom tydligt ledarskap och engagemang för individen kommer eleverna att lyckas.

Lagen hets mot folkgrupp tillkom 1948 med huvudsakligt syfte att motverka antisemitiskpropaganda. Lagen har successivt omarbetats och getts en vidare omfattning, såväl vadgäller vilka grupper som skyddas som vilken sorts uttalanden som kan föranleda straffansvar.Lagen har ? av varierande anledning - ifrågasatts från såväl juridiskt som politiskt håll.Huvudsakligen har kritiken handlat om att lagen är svårtolkad och otydligt utformad. I dennauppsats har jag granskat Justitiekanslerns beslut samt domar från samtliga instanser för attse hur lagen tillämpas, samt huruvida de olika instanserna inbördes och sinsemellan är enseom vilka bedömningsgrunder som ska vara centrala vid en prövning. Min slutsats är att lageninte ska förstås utifrån dess rent objektiva ordalydelse, utan tolkas i ljuset av grundlagarna,lagmotiven och även omständigheterna i det enskilda fallet.

The knowledge of the chloride content and its fluxes and patterns in trees is insufficient. Increased knowledge would be desirable, one of many reasons is to be able to more efficiently meet the problems that the substance causes in the pulp industry. The purpose of this study was to examine and describe the chloride concentration of Norwegian spruce (Picea abies L. Karst.) in the south of Sweden. Furthermore the aim was to be able to predict chloride concentration from readily measurable site factors.

The purpose of this project was to investigate if retention of polar compounds that are given to treat tuberculosis, diabetes, inflammatory bowel disease and childhood leukemia could be obtained with HILIC separation. By varying different parameters for different types of columns the compounds were analyzed with the aim of finding guidelines for future method optimizations. To perform these analyzes three different columns were tested ? ZIC-HILIC (silica-based with zwitterions), ZIC-pHILIC (polymer-based with zwitterions) and XBridge Amide (amide functions). The results were evaluated with selected quality measures.

Mobilitet förknippas med ett oberoende av att vara på en viss plats vid en viss tid och det kan skapa helt nya förutsättningar för kommunikation mellan medarbetare som jobbar i fält eller är på resande fot. Att kunna införa mobila IT-tjänster i sin verksamhet är för företag något som kan öka effektiviteten, spara resurser och minska fel i rapporteringen. Transportnäringen, vården, service och underhåll, försäljning, övervakning är verksamhetsområden där mobila IT-tjänster införts som hjälpmedel. Området har dock kantats av såväl missbedömningar som succéer.

Superficial digital flexor tendon injuries are common causes of premature retirement or pre-longed convalescence periods for race horses. The curve gradient at Täby Galopp race track is very small and most races as well as high speed training are done on the left rein. It is believed that the horses left foreleg is under considerably more strain then the right foreleg when being ridden on the left rein during gallop at high speed. During gallop on the left rein the horse puts its entire weight on the left foreleg when regaining ground contact. The purpose of this study has been to find out, through analyzing the statistics concerning the horses that visited the ATG clinic at Täby during a period between January 2003 and September 2006, whether there is a higher frequency of superficial digital flexor tendon injuries on the left leg rather than the right and if so, can this support the theory that the design of the race track in combination with continuous left rein races can be a contributing cause of these injuries. The result of the study shows that 57% of the tendon injuries occurred on the left front leg and 38% on the right front leg. The difference is not large enough to support the above theory of the underlying cause of these injuries..

Long time-series of pressure measurements often have high quality because the early instrumentsare more or less the same as the modern ones. A time-series from Lund consisting of three dailymeasurements from 1780-1997 has been homogenised and is therefore suitable for analysingpossible influences of the enhanced greenhouse effect. According to a two-layer model of theatmosphere one finds a shift in the frequency of baroclinic instability due to an increasedtemperature gradient caused by the increasing CO2. Baroclinic instability over the Atlantic Oceanis the main cause for frontal zone production, causing cyclonic activity over the southern part ofScandinavia. Changes to the baroclinic instability would therefore be traceable in the time seriesfrom Lund.

The purpose of this paper was to examine the inflation hedging capabilities of property shares. A common notion is that property is a good hedge against inflation. Indeed, positive correlations have been found for direct investments and inflation. However, property shares are generally perceived as a perverse inflation hedge. This discrepancy has often been quoted as evidence of property shares divergence from the development of the underlying property market.
