Nevertheless, people with cognitive and communicativedisabilities have limited access to common communication technology like textmessaging via a mobile phone. This study is part of the project Text messagingwith picture symbols - a possibility for AAC users and people with cognitiveimpairments. Semi structured interviews were used to investigate three menand four women?s experiences of using Windows mobiles with adaptedfunctions for text messaging.

I enlighet med uppdragets specifika-tioner kommer även förslag på förbättringar att presenteras. Förslagen bygger till största del på fakta från en leverantör av ventilkomponenter och av klassen ställda krav på installationen. Förbättringarna beaktar i huvudsak minskade risker och ökad säkerhet. De största skillnaderna med de nya förslagen är att länsvattensystemet skiljs från de övriga systemen, de viktigaste funktionerna fjärrstyrs med hjälp av pneumatik och systemets komponenter märks enligt branchstandard..

Projektet avser en konceptuell utveckling av en produkt för Scania. Scania är idag en världsledande tillverkare av tunga lastbilar, bussar och industri- och marinmotorer med huvudkontor i Södertälje. Syftet för projektet har varit att utreda vilka funktioner som chauffören har behov av att kunna kontrollera utanför lastbilshytten. Genom att undersöka arbetsflödet, analysera och lyfta fram var förbättringar kan göras, utveckla ett effektivt och innovativt koncept för att sedan kunna ge rekommendationer för framtida arbete. Tanken har även varit att öka varumärket Scanias exklusivitet genom att tillföra ett mervärde för kunden.Rapporten beskriver metoder, genomförande och resultat för projektet som har utförts som ett examensarbete för civilingenjörsutbildningen Teknisk design vid Luleå tekniska universitet.

This thesis examines the possible beneficial effects of a temporary cooperation between a national brand and a private brand. The main hypothesis suggests that if a national brand wants to make a category extension to a remote product category, it should be able to decrease its risk by affiliating itself with a private brand. The national brand should through such a brand alliance be able to borrow some of the flexible characteristics that a private brand possesses to increase its associations with the new category. The survey consisted of 800 questionnaires with different cooperations between a private brand (ICA) and two national brands (Tropicana and Bravo). These were handed out to students in the universities of Stockholm.

This project has revolved around finding better ways of overseeing vibrations of the gearbox at a wind power station. The gearbox has been a huge problem at the stations located at Gässlingen and the sooner the warning of an incoming breakdown is at hand the more money you can save from preparations. The work has been carried out together with Askalon AB in cooperation with consults from ÅF. Askalon is a company with a department focused on overseeing vibrations and it is in collaboration with that department the work has been carried out. During this work, new positions for the sensors and new methods of gathering and analyzing data have been worked out. This was then implemented at a wind power station to be tried out on site.

This bachelor thesis describes the process of developing a two wheeled robot with activebalancing. The robot is designed to go straight ahead until it reaches a finish line. En förutsättning för skoglig planering på alla nivåer är att man har en god uppfattning om tillståndet i den stående skogen. K valiten på de beslut som fattas kommer därför att vara direkt beroende av mängden och kvaliten på den information som samlats in. Sensorer som radar, lidar och olika typer av digitala kameror används idag med framgång för fjärranalys där skogen avbildas från ovan. Föreliggande arbete syftar till att belysa de tekniska förutsättningarna för att utnyttja modem sensorteknik även för markbaserade mätningar. Detta skulle i så fall öppna möjligheter att automatisera fångsten av skogliga data som därmed skulle bli kostnadseffektivare samtidigt som nya typer av data skulle bli tillgängliga.

This report is written for a consultant networking company with the purpose to review the development ofthe company's remote connections from a user friendly and security perspective.This includes an investigation of the possibilities to consolidate existing authentication methods foraccessing customers. The problem lies in the amount of methods being used. Through case study wefound that smart cards, SMS-service, software and hardware tokens exist.The only method feasible from a security perspective is smart cards. Since the method is not commonlyused by the company's customers a standardization of it would be counterproductive.Also, the purpose of this report is to investigate how the ongoing internal development of the remoteconnection will affect the company's clients. Within this framework we have also verified a designsuggestion.We interpret, after the completion of the case study, that the internal development of the remoteconnection is marginally affected by legal perspectives.

The industry struggles with problems concerning physical damage to wiresand communication in remote areas. Introducing a wireless network canprovide a solution to these issues. By utilizing the wireless communication standardIEEE 802.11 a product can easily be integrated into an existing wiredEthernet network (IEEE 802.3).An introduction to the standard IEEE 802.11 and a summary of existingproducts utilizing the standard for embedded systems will be giventhroughout the report. This report also tries to explain key parameters forwireless communication in an industrial environment.This project also consists of a design and an implementation part, where thechosen IEEE 802.11 standard will be integrated into the existing wiredAnybus-S Ethernet module from the company HMS Industrial Networks.The integration part of the project has resulted in a working prototype calledAnybus-S Ethernet Wireless that utilizes the IEEE 802.11b/g standard fortransferring data.The project has been really fun to participate in and it has been successful inthe terms that a working prototype exists, and the authors have gained theknowledge in the subject as intended..

Det här arbete behandlar grunderna i penetrationstestning, vilket är en metod föratt kontrollera säkerheten i datorer och nätverk genom att försöka sätta in sig isamma tankesätt och metoder som en potentiell angripare kan ha.Den teoritiska delen går igenom processen för hur ett penetrationstest kan gå tilloch vad som är viktigt att veta och att tänka på under penetrationstestet.Det presenteras även några populära och användbara verktyg som kananvändas för penetrationstestning, nämligen Nmap, Backtack, Nessus ochMetasploit, samt en nogrann beskrivning av några av de mest vanligtvisförekommande allvarliga sårbarheterna.I genomförandedelen utförs ett penetrationstest i en labmiljö, och sätter då deninformation i den teoritiska delen i praktik.
