For centuries, the human body has been used as a mean to project the norms, moral values and aesthetic preferences that exist throughout society. It has been controlled through constrictive fashion, family and social virtues and through how we perceive gender and sexuality. This essay strives to show, not only how the body and the aesthetic values coexist, but also how they work together and influence each other, with the body as the aesthetic medium. To do this, Michel Foucault?s writings of sexuality and his theories on morality and discipline, as well as Judith Butler?s works on normativity and performativity are being used.

ABSTRACTThe aim of this study was to give an overview of the evidence for genomic imprinting in livestock and other mammals as well as outline the potential use of gene imprinting in livestock breeding. Epigenetics is the mitotical and meiotical partial hereditary variation in genomic activity without any alterations of the DNA sequence. An example of epigenetic regulation is genomic imprinting where one allele?s expression differs depending on which parent it was inherited from. These parent-of-origin effects are currently overlooked in livestock production.

De fungerar till exempel som buffert för näringsämnen från attflöda ut i havet och dem ökar den biologiska mångfalden bland växter och djur.De flesta antropogena småvattnen har sitt ursprung från 1800-talet och 1900-taletsbörjan, då näringsrik märgellera grävdes upp från åkrar och hålen på åkrar fylldes uppmed nederbörd. I samband med jordbrukets effektivisering så jämnades många avdessa märgelhålor och antalet småvetten minskade avsevärt. Sedan mitten på 1980-talet har småvatten och våtmarker uppmärksammats i en rad olika miljöprojekt iSkåne.Syftet med denna magister uppsats i ämnet Naturgeografi är att uppskatta samt att i ettlängre perspektiv få reda på hur dessa småvatten förändringar skett de senaste 60 årenoch vilka effekter det haft för omgivningen. Metoden som användes var fjärranalys ikombination med fältbesök samt skärmdigitalisering i ett GIS.

The aim for this study where to investigate the frequency of cutting cracks in saw timber harvested in the storm-damaged forests in regions where the storms Hilde and Ivar hit. The idea for this work came from one of the region?s biggest actors, SCA Skog and Jämtlands district. The purpose where to find out how big proportion of the saw timber that contains cutting cracks, their financial cost in lost wood value and also give advice and suggestions on how to work against the frequency of cutting cracks. For the field-study some guidelines where used to make sure that the samples were taken under the same conditions, they were: ? The field-study must be performed under harvesting of storm-felled forest, which are horizontal/inclined trunks. ? The averaged sized tree will make it possible to harvest saw timber. ? The trunks can?t be root cut. A methodology called in Swedish ?Trissmetoden? was used because it is the most frequent used methodology in earlier performed studies and the only one that can be used I field. Under the field-study data were collected from 570 saw timber logs, 30 logs from each one of the tested harvesters.

Studien inriktar sig på att inventera vilka olika metoder som i dag finns på marknaden för hantering av skut. Utöver detta så har även en idéstudie gjorts för att ta fram förslag på hur LKAB eventuellt skulle kunna utforma en annan skuthanteringsanläggning. Idag hanteras skuten på produktionsområden på skutgaller som är beläget ovanför slasen och med en fjärrstyrd skutknackare på sidan. Gallret består av två öppningar med en balk mellan, måtten på vardera öppningen är 1,1x1,2 meter. För att ta reda på om potential finns för att ändra skuthanteringen i LKAB har data samlats in från fjärrlastningen om skutfrekvens, skutstorlek och andelen skut av malm i förhållande till gråberg.

The issues are related to marketing, brand building and the importance of developing a stable network. The study aims to investigate how small businesses operate in rural areas are experiencing the possibilities of support from various networks and organizations and that, from a business perspective, and also see which areas that they need more support in to achieve a growing business. The work has been followed by an inductive method, when we initially could not say anything about the empirical results.

This report was written by Lisa Bengtson and Hanna Paradis and describes the degree thesis "Environmental impacts of solid waste treatment in the Metropolitan Region, Santiago, Chile ? a comparison between current system and incineration with energy recovery". The purpose of this thesis was to investigate if incineration with energy recovery could be motivated through an environmental perspective as an alternative to landfilling of solid waste in Santiago, Chile. The study was performed with Life Cycle Analysis as a theoretical base. In Santiago, situated in the thirteenth region of Chile, Región Metropolitana, lives 6,5 million inhabitants. The major part of the solid waste produced in the region is landfilled on three different sanitary controlled landfills situated outside the city center.
