Background: Parents attitudes about illness and health reflects on their children. When the child has acute pain the parents often reacts with fear and confusion. The demands on the parenting role increase and therefore it´s important that the nurse show consideration for the parents experience and practise family nursing. Aim: The aim of this study was to illuminate parents experiences in connection with their child´s acute pain in a caregiving situation. Method: This literature study is based on ten scientific articles.

Background: Children?s death is unexpected and unnatural irrespective of a long time of illness or a sudden death. Nurses working with palliative care of children experience a range of different emotions during the care. Palliative care is health promoting even though the purpose no longer is to cure. According to the nursing theorist Katie Eriksson health is possible to achieve even though the patient has got a deadly disease.

The purpose of this study was to examine and describe how politicians and directors of care define and experience quality in aged care facilities. Further on we wanted to compare on which fundamental principles the participants base their opinion about quality and how they work with quality. To reach our aim we conducted five interviews with politicians and directors of care. The results show that it is hard to determine quality in an unambiguous and objective way. Quality in aged care appears to be about relations and encounters amongst people.

När en patient drabbas av en total hjärninfarkt och blir aktuell för organdonation ställs det höga krav på intensivvårdssjuksköterskan. Tidigare studier visar att intensivvårdssjuksköterskor oroas av att vårda blivande organdonatorer och samtidigt stödja dennes närstående. Syftet var att belysa intensivvårdssjuksköterskors upplevelse av att stödja närstående till patienter med total hjärninfarkt i samband med organdonation. En kvalitativ metod med innehållsanalys av en fokusgruppsintervju genomfördes.Det framkom två huvudkategorier, Närståendes behov och Intensivvårdssjuksköterskans förmåga att ge stöd. Intensivvårdssjuksköterskans upplevelse påverkades i hög grad av hur närstående reagerade på situationen gällande organdonationsprocessen.

This study aims to find out what students think about bilingualism as well as whether there are advantages and disadvantages of it, based on the children's perspective. All children in this class are bilingual, is thus a mother tongue other than Swedish. All were born in Sweden but has parents who are originally from / born in other countries in addition to having mom who was born in Sweden but originally from another country. In my study I have chosen to use qualitative methods in which I used semi-structured interviews and non participant observations. In the study, I have come to interview the children think that being bilingual is good, they mean that there are some drawbacks to this except that it can sometimes be a bit hard when someone does not understand.

Eleverna i detta fall var elever som gick i årskurs åtta på Skiljeboskolan i Västerås. För att beskriva överensstämmelsen gjordes en fallstudie där empiri insamlades genom intervjuer, där det togs reda på om vilka skillnader och likheter som fanns mellan elevernas uppfattning och den varumärkesidentitet som Carlforsska gymnasiet ville förmedla med ?The Carlforsska experience?.

BACKGROUND: Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is a slow progressive disease affecting the family caregivers by limiting their lifestyle. Subsequently the situation can be experienced as stressful for both the afflicted and the relatives. To easier understand the needs of the caregivers of family members suffering from COPD have, it is important to get an insight into their experience of every-day life, so that medical staff can help, support and promote their health according to their needs. AIM: To illustrate caregivers? experiences of living with a family member suffering from Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease.

Denna uppsats handlar generellt om hjälp och stöd för anhöriga till alkohol- och narkotikamissbrukare, och berör specifikt den hjälp som finns att tillgå inom Sundsvall kommun, hur den uppfattas, samt vilken hjälp och stöd som önskas. Tidigare forskning har påpekat att hjälp och stöd kan vara av vikt då det finns vissa risker förknippat med att vara anhörig till en missbrukare. Dock anser inte alla att det är ett problem vilket också gör att den ökade medikaliseringen i vårt samhälle kan ha en negativ inverkan på vissa anhöriga, till exempel kan det leda till att människor placeras i fack. Det kan samtidigt betyda att andra blir hjälpta. Vi har gjort en kvalitativ studie med semi- strukturerade intervjuer.

Webbdesign är ett hantverk med potential till oändlig variation och oräkneliga möjligheter, men det är även en process styrd av standarder och förhållningssätt för att optimera resultatet för slutanvändaren. Begrepp så som user experience och framför allt user experience design har i och med utvecklingen blivit allt viktigare aktörer inom webbdesign. Samtidigt som de underlättar i utvecklingsprocessen genom att diktera hur design bör utformas, skapar de inte också då begränsningar av potentialen för webbdesign? Antalet variationer och möjligheter minskar drastiskt när webbdesigners anpassar sig efter dessa standarder.Den här undersökningen syftar till att utveckla nya metoder och strategier för att främja innovativ webbdesign och undersöka hur modebranschens konstanta strävan efter innovation skulle kunna inspirera och kanske till och med förändra webbdesign utvecklingen. Genom att bryta ner, analysera och sammanfoga designprocesserna för haute couture och webbdesign skapas en designmetod som ger medvetenhet i designval och hjälper att ifrågasätta standarder samt att undersöka alternativa lösningar.

The purpose of this thesis was to explore how Swedish librarians working with educational matters In Swedish: studiebibliotekarier experience his/her pedagogic work in the context of a public library. My intention was thus to reach an understanding of how they experienced their educational work. The following questions were asked: 1 How do the librarians experience the physical environment created for their students? 2 How do the librarians experience the co-operation with others involved in their work? 3 How do the librarians experience the formal task that he/she now is given? 4 How do the librarians experience their own pedagogic qualifications regarding the demands that are made upon them by the students? I have interviewed six librarians and incorporated theories on pedagogic roles in an educational context. I reached the conclusion that these librarians believed the environment to be important for the outcome of the students success with their studies.

Syftet med studien var att beskriva sjuksköterskans upplevelser av plötslig oväntad död relaterat till sig själv och mötet med anhöriga.Metoden var en beskrivande litteraturstudie baserad på elva vetenskapliga artiklar utifrån databaserna Cinahl och PubMed. En metodologisk granskning genomfördes också av artiklarnas urvalsmetod.Resultatet visade att sjuksköterskorna upplevde att de saknade utbildning och kunskap i att ta hand om anhöriga vid plötslig oväntad död. De anser att det är deras arbetsuppgift att ta hand om anhöriga till patienter som hastigt avlidit och de beskriver att de upplever detta som tungt och ledsamt på ett personligt plan. För att bearbeta dessa känslor anser sjuksköterskorna att de finner det bästa stödet i att prata med kollegor inom personalgruppen.Slutsatsen är att en kunskapslucka finns hos sjuksköterskan gällande oväntad död och omhändertagande av anhöriga till patienter som plötsligt avlidit. Adekvat utbildning inom området skulle leda till ökat självförtroende och kompetens i att hantera svåra situationer och därmed ge ett bättre omhändertagande till anhöriga..

Background:A trauma is a potential life threatening state which demands special resources and optimal care. Trauma doesn't just mean physical violence against the body, it can also put the patient in a psychological crisis. The trauma care in the emergency department is a short and intensive assessment between the patient and the emergency staff, where there is a risk that the patient may feel exposed and uncomfortable. For the nurse to be able to provide security and meet the patients' needs of well-being during the trauma care, the nurse has to try to understand the patients' needs and experiences. Aim: The aim of this study was to illuminate the patient's experiences during trauma care in the emergency department.

Abstract Chronic heart failure is a common disease in elderly, and is the most common reason for hospitalization in patients over 65 years of age. Research on the elderly and heart failure often focus on treatment strategies, less research is available on patients' own experiences of living with chronic heart failure. The purpose of this interview study, was to gain more knowledge about patients´ own experiences of living with chronic heart failure. Nine patients were interviewed and the text was transcribed verbatim and it was then analyzed with a phenomenological hermeneutical method. From the analysis, three main themes emerged.

Since the release of Avatar in 2009, the 3D movie industry has experienced an apparent growth. Almost all blockbuster movies are being released in 3D at the cinema, but the 3D format has been met with mixed opinions by the consumers. Some argue that 3D is the future, while others believe that the 2D format is enough for an appreciated movie experience. Through a qualitative survey, twenty participants with 3DTV in their homes answered questions regarding their experience of 3D movies and what improvements they desire. We suggest that 3D film creates immersion, realism and effects that 2D films can´t handle.
