The subject of this thesis is the history of the library at The Göteborg Museum of Art. The aim of the thesis is to depict and analyze the emergence and the expansion of the library?s holdings until 1939. To fulfill the aim, two questions are asked. The first question is: Is it possible to argue that the library?s holdings were collected to document the entire world of art? The question is formulated in relation to a comment by Susan Wyngaard.

Hegel?s master-slave dialectic has often been used as a model or starting point for later theories about emancipation and subversive changes in society. But one often overlooks the fact that the chapter in The Phenomenology of Spirit ends in disaster, as Judith Butler remarks. Instead of realising freedom, the consciousness gets entangled in self debasing activities in its attempts to master the unrelenting principles of the abstract freedom.  The aim of this essay was to examine the way preschool teachers and children converse during school meals, and also the way preschool teachers start and develop conversations during meals. The conversations were analyzed from the topic of conversation and the teachers' ways of using language acts such as questions, remarks, exhortations. The study was based on observations, tape recording and contact schedule. The result shows that the topic of conversation is significant for how involved teachers are in conversations during meals. The result also shows how conversations develop or end depending on what language acts teachers use.

Vad värdesätter och förväntar sigföretagskunden i en befintlig relation med eventföretaget?Påverkas eventföretagets relationsmarknadsföring av kundensförväntningar och i så fall hur?.

Studien syftar till att studera interaktionen mellan riskfylld livsstil och relation till föräldrar vid förklaring av ungdomsbrottslighet. Forskningen kring interaktionen är otillräcklig men lämnar vissa indikationer på att interaktionen kan ha en inverkan på ungdomars brottslighet. Studien testar hypotesen om att en starkare relation till föräldrar minskar livsstilens effekt på ungdomars brottslighet. Studiens resultat och slutsatser baseras på kvantitativ data från en enkätundersökning utförd i Halmstad (N = 1003) år 2005. Fyra blockvisa multipla linjära regressionsmodeller beräknas där den beroende variabeln brottslighet förklaras av fem variabler: kön, invandrarbakgrund, relation till föräldrar, livsstilsrisk och interaktionen mellan relation till föräldrar och livsstilsrisk.

AbstractWhy don't (some) regimes with formal democratic features undergo transition to democracy? Which are the internal dynamics of these regimes that can offer comprehension to this state of affairs? The main purpose of this thesis is to advance the above questions, and, on a lower level of abstraction, examine the case of Egypt. The Egyptian regime is characterized by, for instance, a multiparty-system, steps toward economic liberalization, and some level of persistent state opposition, and has been considered on the way to liberal democracy, but can still hardly be estimated as such.Thus, the thesis takes part in a theoretical framework on democratization, and further analyzes the case of Egypt on grounds of socioeconomic development, political culture, and class configuration. By this contextual approach, the thesis adduces that a low level of modernization, an incomplete democratic political culture, and a bourgeoisie supported by the state are impending significant factors. The thesis additionally remarks on the interconnection of the adopted theories, and discusses a potential need for new theoretical propositionsA secondary aim of the thesis also gives some insights into the concurrence of regime stability and the absence of democracy in, what often could be labelled, authoritarian regimes.

This paper thoroughly investigates needs and requirements for overhead distribution feeder inspection and develops models to investigate possible relations between short term inspections remarks and outages. The study was conducted in collaboration with Fortum Distribution AB that supplied extensive information about their overhead power feeders concerning both inspection and power outages. The investigated models where lognormal linear model, Poisson generalized linear model and negative binomial generalized linear model. All models were implemented utilizing offset terms to compensate for differences in feeder length and amount of overhead versus underground feeders. The Poisson generalized linear model was rejected at an early stage due to overdispersion and neither of the remaining models fit the data perfectly.

Undersökningen ger en inblick i hur etablering av relationer går till mellan föräldrar och förskollärare under inskolning på en tysk förskola och två svenska förskolor. Undersökningsmodellen utgick från en kvalitativ ansats där vi har genomfört intervjuer och observationer med föräldrar och förskollärare. Förutom att belysa hur etableringen går till och vikten av den, tar vi även upp faktorer som kan påverka etableringen av relationer. Det första mötet är bland det viktigaste som finns när en ny relation etableras poängterar såväl föräldrar som förskollärare. Det kan bero på att det är just det mötet som kan komma att forma hela den fortsatta relationen mellan föräldrarna och förskollärarna.

Syfte: Vårt syfte är att studera styrningen samt relationen av human-, struktur- och kundkapital. Analysera denna relation mellan tjänsteproducerande och varuproducerande företag. Samt att diskutera kapitalen i relation till redovisningen..

The purpose of this thesis is to investigate the habits of borrowing books among third-grade pupils. My aim is also to study what significance their teacher and the librarian have on the pupils? borrowing habits. Based on the results from an experiment, two observations, interviews and by compiling a list of short summaries of literature relevant to my thesis. I wanted to compare earlier research with my own results and also reflect on remarks made by librarians and teachers concerning the children?s reading and use of the library.

Denna rapport syftar till att undersöka vem som anmäler brott i nära relationer iVästernorrlands län och om det skiljer sig mellan kommunerna. Detta har gjortsgenom att gå igenom alla anmälningar inom brottsgruppen under ett år. Någonstörre skillnad har inte kunnat utläsas. Vid genomgången av anmälningarnaupptäcktes dock ett problem med att många av anmälningarna inte handlade omen nära relation. Syftet utvidgades då till att undersöka även hur brottskodningenfungerar och tillförlitligheten till statistiken som presenteras.

The high debt levels experienced in European Countries have lead to academic interest in the deficit bias -the tendency for governments to run budget deficits and accumulate debt. In part one of this thesis a surveyof the economic literature on the origins and solutions to the deficit bias are conducted. The proposedinstitutional solution to the deficit bias in the form of Fiscal Policy Councils (FPC) are outlined and existingEuropean FPCs presented. Based on the works of Calmfors and Wren-Lewis (2011) the EuropeanCommission (EC) is defined as an FPC. Based on this survey, two hypothesis are formulated: (1) theforecasts of future macro-economic events and fiscal performance will differ between the national FPCs andthe national government.

ABSTRACT The purpose of this essay has been to analyse an incident that received huge attention in the media that took place on February 24 2011 involving the famous fashion designer John Galliano. Galliano who at the time served as a creative director at French luxury fashion house Dior hurled anti-Semitic remarks during an altercation to a couple at Paris café La Perle. We intended to do a study of the material in two parts. The primary focus of our thesis was to analyse six different newspaper articles that involved the incident. We chose to analyse three articles from Great Britain and three from the United States to get a versatile image of the incident.

In these days we can witness a growing number of combined school and public libraries in Sweden. It can be explained as an economy measure or as an attempt to develop the library work. The aim of this thesis is to picture how working in combined libraries affects high school librarians? own apprehensions of their professional identity. The results are based on in-depth interviews made with four high school librarians, working not only towards the students but also the public.
