Syftet med studien var att undersöka aktivitetsförmåga, symtom, smärta och tillfredställelse samt sambandet mellan aktivitetsförmågan, gipstid och antalet behandlingstillfällen hos arbetsterapeut efter tumbasartroplastik 1 till 2 år efter operation och efterföljande rehabilitering. Till samtliga patienter (n = 80) som opererades från jan 2008 till mars 2009 skickades självskattningsinstrumentet, hälsoenkäten Quick DASH samt ett frågeformulär gällande om man var tillfredställd/ nöjd med operationen. Hälsoenkäten belyser dimensioner av hälsorelaterad livskvalité och kan vara till god hjälp i det kliniska arbetet. Svarsfrekvensen i studien var 91 % och 86 % av patienterna svarade att man var nöjd med operationen. Quick DASH score räknades ut (n = 67) till medianvärde på 11,4 poäng .

The purpose of this essay was to study social workers´ and polices contributions with criminal youth gangs and get an insight in how co-operation in the contributions between these governments comes to rank and works.To find out, we carried out a study with a qualitative design based on document studies and interviews with social workers´ and polices who were meeting youths in their work.Our findings were that it's hard to define a criminal youth gang. The social workers´ and polices have both individual and common contributions with criminal youth gangs. One of their most important lining is to prevent new recruitment of young people to criminality. The social workers´ and polices both have an intention to cooperate but they can?t agree about the method of work they shall use, ?the kid-glove or the whip?..

The phenomenon of social gaming is essentially an IT-service that people worldwideuses on a daily basis. This particular market is also young and generates tremendousamounts of data, which, from a data managing perspective, makes it naturallyinteresting. Throughout this thesis the social gaming market is described from the datamanaging and different actors perspectives. This is done by using literature reviewing,interviews with companies and analysis based on that information. The thesis initiallypresents important and central terms as well as different techniques.

Bakgrund: Cirka 55 000 cancerdiagnoser ställs varje år i Sverige. Ungefär 7000 av dessa är kvinnor som drabbas av någon form av bröstcancer. Detta innebär att bröstcancer anses vara den vanligaste form av cancer bland kvinnor. Dagligen diagnostiseras mellan 15 till 20 kvinnor i Sverige med bröstcancer. Syfte: Syftet är att belysa kvinnors livskvalitet efter diagnostiserad bröstcancer.Metod: För att besvara studiens syfte användes systematisk litteraturstudie som metod.

The main purpose is to illuminate how a company links certain values to its brand in an effort to achieve a competitive position. We have done this by studying the government owned company Svenska Spel and its entrance on the netpokermarket. With Corporate Social Responsibility as a guidance for the company they wanted to offer Swedish gamblers an alternative to the, often morally dubious, international actors. Our thesis has taken an internal (corporate) as well as an external (consumer) perspective on the result of this strive. Our conclusions are that although Svenska Spel is successfully integrating social responsibility into their netpokerbusiness, they are facing a difficulty in making the consumer fully appreciate it.

Aim: To investigate the quality of life and the social life situation, with special focus on the consequenses of fear of hypoglycemia (FoH), in Islet transplanted patients.Method: 11 patients were included, four women and seven men, who have been Islet tranplanted at Uppsala University Hospital during the years 2001-2009. Two questionaires, Short Form 36 (SF-36) and the Swedish version Hypoglycemia Fear Survey (Swe-HFS) were used to investigate the quality of life, in relation to fear of hypoglycemia. Also, telephone interviews were conducted to investigate the patients social life situation in relation to FoH, after Islet transplantation and were analysed using content analysis method.Results: The mean value for quality of life was lower than that in the normal population. Three out of ten patients experienced FoH. Three predominant themes were revealed, one theme associated with pre- transplant, was ?Struggle for control of Social Life Situation? and two themes associated with post-transplant, were ?Regain power and controll of  Social Life Situation? and ?At Peace with the balance between the Present and the Future?.Conclusion: The patients experienced improved control over social life situation and quality of life in relation to FoH may been improved following islet tranplantation..

Tillhörighet och att få vara en del av ett socialt sammanhang är nödvändigt för oss människor. Social exkludering utgör ett hot mot individens välbefinnande och har visats påverka individens beteende och åsikter. Syftet med studien var att undersöka om människor är mer intoleranta mot personer de inte känner tillhörighet med, om social exkludering leder till en ännu mer intolerant hållning samt om individens behov av tillhörighet påverkar hur de mår vid social exkludering. I studien deltog 26 studenter varav hälften blev exkluderade under ett datorspel. Deltagarna svarade på enkäter om hur de mådde, åsiktsfrågor och deras behov av tillhörighet.

Inledning: Eftersom den psykodynamiska psykoterapin har kraftig konkurrens från andra terapiformer, samtidigt som kraven på effektivitet, snabbhet och evidens från hälso- och sjukvårdsetablissemanget är starka, är det viktigt att som psykodynamiker delta i diskursen kring den psykodynamiska psykoterapins vetenskapsteoretiska status. Hur kan man karakterisera den psykodynamiska psykoterapin om den dels inte är identisk med psykoanalys, dels heller inte automatiskt kan inordnas i det medicinsk-biologiska paradigmet? Uppsatsen har som syfte att definiera och undersöka om psykodynamisk psykoterapi kan betraktas som behandling och/eller en moralisk etisk praxis.Frågeställningar: Psykodynamisk psykoterapi ? är den en egen humanvetenskap? Hur kan man definiera och se på behandling och behandlingsmål i den psykodynamiska psykoterapin?Metod: Litteraturstudie med en hermeneutisk ansats.Resultat: Det finns olika sätt att se på den psykodynamiska psykoterapin när det gäller dess vetenskaplighet. Frågan om psykodynamisk psykoterapi är behandling i gängse medicinsk bemärkelse, har heller inget enkelt entydigt svar. Till synen på behandling hör också målet med densamma.

AbstractThe struggle for land has been an issue ever since Brazil was colonized by the Portuguese Crown. The deep social inequalities that the country faces were raised then. More than 45% of the agricultural land is controlled by only 1% of the landowners. There have been many movements since then, who has fought for agrarian reforms.MST, the largest social movement in Brazil, was born in the 1980s. They managed to mobilize the peasants and the poor people.

The purpose of this study has been to investigate which factors are important with foster home placing, to achieve a positive result for the child. The questions that we have focused on is the importance of the child's earlier experiences and relations, the foster homes attitude and approach, the social service organization and the cooperation between these concerned parties. We have also looked at the importance that the relation between the biological family, the child and the foster home can have. This study has been carried out using qualitative interviews with several foster homes, social welfare secretaries and a researcher in the area. We have also chosen to separate the foster homes on the basis of two foster homes only accepting teenagers while other accepting younger children.The theoretical concepts we have chosen to use are connected to attachment theory and the ecology of human development point of view.
