Our curiosity was awakened when we became aware that many social workers use "mindfulness" methods in their profession. In this study, we used qualitative methodology in our desire to examine and understand why the mindfulness approach, with its roots in eastern philosophy, is becoming established in society at large and, simultaneously, being used in the social work field. We were interested in when and why social workers choose to use mindfulness with their clients. Our prior research has revolved around development and use of methods in social work, and on the human reaction to stress.We conducted seven semi-structured interviews, which incorporated four comprehensive questions:1. Why has the mindfulness method become established in the social work field and in the culture in general?2.

Bakgrund: Sedan 1990-talet har stroke ökat från 15 till 21 procent bland män och kvinnor i åldern 35-44 år. Sveriges befolkning lever längre idag, framförallt för att hjärt- och kärlsjukdomar har minskat. Däremot har förekomsten av stroke bland yngre ökat. Det är cirka 400 unga vuxna varje år som insjuknar vilket påverkar deras familj och arbetssituation. Orsaken till varför stroke ökar i yngre åldrar kan bero på förändrade levnadsvanor.

Vi har funnit att den sociala identiteten har förändrats på Banverket Projektering i och med organisationsförändringen, och att coaching haft inverkan på detta. Vidare har framkommit att det förekommer gråzoner inom coachingverksamheten. Gråzonerna kan motverkas genom social identitetscoaching. Social identitetscoaching bygger på utvidgad och koncentrerad gemenskap, utbyte av åsikter och trygghet för de anställda..

Lately, alarming reports have appeared regarding the work environment and work situation of social workers. Research focusing on the promotion of health and well-being in the workplace among other professionals show that factors such as social relationships, ability to influence their work situation and leadership are important. A quantitative study was conducted focusing on the work climate for social workers employed by some of the district administrations in the City of Malmö. A questionnaire with questions and statements on various factors in the work environment was sent to 34 social workers. They were asked how important these factors were for their well-being, as well as to what extent they felt that these factors were present at work.

To log on to social media has become an obvious part of people's everyday routine. Pictures, videos, opinions, and thoughts are posted and read by people's social networks worldwide. In doing so, the present study chose to examine whether what is posted on social media, as well as what the individuals are exposed to on social media can be related to their motivation and self-esteem. By letting 117 adolescents aged 16-19 answer a questionnaire regarding which social media they are active on, how often they are active there, and what they post on those social medias. By also letting them evaluate how they see themselves, if they compare themselves with others and how motivated they are to physical activity and healthy eating habits, we could see that to those who post pictures, and are exposed to images represent exercise / health on social media have higher self-esteem and driven more by internal motivation to engage physical activity than those who do not.

The aim of this thesis was to examine how a coordinator at a social welfare project in support of job seekers, achieve results in his efforts to reduce the number of clients with social assistance. The method of data collection was a mixture of open thematic interviews and semi- structured interviews with open questions. The coordinator was interviewed four times during the length of the project. In addition, two of his clients were interviewed. The data also includes a report from the relevant social services and other documents such as newspaper articles.

Social work has gone from being a primarily philanthropic issue to becoming an academic discipline at university level. To ensure its legitimacy social work must be founded on, and developed through scientific research and documented experience. The purpose of this essay is to review the various arguments on social work in order to evaluate their impact on education, which in turn affects students. In addition, it will demonstrate how different forms of knowledge are valued depending on the contexts. As a means of reaching this objective, the following questions are addressed: ?What are the requirements and recommendations on how the education of social work should be structured, and why are these requirements and recommendations important??, ?How has the education of social work been influenced by the perception of valuable knowledge?? and ?How does the education of social work affect students?? The collected material consists of various arguments concerning the development of social work and the education of social work's formation.

Bakgrund: Ett grundläggande emotionellt behov hos människan är fysisk beröring, som vid vissa sjukdomstillstånd kan vara svåra att tillfredsställa inom vården. Effekten av beröringen gör att människan blir mer avslappnad, samma effekt kan en person få från fysisk beröring av sällskapsdjur. Djurassisterad terapi kan användas som en kompletteringsbehandling inom sjukvården.Syfte: Att beskriva vilka djurarter som används i djurassisterad terapi och på vilket sätt de kan användas i vården för rehabilitering och habilitering av patienter. Syftet var vidare att beskriva om det har effekt på hälsan och i så fall vilken effekt det har.Metod: Litteraturstudie med 11 utvalda artiklar från databaserna CINAHL, PubMed och Google scholar. Artiklarnas kvalitet granskades, resultaten analyserades och presenteras efter studiens frågeställningar.Huvudresultat: Flertalet djurarter kan användas för djurassisterad terapi vid både psykisk och fysisk ohälsa.

In this essay we have examined how social workers experience their positions as a public authority person in a society of democracy. As a public officer you have to follow rules and obey the law, which can be difficult if they don't agree with your personal opinion and values. In social work you work with people in a vulnerable situation and it may become extremely demanding to stand between the directions of established public administration and your own opinions. We have interviewed ten social workers working in social childcare division and analysed how they experience their situation at work. Our starting point is the critical theory of professor Lennart Lundquist about how democracy works in Swedish administrations.

Our study has its starting point in the Swedish social legislation (Socialtjänstlagen) and more specifically in the 6th chapter's 5th paragraph. That paragraph regulates that social workers should try to find a kinship care placement when they are about to do a placement of a child. Our purpose is to examine how social workers, before they do a placement of a child, understand the informal kinship that is not relatives, if they consider the informal kinship and if certain circumstances have an impact on the consideration. To get this information we have done five interviews with social workers. Recent studies show that social workers in past years have begun to think more positively of people's kinships and that they more often use the resources of the kinship.

Social media has changed the way that corporations can communicate with their target groups. Instead of using one?way communications that has been significant for traditional massmarketing, social media has given corporations the possibility to truly interact with their clients and through the interaction build strong relationships. The interaction is an ideal process for corporations to create brand associations and strengthen their brand equity to position their brands in the minds of the consumers. But social media is also a devious medium because everyone are invited to contribute their opinion and news travel fast in social atmosphere, success and crisis can appear fast and out ofnowhere.

The increasing significance of social economy as a concept is linked to general global processes such as the crisis of the welfare state, neoliberal globalization, anti-bureaucracy tendencies and decentralization, but also to a growing political interest in human rights and social development. In Sweden the idea of the social economy generates wide support within civil society as well as within the government and across party political boundaries. Furthermore, what is problematic in this context is the fact that the discussions on the subject tend to be relatively uncritical and often it seems as if though the expansion itself is the main objective. The emphasis on cooperation and the third sector in terms of welfare production implies a set of risks in relation to state responsibility, democracy and the autonomy of civil society. The main purpose of this paper is to describe and analyse how social worker on a specific Social Service Agency describe their experiences. My focus has been to concentrate on social worker, whose task is related to young people. The paper is presented from three different themes; work assignments, professional roles and projects in life. The central questions are; Which are the socialworker´s main tasks? How does the social worker see himself in his professional role? Have their expectations been fulfilled? Where do they get their motivation from? Which are the reasons why the job as social worker is so strenuous? I have interviewed four social workers (semi-structured interviews), and a qualitative method is used.

Det huvudsakliga syftet med denna uppsats har varit att fokusera på Projekt MatchningsArena Timrå, ett pilotprojekt i Timrå kommun för myndighetssamverkan i rehabilitering av de särskilt utsatta, de som står längst bort från arbetsmarknaden och vars komplexa problem och hjälpbehov kräver mer än myndigheterna individuellt klarar av att ge. Informationen om detta projekt har inhämtats dels via dess publikationer påwww.esf.seochwww.timra.se,  men även genom samtal och intervjuer med medarbetarna och en enkätundersökning till deltagarna. Tidigare samverkansprojekt och forskning kring ämnet har legat till grund för en jämförelse mellan MatchningsArenan och tidigare försök och erfarenheter. Det har visat sig att myndighetssamverkan dels är en gammal företeelse, dels att denna företeelse i modern tid blivit mer eller mindre nödvändig för att kunna ge de individer som har sammansatta problem och står långt ifrån arbete den hjälp som berörda myndigheter ska kunna ge. För att en sådan samverkan ska fungera krävs att man gemensamt ser till individen och utgår ifrån dennes behov, motiverar och stärker dennes självkänsla och behåller individen i fokus så att han eller hon själv upplever sig vara delaktig i och ?äga? sin rehabiliteringsplan.
